YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IS GOING TO BE STANDING AROUND ON THE SET OF CRIMINAL MINDS.
One of the first things I learned on the set of Criminal Minds is that there is always something happening all over the huge building. Everywhere you look something is going on. Sets are being built for future episodes, cast members are in wardrobe getting fitted for outfits for current and future episodes, background people are on the set and mulling around Craft Services, props people are hard at work, hair and makeup people are on constant stand by. Producers, writers and cast are everywhere. There is really no way to adequately describe the tremendous amount of activity that is constantly going on at any one given time. Since it was my first day on the set I was just amazed at how many people there were all over the place. My CBS benefactor told me that it takes the work of over 200 people to produce each episode.

I have always loved getting "the inside scoop" on stuff and this is so cool that we have our own personal source to give us a little bit of that! Don't leave out anything big or small....I want to hear about everything!
I just realized that is Reid's back. Cool.
I was going to say that the back looked very familiar
I am loving all these little teasers and photos.
As the T-birds said to Danny Zuko: Tell me more, tell me more

Loved the picture even if it is the back of Reid. lol. Thank you so much for posting this. It is truly amazing to have an oppritunity such as this. A huge thank you to the cast for letting this normal person have a glimpse into your world.
Did you have the desire to tackle him and smother him in kisses? I would have!
Any picture of that guy is a good picture!
Fire extinguishers- great for cooling off some of his more aggressive fans!
Just catching up on "Jill's Big Adventure!" I am so glad you had such a wonderful experience ! I am waiting to hear all about Kristen!
I'm with Allie -- I'm afraid I would have channeled my inner Morgan and tackled him. Hehehe!
Oh -- I love the fire extinguishers -- obviously some kind of museum set?
Hmmmm. Verrrrrrry interesting.
Okay. I just didn't want to be the first to say it earlier, I'd recognized Matthew's hair anywhere. Which is really bad because I don't have any skill at remembering faces and names. But did you get any pictures of him from the front? Please, please, please? If you did do you mind if I save one or two for screen savers? Pretty please?
You are so focused, Jill, I would have been too busy drooling to remember how to work the camera.

Hey, Reid, we are here! C'mon, boy, look at us....I LLLLOVE your hair, but I'm totally crazy about your EYES! So...look this way, PLEEEEZ!!!
I know you must have pics of his face but I even like this one of his perfect Gubler back. How sad a person am I!
I recognized Gubler's hair right off. He's even good looking from the back! LOL. This is so awesome reading about each moment of the day on the set!!!
Matthew is a living doll. He is a sweetie and I do have tons of great pics of him from both of my days on the set. I just need to report my days in the order they happened. :)
Even his back is yummy!
This sounds soooo exciting and interesting. Thanks for sharing all your great experiences with us:)
Hey, I hope you got some photos of Paget Brewster - I think she is great and I am so glad she joined my favourite show.
that picture makes me just want to jump on him!
Is it Mandy?
(joke)
Jill, great job on all you do on the blog. Great pic of Reid's back. Glad you had fun with this opportunity of a lifetime to meet such a great cast and crew of CM!! I look forward to hearing more about your trip!
Thank you so much for posting!

Hey CriminalMindsFan here, I can't believe you were that close to MGG's back and didn't just jump on him. If it would have been me he wouldn't have known what hit him.
He has curls!
I could pick MGG's back out of any crowd of people.
lol Lin, me too!
Ben
So, Jill, how many memory cards did you fill? *g*
more pictures please?
Okay, okay, chronological order's fine, as long as you keep 'em coming.
LoraLee
more! more! more! all these tidbits are awesome... keep them coming!
wow - you were so close to him! do you have any pics of his face???
Hmmmm. My comment doesn't want to show up. Sorry if it posts more than once.
Anyway, MGG's back is better than most people's front. Truly.
Jill pics are great
i have posted hope
you are very happy now
OK, all of this has brought me out of lurking/hiding. First of all, just want to say this is an awesome blog, and thanks for all the hard work! Criminal Minds is a great show. Secondly...SQUEEE on the visit to the set. Believe me, I would have tackled poor Matthew too. Hmm, longish post, but now I've gotten my feet wet, will definitely keep it up.
I'm bad, I keep coming back to this picture, and I have this terrible desire to sneak up and kiss him on the back of the neck, but damn, I'm five four I'd never reach.
LoraLee
Teh hair! Teh hair!
wow - is that really Reid? how amazing.
I was like...is that Matthews BACK. LOVE IT!
Lee :)
He looks just as good in the back as he does the front! :p
...over 200 people - WOW
...MGGs back - WOW *gg*
Love these details you transfer from your trip and think you have a great choice picking the right pictures.

*heh* I recognised him right away. Even if I am a Hotch fangirl...I do like Reid a lot, too.
He really does have lovely hair; I really hope they keep it longer, it looks much better on him. :D
lol slashgirl
yes, the hidden shallows within me do get a bit distracted by MGG's hair. I often find myself thinking, "Oh, that was a good scene. And didn't Reid's hair look nice?"
The Big Game was a particular high point for the hair I think. Although it looked like it was getting back former glories at the end of Jones.
(honestly, I do watch CM for the drama as well as the hair)

It's amazing to hear that it takes 200 people to produce an episode. We really have no idea what goes on behind the cameras. This is a great insight.
I remember listening to the comments made by the writers and producers about the first episode (on the S1 DVD) and one comment made was that it took half a day to film one scene. It really is a lot more complicated that we think it is.
Thanks for sharing this with us.
The only thing better than staring at his back is staring at his face.
200 people? Wow, although I can believe it. One thing that never ceases to amaze me is the amount of work that goes into watching the 40-some minute episodes we see each week. It's unbelievable really.
And yes, I did recognize MGG right away. Funny, I have trouble picking my own FRIENDS out in pics when they are turned away, but yet he stood out as clear as can be. :-D
sounds a bit like a beehive to me. that's a great picture, by the by.
