«Oldest ‹Older 1401 – 1445 of 1445I am so ANGRY! I love all of the characters on Criminal Minds. CBS is CRAZY if they think viewers are going to be "ok" with a replacement for AJ Cooks character of JJ. We DID NOT like the temporary replacment when she was on marternity leave, and we WILL NOT like a permanent one! I also love Paget Brewsters character of Emily Prentiss. I am so upset, that as much as I LOVE this show, I do not think I will be watching it after JJ's character leaves! Sorry!
Here we are 2 weeks later and still my rage hasn't settled if anything its getting worse. We as fans have been totally screwed by CBS - getting AJ back for 2 episodes and Paget for 17 then shes gone and what do we get in return 1 female to fill their shoes!!! As many people have pointed out if CBS wanted to cut the budget then why couldn't they hace reduced each characters screen time by a few episodes instead of cutting 2 completely. In the long run this is going to hit them harder financially when viewers statt to turn off and also boycott the spin off.
I have been a Die Hard fan of this show from the start but now I can't even bring myself to watch the re-runs, this whole situation sickens me that much. The show has been somewhat TAINTED by this whole mess and i'm sorry to say that I am one viewer who has already switched off. I'll get my info from the internet/you tube etc to see what happens to the characters but I won't be gracing CBS with my viewership.
So its time to say Goodbye Criminal Minds and thanks for 5 WONDERFUL years - I'm moving on now and looking forward to the new season shows on other channels.
Okay. I have an opinion. I think Nina Tassler is a sneaky person. You know why?????? Because she knows people will still watch criminal minds because they have for the past five years. We fans have to know how it ends but I will tell you one thing, the show will NOT BE THE SAME WITHOUT AJ/JJ and "limited episodes" with EMILY/PAGET. When I watch Criminal Minds i get the sense of family and togetherness. They all belong together because they care about each other. Nina Tassler should think about the team and not the money because without the WHOLE team there is no money. Nina should think about the cast and how they feel. I mean they have to be POed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have all been workig together for years and now part of their team/family is gone. That sucks!!!! You cant tell me that they cant get rid of some other people of some other show. I mean come on, are they still spending money on survivor. That show BLOWS!!!!! It is soooo fake. It is such a liebility if someone really got hurt on that show. Get rid of that show. That should save them money! And what about poor Garcia. She is going to be sooo lonely without her frinds. When Rossi showed up at her apartment, who did she turn to the next day?????? She went to JJ. I hope and pray that Nina will PLEASE reconcider her decision. It would be the best thing ever if the whole team/cast could stay together. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
P.S. You know I just watched Final Destination 2 the other day and realized that that was AJ Cook. Hahaha!!!! I have seen the movie like 3 times and just now realized that. I like her in Criminal Minds WAYYYYYYYY BETTER!!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHA Keep her on Criminal Minds!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :)
these 2 actress's are part of why the show works and has so many fans,if it really is down to money then for gods sake cut the spin off which is an unknown quantity and go with what you know makes the fans happy and makes the money anyway.
if Paget and AJ leave, im gone as well. no more money being spent on DVDs in this household
Here is an idea still not to late to do. Instead of cutting staff for "creative reasons" aka budget cuts. stop guest stars on the show. Its not like we really care about the serial killers on the show anyhow (no offense). Instead you should have competitions for fans of the show to star as the crazed serial killers. Lets face it this decision has caused many fans to become irrate perfect for playing a crazed criminal dont you think?
Lets face it i would not be asking for a fee if i actually got to play a part on the best tv show of all time.

Remember the Save Jericho campaign? The fans sent peanuts to ABC, and they were rewarded with another season.

I agree with the thoughts that all the Criminal Mind fans are having.
We will NOT be watching a spinoff.
PLEASE, CBS and writers realize that this show has thousands of fans. This means ratings, viewership and loyality to a show. All this means the station makes money.
This make me wonder whether CBS and the writers are trying to "Kill" Criminal Minds on purpose.
PLEASE don't disregard what the fans want. We want the J.J. and Emily characters to remain just as they are. The characters are necessary to making the whole team work the way it does.
I am shocked that the Prestiss character, apparently, won't be back. It is bad enough to have her role reduced and J.J. eliminated.
I believe it is NOT too late to change. The fans want the Criminal Minds cast to stay the way is. They are what make this show so special.
It doesn't make good sense to tamper with what works so well, so please don't.

AJ and Paget are integral to CM - I know that we will adapt much like we did with the departure of Mandy patinkin - but we shouldn't have to. To take out 1 of the most important cast members and to reduce the screen time of another... From what I can tell in order to create a spin off...
The show is so successful because of the amazing cast you have on it. The chemistry between paget and shemar, the bond that Matthew's character has with AJ's - you take these two ladies out and you suddenly lose something that made us all want to stick with the programme in the first place. It would be just as bad if you decided to axe Hotch or Garcia.

CBS, you guys are sexist pigs. For cutting almost all of your female cast. Emily Prentiss btw is your best character and strongest woman. She is the reason most of us are watching the show. Now since this is your last season, all the Criminal Minds fans I know, are going to stop watching it after Paget leaves. And I know a lot of people. Thanks for ruining my favorite show, screw you
I find it egregious that CBS could even consider cutting back on the roles of talented actresses of the caliber Paget and AJ represent, especially given the wide fanbase and the loyalty displayed by these fans to the show. In light of the impressive ratings and popularity CM has enjoyed so far, taking away the already limited roles played by Paget and AJ is risking the integrity of the show and its popularity. Given that CM is already toeing the line of an entirely male-centric show, the further limiting of female roles so deftly performed by Paget Brewster and AJ Cook would alienate the female faction of the show's following, which is half or more of the total fanbase. Not to mention, many younger fans like myself have little other use of watching CBS, and would not only boycott CM but the channel itself. To put it in simpler terms for the obviously extremely intellectually deprived members of CBS proposing the worst mistake they could possibly make: Paget and AJ are amazingly talented and give CM every aspect that makes it worth watching!!!!! Don't give up the best thing CM has!!!!!!!
This is absolutely ridiculous and I won't stand for CBS to cut the two characters of CM that make the show success it has come to be. In a male-dominated show, Paget especially adds the strong, female presence that inspires younger fans and attracts new ones continuously to the show. She's my favourite, and frankly I would have no reason to continue to watch if her role were even more reduced than it already is. If anything, CBS should cut one of the male actors and reduce the overpowering concentration on the male faction of the cast that repels female viewers, myself included. On average, Paget and AJ get less than 5 full minutes of face-time on CM, including when they are in the background. Paget and AJ are splendid actresses with tremendous talent and both deserve far better than that. I suggest CBS try to generate a brain cell or two and realize the colossal mistake they are about to make.
This sucks. I think that this show is great because of the group they have on there now. I don't think that it will be as good without these two characters and women on there. I know that when AJ was off because she just had a baby the show wasn't as enjoyable for me. I don't know about a spin off show, but for me why ruin a good thing that works for something that might not work at all. I think that the people at CBS are making a huge mistake here, and I hope that they change their minds. They have in the past, maybe they will again!

The BAU Ladies are the best! I can't believe that CBS would actually do this to great actresses on the show (everyone on the show is great!). They're removing two great Characters that no other can replace, it's like trying to replace Reid... it's impossible! They're all one of a kind. I've seen a lot of different shows in my 19 - 20 years and no show has gotten me hooked like this show has. I'm a tech geek (Garcia), I spend most of my time reading about reality and statistiques (Reid) and i'm a smart mouth that knows how to stand up for herself (JJ & Emily)... I still can't believe that CBS would prefer getting rid of a great actress and reduce another actress to part time just because of budget... try just getting a less expensive spin off... I mean Supernatural just had a 5-10 second flash of the tittle and no one cared about the spin off.. they cared about the stories through the season and serie. AJ Cook and Paget Brewster are important and it's not fair that the fans and other cast members should see them leave.

YOU'RE KIDDING ME RIGHT!!!???.... my bff was soo down about hearing this, now we have vowed not to watch another CM episode until CBS recognises their mistake and let AJ Cook and Paget Brewster remain on the show! I'm a lot like JJ and my friend is soo much like Prentiss it's not even funny, and that does include the fact that she speaks English, French, Spanish, some Russian but that's due to a friend who is teaching her how to speak the language, she can even read Hieroglyphics for petes sake! CBS is stupid for doing this, cancel the spin off and do something like.... what was the show with the two hotties...SUPERNATURAL, that's it! They were very popular and they didn't have a flashy spin off, just the tittle that said Supernatural, a quick lightning flash and the sound of Thunder and the show began and that was like.... not even 10 seconds long! GIve the viewers what they want because this show is a hit and from what i've read so far... you're going to lose a lot of them thanks to your mistake.

I have watched CM since season 1, including reruns almost every week. I am angry. I am not going to watch CM anymore, neither any CBS channel. What a shame.
I'm watching Criminal Minds right now, and imagining the show without A.J and Paget... I don't like it. :C You lost my love Criminal Minds
Okay, dude, for real, Paget and AJ are two of the best people on the team. Yeah, everyone is amazing, incredibly amazing, but taking two of them away is just messing up everything. People are going to stop watching the show if they leave, and maybe that's what they're trying to do, because Criminal Minds wasn't supposed to last this long anyway, but they can't get rid that show, cause it's amazing and people would be very very sad.
But they're going to lose fans and respect for getting rid of these two amazing actresses that everybody who watches the show has fallen in love with. Breaking up the family? The BAU? Are you fricking stupid? It's not the same without everyone there. Sure, Elle and Gideon got replaced, but taking away JJ and Prentiss is going waaaay too far. They're both amazing, everyone loves them, and the cast is pretty much a great big family, and getting rid of two of the actresses that help form that family is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard in my life.
I don't want this to happen. I don't want Paget and AJ to leave, they're such great, gorgeous, wonderful women, and doing this is going to make CBS get some hate mail on some real stuff.
But yeah, don't get rid of them, because they're both great and we all love them and would hate to see them go. Taking away two of the best people on the show is the worst thing you could ever do. Don't do it, CBS. Go Paget and AJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is outrageous, I simply cannot fathom what could possibly possess the CBS to make this huge sacrifice. okay money may be tight, but to let go of AJ and limit Paget's role is complete and utter idiocy. I mean to tear apart such strong bonds of the characters and I'm sure the actors is quite the let down. This show, these actresses, they are role models to females everywhere. I for one can relate, sympathize, emphathize with the strong female leads for they are actually portrayed as flawed human beings, who overcome great losses, face their fears, and solve their own problems. The dynamic of each indivdual character is so compelling, they are all so different, yet they band together as team and compensate for their teamates strengths and weaknesses. JJ is maternal figure, waht she adds to the show it can't be duplicated ot replaced, and don't even get me started on Paget's character. To believe they can carry on the show this way, is quite infuriating to people like me, the faithful viewers who look forward to tuning in every week to dissect the minds of criminals with our favourite team. I for one own every single season of criminal minds and can proudly say I am a Criminal Minds Fanatic, but after this my loyalty may not be quite as strong as I once thought. I believe this is very detrimental to the health of the show, and even if the viewing rate doesn't plumate right away, the quality of the show defiently has. It's very infuriating that all the good shows ruin what they have due to things such as no original plots, but that is not the case in this situation, for it's even more aggravating because the CBS is screwing with the dynamics of such a successful show with so much more potential. I am very disgusted with this poor choice made by the CBS, producers and whoever else had a hand in this decision making process. I can promise you that when AJ makes her grand exit, that me and hopefully other faithful fans make ours as well.

cutting out JJ's character and reducing Emilies will change the dynamics of the show. These ladies bring emotion and life to these episodes. Cutting them is a mistake. CBS, you will lose a lot of fans, guarantee.
My wife, 16-year old daughter and I are big fans. Say it's not true. We all love the beautiful JJ. This will prove to be a major mistake.
I am completely disappointed in CBS' decision to alter the Criminal Minds cast makeup. Not only are strong female characters needed on prime time television, but the loyal fan base of CM appreciates the dynamic achieved by the current cast. I hope this decision is seriously reconsidered. Although I've been watching since the pilot, I will no longer do so without the strong female characters who are so intelligent and necessary for this show.
I love CM, but by cutting Paget's screen time and taking out AJ, the only female character really left is Kristen.

I still can't beleive they ignored what all the fans had to say and cut AJ and making Paget less of a main character. Part of the reason why I love this show was women were taken seriously and were more than just a pretty face on the show.

I've heard a rumor that people are planning on boycotting CBS advertisers. The idea is if you tell the people that advertise on CBS that you won't buy their products as long as they help support CBS it could hurt CBS becuase it would loose advertisers.
This is absolutely pathetic that CBS would cut two fabulous actress and say it was because of financial problems and then hire another female cast member!! AJ is gone, and now Paget will barely get any screen time.
Who is going to be next on the list when you guys run into *money problems* huh? You were the best Drama television show! Make a damn compromised with their pay. If you can afford a spin off and another cast then you can afford those two ORIGINAL cast members. Bring them back or you will be losing more and more viewers.
I feel SO bad that they FIRED A.J! Then they minimize the episodes Paget are gonna be on! I have one suggestion for all of us: Don't watch the show unless they are in! A.J and Paget are like teamates for LIFE! I really feel bad about this. I want to find the owner of the show and try to fix this. They need to be back on the show without any trobles. I can't see how they could fire her.

This is show is amazing, the relationships between the actors and their chemistry together is what makes the show work. Even though we are watching horrifying murders and crimes it was JJ and Prentiss who both added that sense of humor and fun, without them the show will be to dark.
Please bring them back! I own all the seasons and having JJ not in the episodes makes me not want to keep watching.

What are you guys at CBS thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What in your right mind gave you the idea that you should do that to the cast!!!!! CBS doesn't think of anyone but THEMSELVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They're selfish and self centered. What happened to the cast? The rest of them? Don't you think of them? What about Thomas Gibson, Matthew Gray Gubler, Joe Mantegna, Shemar Moore, and Kirsten Vangsness? In the show they said that they are family! Just because you guys put that in the script doesn't meant that they can't feel that way for real! They are family. Blood relatives or not! Garcia once said, "I'm worried that everytime my babies leave, if all of my babies are going to come back to me." What happened to that? Does that mean anything to you? I may not know what its like to act, but I know when people mean things from the bottom of their heart or if they are just saying because its on a script. But for Kirsten, she meant it. I know she did. Her facial expression in that episode said it all. I have learned a thing or two from Criminal Minds. How to profile, how to tell when someone is lying. All things are essential, and the way Kirsten said it. It meant everything to her. Deep in her heart. Thomas is serious on air, thats his role, but hes not like that off screen. I've seen the bloopers and the cast means everything to him. Matthew, he loves them. He's a loving person. He cares for everyone there. Shemar, he does his job, but he loves everyone there. I say SAVE THE CRIMINAL MINDS LADIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It makes the show realistic. Let's keep it real. Not how CBS is making life. Making it as if AJ Cook and Paget Brewster dropped of the face of the Earth.
Criminal Minds is one of my favorite shows. It is such a good show that I got my sisters interested in watching it, and they have come to love it as much as I do. All of my sisters including me think that A. J. Cook should return to criminal minds, and we also think that Paget Brewster should stay on every episode of the show. My sisters and I have come to love each member on Criminal Minds because they are families, and they get along really well. We do not want to see the family separated. I do not want the show to be cancelled because this is the first time; I got my sisters interested in something that I love. The loyal fans out there, including myself and my sisters are pleading with CBS to keep the Criminal Minds family together. CBS should give us the fans of Criminal Minds the chance to voice our opinions because we know like and do not like. The Criminal Minds team belongs together, and they should rightfully stay together.
i think paget and cook leaving makes many of the show's viewers, including me, very upset. i think the show had a fantastic group of actors and actresses, but i think it is more than just that. the ratio in the law enforcement career is more men then women. i think seeing women on these TV shows helps inspire and educate women and men that women can actually do a job like this. many hold themsleves back believing that this career is impossible to them. i (a woman) am interested in the law enforcement career and had a chance to talk to a retiring federal agent about what he thought of the job. i asked if being a woman would be difficult in a job like this and he responded that i would really have to prove myself to show i was serious. so i think that pagent and cook leaving the show will influence many people that the law enforcement career is not for women, when in fact, it is for everyone.
Criminal Minds is my fave show but without AJ and Paget its not good anymore.

Okay, so no one even watches the new CM: Suspect Behavior, so remove that one and keep this criminal mind the SAME! PLEASE, this is my favorite show and I will stop watching it if you remove anyone! :( Please don't mess up a perfect show! It's so not fair to the cast or the fans!
