These are my comments from when the show first ran:
I enjoyed...um, that's the wrong word for such a disturbing show topic. I thought it was a good ep. Although...you'd think Gideon and Morgan just might've said, oh, "Hi Elle." Or, "Welcome back, Elle." But, then again, they are men. Perhaps they're single for a reason.
Reid in the geek glasses...we'll see more of those. And I'm sorry, but Elle looks like she's wearing a wig. "I found myself looking forward to watching a soap opera" Reid: "Which one?" *lol* I can understand Elle changing her hair; people often want to change the things they can control when everything else is out of control.
And when they arrested the principal, they seemed surprised the media found out. HELL-OOOOOO. You grabbed the man in broad daylight on the campus. You don't think SOMEONE just might call the news??? A little more discretion, folks. Love Reid's ability to play with symbols in his head, figuring out savethem was mehtevas.
Garcia rocked with finding the not-boy scout group and recognising the uniform. Four brothers, she has my sympathies. But now we know why she's so kickass...and I'm sure that any man she brings home would get the third degree from those boys.
I liked Katie and I really wish she was the one they were bringing in. I'd rather someone experienced and older. Morgan: "I've always wanted to meet her." "I hear she's a bitch". I thought they overdid it a little with the turbelence...we got it the second time, people.
And we had a kevlar and guns scene. I like Hotch weilding his gun and wearing kevlar...it's hot. Yeah, I'm a freak, sue me. Hotch was delightfully Hotchly in this ep. I adore him. (Okay, like that's not obvious.)
JJ actually had a good idea with lying about where they were looking for the child, since Garcia had narrowed it down to the place the kid actually was.
This is a great episode, very emotional. All the characters do a good job. I'm a little disappointed in Morgan, it seemed like they were just using him for brawn, he does have a brain. He even had to be dismissed by Gideon at one point. JJ is very good at her job, this is true. Reid looked more delightful than usual in this episode, except that his pants didn't fit right. But his hair looked really good and almost a different color. Too bad about Greeneway's hair though. Glad they found the boy at the end and the scene with the mother made me cry. Her name was Jackie, the soldier was Jack..too much.

I did love this episode. My heart broke for the little boy being auctioned off.
I loved Katie and thought that she would be great as Elle's replacement when this first aired. She would have been good, but Paget is doing a great job, so it is just as well.
Now that we have seen the whole season (Profiler, Profiled to be specific), I can see why Morgan nearly went over the edge when they arrested Mehtevas. Mehtevas is a child molestor and Morgan was molested as a child. He isn't going to be gentle with someone like that.
This was our first sighting of Reid in his nerd glasses, and Elle's horrible haircut. Ah the discussions to come on both of them!
I still found myself shaking my head when Mehtevas asked for a deal! I loved it when Gideon said "No deals. What you have right now is a very small amount of good will." So there pedophile!
In the end, Garcia was able to identify where the little boy was located because of his Tadpole (cub scout) uniform. Garcia rocks as usual.
Lori you are right about Morgan and the child molester, to be honest I concentrate at about 98.9% on Reid so a lot gets past me with the other characters. Good call!!!

I loved the episode a lot. Of course. And I tend to focus on the epsiode as a whole, and not based what the characters looked like.
But I digress.
And after watching this ep, I now understand why Morgan went postal with the child molester. Poor Morgan =(
I thought the episode was good, and Garcia rocked, of course.
This episode shined a light on some dark secrets of the internet.
The guest actors were well chosen. The characters in this episode were very believable. Pedophiles live in every community and fit in. The people that try to catch them are very focused, sometimes to the exclusion of all else. The actors were spot on with their portrayals.
Our team was not as mentally involved in this case as they could have been. They did a lot of physical activity but not much profiling. Granted the focus was on the child investigators in this episode, but typical detectives probably could have done the investigation.
I agree with slashgirl about how the principal was picked up in front of the school. Once the media is involved, the child’s privacy is at risk. Though it might be personally gratifying to the cops to make a show of it, it is in bad form and might compromise the case. Child cases are investigated quietly to protect the child. Using the teen boy as bait is a stretch also.
I thought the episode was powerful and gripping. Anytime you are dealing with an episode centered around a child it can be hard to watch but I thought it was tastefully executed. I also really like Reid's hair in this one not that that means anything but I did not notice it the first time around.
I thought Mary Page Keller was amazing as Katie. I liked the beginning interaction between her, Hotch and Gideon. I liked how it showed they all had history. It was also nice to see that the team had to learn from her about these types of crimes. It would not be realistic to think they know everything. I liked this one. Very well written and I thought the actors all out did themselves.
I wanted to reach into my tv set and grab the principal but the neck and choke him to death. That is okay right? I had never seen this episode before and I really liked it. I did not like Elle's hair or the fact that nobody really seemed to pickup on the fact that her whole demeanor was off. I just finished watching the season one dvds so I really noticed the difference.
I don't know how they could have picked a better quote for this episode. It was perfect. I liked the episode.
We now know Matthew wore his glasses because of his allergies but it is really very telling that until it was explained to us it was the talk of the net. Gube in glasses.
I have always liked this episode. Hard subject matter but nicely written. I like the edgeness in this one.
Like others have said, I really liked Katie and was hopeful that we might see more of her. Maybe another guest spot in the future?
This episode is memorable for 2 reasons - the first one being hairstyle crisis being undergone by Reid and Elle. Reid looked like he was auditioning for Happy Days and Elle just looked . . .
The less shallow reason for remembering this episode is the ending - beautifully understated and very moving. The child and his mother have a long way to go and it was much more realistic to end it like that.
It was a very good episode. I agree that "Katie" was a great character and I hope we see her again. She was a good fit with our team.
Looking back on it now Elle's hair and behavior in this episode should have tipped the team off to the fact that she was sinking really fast.
Great episode.
It was great how Garcia was able to figure out the clue they needed to find the poor boy. I enjoyed the episode.
I agree with everyone else, that this was another really good episode. As a parent I thought I was pretty well informed on the subject of how I can try to protect my children from perverts, but this episode brought up some ways these perverts use the internet that I was totally unaware of. The subject matter was very uncomfortable to watch, but I like it when shows like this take the time to not only entertain, but inform the public as well.
The main thing I think of whenever I watch this episode, is that I too would have liked to have seen the character of Katie join the team, as I *really* liked her. I'm starting to warm up to the character of Emily, but Katie had more experience and would have been more of an equal to Hotch and Gideon and frankly I just liked her personality. Her fear of flying would have been a problem however. LOL!
I didn't like Reid's glasses much, but it's the bad fitting sweaters that get to me. LOL! And I still have never forgiven the show for what they did to Elle's hair. That was just plain awful!
The first few times I watched the episode I didn't really connect Morgan's past with his reaction to the Principal. However, once I had a better grasp on who these characters were and what makes them tick, it made perfect sense.
I also liked this episode because we learn more about Garcia.
For those of you that missed Mandy's interview on internet safety, it's still available for viewing at wcbstv.com/video. Just do a search for Mandy Patinkin in the video search box and it will bring it up.
Wonderfully well acted and written episode. I agree that episodes involving children are always the hardest to watch but there was much more going on in this episode. Watching the team have to take a back seat to those who knew more than them was a new situation and Elle was a train wreck waiting to happen.
I agree about the quote. It was perfect for this episode. The sick things done to children around the world on a daily basis is sickening.
Great episode.
I think everyone has covered my thoughts about the episode already. I really liked this episode. I loved Katie and I hope that we will see her again. Great guest star.
My first time watching it and I was terrified that the boy was dead. What a terrible story. Not the episode. I loved the episode but to think these things happen makes me ill.
I liked this episode although it is definitely one of the most disturbing ones because of the subject matter. I keep thinking about how many childeren are being victimized in the same manner that Peter/Charlie/Dustin is in the episode. When Gideon says "Sometimes it seems there's no punishment enough" I had to say "Amen to that, my friend!"
Very good episode.
I did not know who Paget Brewster was when they were finding the replacement for Elle and I thought Katie was our new person. She was awesome. Love Paget now but it would be great if they had a place for Mary Page Keller.
Wonderful episode. Loved it even more the second time around. I think the quote was perfect. I did not care for the song though.
I was thrilled to get to see this episode. I don't know what happened that I missed it the first time around. I never miss the show. It was a great episode.
I taped it and watched it last night. Awesome episode. They really should have seen that Elle was melting down but maybe when you are so close to someone you are the last to see it.
Very good episode A-.
I noticed that nobody really acknowledged Elle's return also slash. Good episode. Hated her hair.
I will always remember that episode. Elle and Reid with their bad hair. Reid wearing glasses that kept fans talking for weeks. Great story.
Great episode.
This was tv at its best. A perfect balance and wonderful acting. One of my most favorite episodes.
