CRIMINAL MINDS: KIRSTEN TALKED TO E! ONLINE
Criminal Minds: Kirsten Vangsness, Penelope Garcia on Criminal Minds, recently spoke to E! Online.
Diane in Queens, N.Y.: The lack of Criminal Minds spoilers is killing me!
Lucky for you, then, that we just caught up with Kirsten Vangsness, and she told us the two finale episodes of Criminal Minds this season are "companion pieces" and that we should expect a year-end cliff-hanger, and that "I finally got to have some scenes with my real boyfriend on the show [Nicholas Brendon] and my real fake boyfriend, Shemar Moore, on the show. It's been a while since we got to aggressively flirt, so that's been good. And we have a callback [to past storylines]—we have some unsubs [returning] that you've seen before."

CRIMINAL MINDS: MGG ATTENDED THE 2009 SPECIAL OLYMPICS
CRIMINAL MINDS: A. J. COOK KEEPS FIT.
Criminal Minds actress A.J. Cook is writing about her weight loss program on Health.com.
Criminal Minds actress AJ Cook is trying to shed her baby weight. Check back here each month to see how she’s putting Health’s Feel Great Weight plan to work.
Her story: “I gained 40 pounds during a difficult pregnancy on national TV! That was tough—it’s hard to see your body change and have no control over it. But now I want people to see that I have to work just as hard as anyone else to take it off. And I really feel strongly that it’s important to do it the healthy way.
Now that I’m back on the show, I have crazy hours, which makes things tricky. (That, and staying away from baked goods—I love a good vanilla or red velvet cupcake!)
But my goal is to get back to a toned and healthy body, even if I don’t get all the way back to my prepregnancy weight. And, honestly, I’m OK with that now because when I come home after a long day and see Mekhai smile at me it’s all worth it!”

CRIMINAL MINDS: ALEX O'LOUGHLIN BLOGS ABOUT CM & HIS NEW CBS PROJECT
Sonja Flemming/CBS ©2009 CBS BROADCASTING INC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
Criminal Minds: Alex O’Loughlin will be appearing in Criminal Minds episode "The Big Wheel" on April 29th. Alex updated his Myspace page with some info on his appearance on Criminal Minds and his new CBS pilot.
Hi everybody.
So I know you have all been anxious to know exactly what I’m up to, and I’m sorry it’s taken me a minute to get back to you but things are now clear.
As some of you know I did a little guest role on Criminal Minds which was a lot of fun. I got to work with some great friends and terrific people and I had a really good experience. The episode is called The Big Wheel. I hope you enjoy it.
I am currently in Pittsburgh filming a new pilot for CBS called Three Rivers. It is about as different from Moonlight as anything could possibly be (laughing right now) but that being said I sure hope all you “die hard” vampire fans come with me on this journey!
Three Rivers is a wonderful story about donors, recipients and surgeons in the world of transplant surgery and of how all these people’s lives are affected on a daily basis by the miracles and devastations involved in surgery today.
As I’m sure you can appreciate I have been totally consumed with my research and preparation for this role, and along the way I have discovered a secret passion within myself for cardio thoracic surgery! Who knew?!! It is very interesting, very important and I believe this story we are about to embark on will be something you will very much enjoy being a part of.
I hope you are all healthy and well and until we speak again…wish me luck!!
All my love,
Alex O’Loughlin

CRIMINAL MINDS: KIRSTEN SHOWS TV GUIDE HER PENS
CRIMINAL MINDS: WE DON'T DEAL WITH RUMORS ON THIS SITE
Criminal Minds: In the past few days there have been some not very flattering articles (I am almost loathe to even call them articles) circulating the web concerning aspects of Criminal Minds. I won't be posting them here. I would encourage all of you to remember that rumors, negative press, etc. are a waste of conversation. Ed Bernero has always put us first and if these "reported" problems on the set were true he would make sure that we knew them first. He's always put us fans first in the past and I am sure that we can count on that continuing in the future. So delete those negative google alerts you're getting or print them out and place them on the bottom of your bird's cage. And remember this definition:
Rumor: 'A piece of information of questionable accuracy, from no known reliable source.'

CRIMINAL MINDS: ANDREW WILDER & JIM CLEMENTE
Criminal Minds: Andrew Wilder, writer-producer of CBS-TV’s “Criminal Minds” (starring, above L-R, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler, Joe Mantegna and Thomas Gibson) will be among the featured speakers at a Connell School of Nursing symposium on “Forensics in the Media” March 25 in Robsham Theater. (Photo by Vivian Zink/ABC Studios)
Forensic examination: CSON symposium 'Forensics in the Media'
Set to be held on March 25, producers from top televison shows will attend
Students, forensic practitioners and fans of criminal procedural shows will get a revealing behind-the-scenes look at the making of some of television’s most popular forensic-focused programs when Kelly Ann Martin, senior producer of truTV’s “Forensic Files” and Andrew Wilder, writer/producer of CBS’s “Criminal Minds,” join veteran FBI Agent James T. Clemente in presenting “Fact vs. Fiction: The Inside View on Forensics in the Media” on March 25 at 4 p.m. in Robsham Theater.
“These professionals will talk about how they make their shows dramatically interesting while maintaining accuracy,” said Prof. Ann Wolbert Burgess (CSON), who co-organized the event with Director of Biology Laboratories Michael Piatelli. “They will explain how a show is put together and how actual cases are the basis for their storylines and characters.”
“Criminal Minds” is a realistic but fictional depiction of the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, which profiles criminals to solve crimes. Clemente works for the real BAU and consults and writes for the show. “Criminal Minds” received a Human Rights First’s Award for Excellence in Television, honoring the show’s realistic portrayal of interrogation. The award-winning episode, written by Clemente, demonstrated how sophisticated use of non-violent interrogation techniques are more likely to yield credible information than abusive ones.
According to Clemente, “Criminal Minds” and the FBI have developed a successful model of cooperation between Hollywood and law enforcement.
“Forensic Files” offers true-crime scenarios solved via forensic science techniques employed by pathologists, medical examiners, law enforcement and other professionals.
“These shows have a chance to deliver real information to viewers about things that can keep them and their children safe,” added Burgess.
Clemente plans to talk about the negative effect some crime procedurals can have on juries, leading to failed prosecutions.
Piatelli agreed: “I think the biggest misconception about forensics in the media is how definitive the results of forensic tests are made to appear. Rarely in science is experimental evidence so compelling conclusive, but the media and TV shows portray forensic evidence as so complete and fail to bring out the true complex and ambiguous nature of forensic and scientific evidence.”
