CRIMINAL MINDS: SEASON THREE

I know this isn't the point of the post, but this is the episode that Spencer makes me drool. He looks SO hot in the pictures you show us. OMG.

Can't wait for CM to start!!!

Lee :)

LOL,Lee, Let the drooling begin!!!
I'll bring extra Kleenex or a mop!
This will be an exciting season for all those reasons Jill mentioned and more.

The promo Jill posted showed J.J. being spit on. I hope she nailed the spitter into a wall. I'm really excited about the new season.

Anonymous said...

I'm pumped for the 26th to get here.

I hope they tie up all the loose ends as quickly as possible so we can go back to just watching the show instead of all the drama and freakin interviews all of them are giving now which frankly are annoying. The new guy sounds like a jerk talking about going to school in the article you posted. A real jerk.

Anonymous said...

Okay I think I'm not going to comment on the comment before mine since I have not read the article yet but wow.

I really hope that Prentiss doesn't turn on Hotch. That is going to be an interesting story. I am wondering if we will see the Reid and drugs story anymore. I am just glad that the long wait for the new season is almost over.

Anonymous said...

I read the article and it wasn't that bad. Maybe he was trying to use Kirsten's line and make it sound like he is one of the group now. I am not even a Mandy fan but I gotta admit Mategna probably should have kept her out of it. It is really time for all this to be over. I am amazed that so many newspapers and online mags are dragging it up again. I think they are waiting for the show to fail but the surprise will be on them because it is going to be a really great season.

As long as Kirsten, Matthew, Thomas, Shemar, A.J. and Paget show up on my screen on the 26th then I will will be a happy person.

Anonymous said...

We get season three and then a week later we get season two on dvd. The reporters can write themselves into a hole of mud for all I care.

Anonymous said...

We've waited a long time and waded through a mass of crap waiting for the new season and I'm sure it is going to be worth it. I think we are going to be really happy with the newest season. I don't think Prentiss is going to stick it to Hotchner. Please no more Reid and drugs.

Anonymous said...

Our last Mandy episode. I hate that but hopefully it will be a great one and will send him out in style. Whatever he did or did not do he still contributed for our first two seasons and that is huge as far as I am concerned.

I am counting the days until the new season starts along with the rest of you.

PS: No wonder you closed the article link to comments. It sucked. He got himself on my bad side and all he was saying was that he wasn't going to comment. He should have said that and left it at that. The sound bite was bitter. Don't play off of Kirsten's lines. That is unprofessional and he is has not earned our respect like she has. At least not yet.

Season 3 is going to be great.

Anonymous said...

I'm ready. Is it the 26th yet?

Anonymous said...

1. No way Prentiss turns on Hotch!
2. Love not drugs for Reid.
3. Thanks Mandy...bye Gideon!
4. Welcome Joe.....I guess!
5. More Garcia..I am hoping.
6. More Morgan...I am hoping.

Yeah for season three.

"Doubt" sounds like a really good episode and the promo was wonderful. Reruns are getting really old. You know it is time for a new season when you know the words to every episode in season two better than the writers who wrote them.

Anonymous said...

There are a bunch of open stories going on but I doubt we will see the drugs come up anytime soon. Too much other stuff happening on the show with Hotch and also Rossi.

Anonymous said...

can,t waite tell the 26th. for the new season to start. the promo looks really good.

Sigrid said...

I'm starting to wonder when we'll ever see Haley again. She hasn't been on-screen since The Big Game, I think, and hasn't even been mentioned since Ashes and Dust..

Anonymous said...

I can't wait. I have absolute confidence in Ed and his crew, and I think S-3 will rock.

Anonymous said...

thank heaven for net downloads :-)

Can't wait for S3. New storylines, tying up old storylines, more Reid...

Roll on Sept 27th (when I can download the season opener!)

Anonymous said...

Ya know, I read the article, and I liked it. He didn't come off as a jerk to me.

Anonymous said...

Thank heavens for d/l. It is exciting to know that season three starts soon.

Anonymous said...

I didn't realize how many open storylines there are until someone posted them in a comment the other day.

Prentiss will do the right thing. Gideon will go and Rossi will be okay. I pray that we have seen the very last of the nasty storyline of Reid taking drugs. I wasn't a fan of that one. Reid is too sweet and innocent to have a monkey on his back.

Anonymous said...

It is going to be so great to have the new season start. I don't ever remember repeat season as being this long.

Anonymous said...

I wonder what the credit order for the new season will be. I know Joe Mantegna is an established actor and I have a feeling he is going to jump over the other stars in the credits.

I also wonder if we will still have quotes in each episode.

Anonymous said...

I hadn't thought about that before Belle. That is no big deal. Paget jumped infront of half of them when she joined the show. I don't think actors really care about that kind of stuff.

I bet they don't change the way they do quotes and music. It is such a big part of the way they deliver an episode to us. Why would they fix something that isn't broken.

I think we are going to have one of the best written seasons of CM ever. I think the writers have been forced into really watching the details because of all the changes and I think it is going to be great.

I don't think we have seen the last of Reid and drugs and I would like to see the resolution of it so I hope it comes back.

I don't think Emily Prentiss will hurt Hotchner. I think she is too much of a team player for that. I think it is going to be very interesting to watch what she does do.

Anonymous said...

If they credit on a cuteness scale then MGG goes first! lol.

Anonymous said...

The entire press core is focused on the change of stars on the show and there is nothing that will stop that. I thought the article was okay but even though I did not find offense with the back to school comment I can see where others would. We just need to ride the first few episodes out and the Mandy press will go away and the Joe press will start. The new season has exciting possibilities.

Anonymous said...

It is going to be awesome. I really can't wait. I know they have been working really hard and I want to see what they came up with.

Anonymous said...

Best wishes to the show in season three for which I am most excited.

Anonymous said...

I want to see "Doubt" because it looks like a J.J. episode and she is my very favorite on the show.

Anonymous said...

I'm enjoying rewatching season two because I had missed a few of the episodes but I'm really excited about season three.

Anonymous said...

I'll be counting the hours down on September 26th. I'm very excited to see what happens with Hotchner and Prentiss. I think she will tell him and they will work together to bring down his supervisor. Prentiss may feel like she owes the woman the job itself but I think she knows she owes Hotchner for giving her a chance.

Anonymous said...

This will be my first full season. I only started watching in the middle of S-2. I'm really excited about it and there are a few new shows I am looking forward to seeing. It has been a long summer of reruns. I agree with whoever said that.

Anonymous said...

22 days seems to far away! I cant wait!

Anonymous said...

Now it is just 21 days! That is still a long time but we can watch three more repeats. One of them will be the cliff hanger from last season and it was awesome. I am pumped up and excited.

Anonymous said...

I figure it will take the first seven episodes until we can take a deep breath and rock along with the season.

1. Setup to Gideon leaving
2. Gideon leaves
3. Our first Gideonless episode
4. The get ready for new guy
5 or 6. Rossi
7. Figuring out if we like Rossi

We also have the Prentiss will she or won't she to watch.

All said and done, it is going to be an interesting ride. Looking forward to it.

I am looking forwad to seeing this and the other ones that mandy is in and to see how they handle gideon leaving and rossi arriving

The blog doesn't celebrate it's anniversary for a few weeks but thanks for the sentiment.

I hope everyone will really give the new character a real chance to shine. I like what they have already told us about him. I will miss Gideon as much as the next person but it is time to move on.

I am shocked that anyone had a complaint about the New York Times article. I didn't find anything offensive in it at all and I am usually the critical one when it comes to the press.

Prentiss is a complex character and she may just throw us a curve for a few episodes but in the end I think she'll do the right thing.

Reid & Drugs: I think it was a disturbing storyline but I think it would be great to see it brought back up and properly finished.

I am definately looking forward to the new season. We have the greatest writing staff in the business working very hard for us and they never disappoint. :)

Anonymous said...

Congrats on that and I really agree that we need to be open minded with Mantegna. He isn't the reason that Mandy is gone and I would really hope people don't take it out on him.

Criminal Minds rules and we are going to have the #1 show this season.

Anonymous said...

I thought the article was okay. If it offended anyone then they are in for a rude awakening when the season starts and MA starts up on tvguide.com again. Lord help us then.

The new season is very promising. We have so much to be looking forward to and we are ready for it in our house. Come on S-3!

Anonymous said...

Cheers to Season 3!

Anonymous said...

There has to be an ending once and for all to the drugs story. We are not even sure there was a drug problem. It could be a good story but it needs to be defined and worked on so we know what really happened and how it ends. MGG would be so wonderful bringing it to a conclusion.

Prentiss will do the right thing. She is wordly and not stupid.

Anonymous said...

New Spencer Reid episodes! Bring'em on!

Anonymous said...

I am ready for the new season. I have rewatched season 2 on TIVO and season 1 on my DVDs too many times. I love Mandy, but have no doubts about staying with the show. The new actor will be fine and maybe stir up Hotch and Reid a little so we get the sidebar kind of comments from them.

I hope the writers continue with Hotch being targeted by the Asst Director of whatever she is, and that Prentiss comes through loyal to Hotch. That is an intersting character story line.

I doubt we will get any more Reid/druggie stuff, but it would be cool if they made an attempt to show him trying to get a life, or a date even.

Lociloco

Anonymous said...

Lociloco,

I vote for Reid getting a life too. LOL. The boy man deserves one. He had a very hard time in season two. I do think we will see the drug story again. It had potential for being very interesting.

Anonymous said...

They all need to get a life. Hotch never sees his family and Morgan's dog must miss him. The only person we know who actually interacts with outside people is Garcia and so far that hasn't worked out to well for her (FK1) and Prentiss who is being blackmailed. It would be nice to see anyone of the characters actually sit on a couch and talk to someone other than a BAU agent. Here's hoping that s-3 is as great as we want it to be!!!!

Anonymous said...

The new season is a new beginning for the show and I think it could turn out to be to our advantage. New blood can be a good thing.

Anonymous said...

As long as our 6 originals are still front and center I will be happy.

Anonymous said...

I don't think we will see any differences in the format of the show. All we are really doing is plucking one out and slapping one in. That is okay with me. Great show. Love it.

Anonymous said...

I think Prentiss is going to have a heck of a time figuring out what to do. She might feel that Hotchner is not powerful enough anymore to help her or himself. Who else can she go to for help and advice? Maybe her mum. Maybe Morgan. I think she will want to do the right thing but she may not know what that is. It is going to be fun watching her figure it out.

Anonymous said...

Annoyed with the press now. Wow. You guys need to remember all the bad press the show has had since day one. Since before it even aired it was called a dog. I think his choice of words could maybe have been better but who knows what he said versus what was printed. I think he sounds like a nice guy and he has the resume so we will just have to wait and see if he can help deliver the ratings. It is all about the ratings! If the show drops even a hair in the ratings the headlines are going to be horrible. I can visualize them now. "Patinkin's leaving kills show". We need to make sure everyone we know is watching the show and then pray that some of them are Nielsen families. Pray hard.

Anonymous said...

The ratings can take care of themselves as far as I am concerned because all I care about is seeing some new episodes. Summer sucks.

Anonymous said...

I have confidence too Lin. I think the new season is going to be great. People come and go off of shows every year and they are usually the better because of it. I think we have some great stories and adventures coming our way thanks to Ed and his group.

Anonymous said...

I have been reminding everyone I know that the new season of CM is coming soon. I hope to get a couple of hold outs interesting in the show this season. I know they will love it as much as I do.

Hey, one year. Very cool.

Anonymous said...

Looking forward to S-3.

Anonymous said...

Season 3 is going to be wonderful. We are going to have our cast and crew back and our spectacular writers. I just know it is going to be really wonderful.

I would like to see Prentiss go straight to Hotch and have them work together to bring the Director down to her knees. Mess with our Hotch. No siree!

Anonymous said...

Joe M. sounds like a good guy. I agree that we need to wait and see what he looks like with the group. The media can't judge that for us. I think it is going to be okay. It has been a long time since the last new episode and Doubt has a lot riding on it which is really not that fair. They probably had to edit the crap out of it to get the Mandy is leaving stuff in. I don't think we are going to judge the season fairly until Rossi has been in a few episodes.

Elizabeth said...

I read the article and liked it - can't understand why people took offence at it . . .

Anyways, I'm looking forward to Season 3 and to some loose ends being tied up and others unravelled even more. I guess I'm in a minority, but Reid having an addiction doesn't upset me - it is a very normal response to trauma and hardly diminishes his character. It would be nice to know one way or another though - there have been enough crafty hints.

Anonymous said...

Elizabeth, It didn't bother me either but I think it was his school remark since it had been used by Kirsten and is now somewhat associated with Mandy leaving. At least that is what is being said in another group. Not really sure. I thought it was an upbeat article. I liked it.

The new character of Rossi sounds great. I like that he is going to be less emotional than Gideon. Gideon was a basket case all the time. He dripped with sorrow. Too depressing. Rossi sounds like he is mentally balanced and professional. That was lacking with Gideon.

Prentiss has quite the problem on her hands and I am anxious to see what the writers have instore for her.

Anonymous said...

I'm very excited that the new season is almost here but I will miss Gideon. He was a complex character and it was always interesting to see what he would do or say. Rossi also sounds like an intriguing character. If the actor is liked by our cast and crew then they will be able to work out any kinks that he may have. I am looking forward to watching his first episode.

I think the new season with Mr. Mantegna is going to get lots of press and it is of no interest to me. I stopped reading the rags when they announced during the beginning of season one that the show was a loser and would never see a second season. The ratings have never been bad for the show. The show is quality and quality almost always finds an audience. I know that I will be watching every episode.

Anonymous said...

I thought the Times article was well done and thought Mr. Mategna came across professional. He chose to limit his comments and say nothing negative. It's hard to criticize that. I think the show will continue to shine and I believe all the unresolved story lines will be addressed in one way or the other, including Reid's drug or PTSD. Mr. Bernero himself said that "no story line is ever officially closed" and drugs, PTSD is not resolved overnight. I think fans have a lot to look forward to and the show will not disappoint.
Donna

Anonymous said...

Mr. Mategna is alright on paper. He was good as the dad on "Joan of Arcadia". We'll see how he does as Rossi. I will miss Mandy and Gideon and I am sorry if that isn't a popular feeling but it is how I feel.

It doesn't mean that I am not excited about the new season. It just means that I want to reserve judgement until I actually get to see it.

I like Paget from the beginning and have really enjoyed Prentiss. I was thrilled when I found out she was joining the CM cast but I don't have that feeling YET with Mr. Mategna.

Anonymous said...

I can't wait for the start of the season. Awesomeness awaits us.

Anonymous said...

I'm looking forward to the new season but I think it is lame that he writes a note and then just leaves. No closure or anything. Maybe they are leaving the door open for him to come back if this new actor doesn't work out.

Anonymous said...

I don't care how they write him out. I'm looking forward to the new season.

Anonymous said...

We'll have to wait and see what the show is like now. I look forward to having that chance.

Anonymous said...

I'm not looking as forward to this season starting as I was when season two was getting ready to start. FK cliffhanger was more exciting and I'm uncomfortable about all the cast changes. No flaming me but that is the way I feel.

Elizabeth Bear said...

I'm very much looking forward to the new season, and starting to get quite excited. I've spent most of the summer forcing episodes upon my friends, and succeeded in converting a few. ;-)

I think Reid's trauma--whether he's coping with it through substance abuse or some other way--is being handled realistically and well, and I for one really salute the crew in having the courage to take a character who does seem innocent and naive and show us, first all, that terrible things happen to nice people--and second all, that coping mechanisms are not pretty and not always healthy.

I am looking forward to seeing what becomes of Gideon, and wondering if there's not a bit of a clue in the NY Times article. Anybody else remember how Henry Blake was written out of MASH? ;-) My profiler senses are tingling. (I could be wrong, of course.)

I am looking forward to the introduction of the new character, which looks like it will be in 3x07. That seems like a decent mourning period.

I like Prentiss, and I believe she will eventually find a solution that will allow her to keep her honor intact, even if she suffers for it professionally.

Me, I'm hoping for more Hotch backstory this season, possibly the answer to the question of whether he was abused, and if so by whom--and more JJ backstory. I want to know about her aunt, and what happened to her parents. Those are both plotlines that have been hinted at for longer than Reid's and Prentiss's backstory. (Although finding out what Prentiss' trauma is, and if it has anything to do with her mom, her time overseas, and those haunting words--"I think you don't choose who you love"--would also make me a happy person.)
