Criminal Minds - Riding the Lightning

This is one of my favorite Criminal Minds episodes. I still cry when I watch this last scene. Thanks to chagi07 for posting it. Major Kudos to Mandy Patinkin (Jason Gideon), Thomas Gibson (Aaron Hotchner), Shemar Moore (Derek Morgan), Kirsten Vangsness (Penelope Garcia), Lola Glaudini (Elle Greenaway), Matthew Gubler (Dr. Spencer Reid) and A.J. Cook (JJ) for sterling performances in this episode. :)

I loved this episode. Look at how professional and intense Shemar is in this part of the episode that you posted. He is wonderful.

I have a problem with whether he did the right and ethical thing at the end.

I think the writers took tremendous liberties in the this episode. The acting was compelling but it was hard for me to get past the liberties and embrass the episode.

I am ready for a new episode. I love the repeats but we had such a long stretch of new episodes that I felt like we were really on a roll. Season two has been awesome. Even better than season one and I never thought that would be possible.

I felt like I was "struck by lightening" when I saw this very powerful episode. I keep rewatching it. Mind-provoking

I completely agree about "Riding the Lightning". It is by far the most brilliant episode of the series thus far. I just finished watching it (what a way to spend a day at home sick) and I was struck by the beauty of both Mr. Patinkin's and Ms. Arnette's performaces. This is not an episode one merely watches. It is one you experience in a very personal way. Anyone who says Criminal Minds is merely schlock should watch this episode. It is pure perfection.

this episode reminded me a lot of the movie "The Life Of David Gale". it was definitely a powerful episode and just further solidified my stance on capital punishment.
