Dr. Spencer Reid's Birthday
It would seem that Dr. Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) has a thing for J.J. (A.J. Cook) on Criminal Minds. I wonder if the writers will follow that storyline or not. Thanks to somethingtobe2 for posting this for all of us to enjoy.

And he beat Gideon at chess which made it a very special birthday. I think if the storyline is handled properly it could be very interesting but I wonder if there are rules regarding members of the BAU dating.
Wasn't Reid called on that the next ep (by Morgan, I think), and he said that there was not a rule against it? Personally, i don't think it would be a good idea, at least overtly, b/c it might interfere w. the working of the team.
Oh, BTW, I'd be up for chat tonight if others are.
As a Reid fan I'd hate it. The fact Reid is single makes him more attractive to me, but that's just me.....
I think it could go either way. I think the awkwardsness of him asking her out could take a few episodes and then they could just drop small parts here and there or it would be a bad idea. I trust the writers will make the correct decision but I do wonder. :)
What episode was this?
I would have loved to see those two hit it off! Unfortunetly, realationships don't seem to work in crime shows, from what I've experienced, so maybe it's better that they don't follow it up.

I think they are just good friends and it is fine this way. I couldn't imagine a serious relationship between any of the characters on CM.

I thought that Gideon's gift to Spencer was so adorable. I'm not so certain about the whole pairing, though. I think those two are really just better off as friends and teammates. I would like to see Reid get a little love eventually, though.
