CRIMINAL MINDS: ASK AUSIELLO SNIPPET.

Question: I hear you're the man to go to if you want scoop on your favorite TV shows, so please give me something on Criminal Minds. — Ashley
Ausiello: I am indeed that man. Minds has signed David Carradine and Amy Madigan to guest-star in a February-sweeps episode. "David is playing the most prolific serial killer ever, and Amy is his love interest," says exec producer Ed Bernero. "[Her character] is the reason we get involved in the case." While I had Bernero on the phone, I asked him why Minds has thus far resisted the temptation to throw its characters in bed together. "I was a cop in Chicago, and you have interests outside of the job. These are the people they work with; they're not necessarily going to screw them all. They have [other lives]. I just don’t see it happening. We have some flirtations. We have a flirtation between Shemar's character and the Garcia character. Certainly the women on this show can tell that Shemar is a handsome guy, but I don't see anybody jumping into bed together."

Hello. I am from Brazil and I was visiting the blog. Like him it doesn't possess a translator for other languages, I tried to copy the posts to use in my translator, but they don't allow the copy of the text. Even so, I want to all a Merry Christmas.

Thanks for the article! I'm actually glad that the show isn't planning on having team members hook up. I really like the chemistry that the cast has. I prefer the team having a "family" relationship versus a "romantic" one.

I don't like when tv shows pair two of the main characters up because usually the focus starts to become all about that relationship instead of what made that particular show unique in the first place.

Hi Fernando. Merry Christmas to you, too!

I agree on the non-romantic relationship thing. Hints are great, but in my experience, having major characters hook up has not been to the betterment of the shows. (But we can match up anyone in our imaginations!)

I can hear shippers everywhere fainting. Maybe he is wrong or trying to throw everyone off the track.

Shemar looks really good in the pic and would look good to any viewer teaming up with Garcia.

Wow he's pretty in that pic. I agree with everyone who said they don't want any romance on the show - I love the relationships between the characters, and I'd hate for it to change.

PS Just have to say, I totally love this blog! xx

I can do the romance thing in my head or read about it in fanfic. I think it would hurt the show. :)

They could be trying to throw us off course because Gideon was definately trying to get JJ and Reid together for that game.

I dunno, Mara. I'm not sure the thing with the football tickets was really an attempt to get hook them up. I think Gideon's real goal was to get Reid to try something new -- socializing with a woman he found attractive and yet not really attainable (and therefore fairly non-threatening). Like, "Son, you're obviously not ready for the club scene, but let's try going on a social outing with a pretty co-worker and start learning to walk a little, okay?" The preliminary move of a pawn, perhaps, in Gideon's overall plan for his protege's social development ...

I am going to agree with Lin on this. I think he is trying to get Reid to grow as a person.

Uhuuu!
Reid continuará solteiroo!
**I don't know translate that.
I hate when a drama show makes couples between characters.
Thats sucks.

Merry Christmas to all!

the comment about why no one is jumping into bed with one another made me happy. finally, a show that doesn't ruin everything with romance.
