Criminal Minds: Thomas Gibson, Aaron Hotchner on Criminal Minds, has signed a new contract!! Criminal Minds has their entire cast back together! A great day for fans!!
CMFAN11 I think you're just on here because you have no competition for AJ and Paget. I have to share TG with eleven and she's tough competition. Fair but tough LOL.
Here's some info about ep 7.02! Looks like it's gonna be a great episode
CM season 7 episode 2 "Proof" press release....
"The BAU team searches rural Oklahoma when women are being found murdered after being robbed of one of their five senses. Also, JJ and Prentiss get the cold shoulder from Reid as he deals with their deception about Prentiss' presumed death."
I hope y'all are liking all my info about S7! I'm getting stir crasy waitng for S7 to start, incase it wasn't already obvious enough lol.
any thoughts on 7.02? It's supposedly going to explore JJ as a profiler and give more info on that aspect of S7 as well
Hey everyone just caught up on all your posts. I'm not even sure where to start. Saw CM promo the other night and got so excited u started jumping up and down whilst clapping.... yes I had a tiny fangirl moment cmf11: I love Prentiss' hair. I prefer it to the harsh black they did w/ the longish bangs. I wasn't a fan of that look. Though she always looks beautiful the lighter colour (blimey shout out) makes her look softer and not quite so harsh. JJ is always gorgeous of course. Though I'm not sure how u feel about her profiling. She always seemed to give the cases that much needed personal caring touch. When she presented them you felt that they where people w/ families and lives not just another case to solve. I would Luke to find out more about her. I loved when she told Rossi he was the reason she became a profiler. On the subject of RN coming back for a ep. I'm not to hot on the idea. AS should just make a clean break and move on. I no urge to know more about her.... I feel we know more about her than all of our beloved characters. Gubegirl: heard about the power, that must have been horrible. I'm really excited that Jane Lynch is coming back. I always did love seeing her and Reid together. Syd: Nice to see you back Well on that note I must finish cleaning out the bathroom cabinets. If I don't get it done whilst the little guy is asleep he gets into everything and I end up cleaning lipstick, shampoo you name it from various places. :)
Wow lots of typos where I say u I mean to say I and I meant I have no urge wow I really should proof.... Always said but never done. Jill: thanks for letting us still hang out here. Hope you are doing well!
Yes I think it's kinda sad when I kno more about a one season regular than JJ who's been there since day 1. Also I'm hoping she doesn't come back. This season should be for the core 7 and only them. Although one episode might be ok there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to remind us fans of S6. Also I'd like it if prentiss kept her hair the same way it's going 2 b in the premiere, but make it look carmel colored brown like it was in the "Lauren". Honestly tho her and JJ are gorgeous no matter what they look like.
I think JJ will make a good profiler, but I think she still needs to present the cases.
BTW: did y'all see in the promo how someone cut a pic in half of JJ & Prentiss. I wonder if that might mean they're going 2 get in a fight or something this season. What do y'all think?
We officially have one week left! I'm stoked! This season is going 2 be very intense I think lol
I don't see how we know anymore about AS then we do the rest of the characters. I mean what do we know about her except that her father was a serial killer? Nothing.
As for JJ, we know she grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania and that she's afriad of the woods. She played soccer and won a scholarship to Pittsburgh, but when they needed a squishy moment between her and Rossi she suddenly ended up at Georgetown. Her older sister committed suicide when she was 11. She has a son named Henry and she was forced to go work for the Pentagon (DoD), which later changed to the State Department when they needed her to have a reason to show up in "Lauren" and now, even though she had no choice about leaving she's "DECIDED" to come back to the BAU and she's going to be a profiler because we didn't already have enough of those and because you know watching Garcia be all squeemish when presenting the cases is so much fun to watch.
Did I leave anything out? I've not really read anything yet that makes me excited about this upcoming season. In fact, most of what I've read sounds nothing like the show I fell in love with years ago. I'll be DVRing the premiere so I can tune into JJ Abrams new show. Watching loud, hot-headed Morgan be angry and unhinged while he hunts down Doyle doesn't appeal to me. Watching a bunch of pouty "ZOMG! You lied to me!" crybabies doesn't appeal to me either nor does heightened badassery or a heavy focus on the characters personal lives. Bleh. Oh well, I'll always have Seasons 1 thru 4 to enjoy immensely.
Sorry for being a major buzz kill, but everything I've read so far has left me feeling disappointed and not the least bit excited about the return of the show. I hope they surprise me.
sf, I feel the same way you do, and I have a hunch that we're not alone in our feelings. I think there are a lot of fans out there who are thinking the same way, but just aren't posting, here or anywhere yet about how they're feeling. But wait till the show actually starts again and they see clearly what the show has become.
Which JJ Abrams show are you talking about? I didn't think there was one on at the same time as CM, which comes on at 9 PM Wednesdays in my time zone.
I feel that Messer is going to kill CM with the direction she has been taking with it, and I'm positive season 7 will only get worse, much worse.
Sorry if anyone can't handle my negative post, but I've been feeling this way for quite awhile. I hadn't wanted to interrupt the "hideyhole" banter/activities sooner than now when it was still the middle of summer and we still had a long time to wait till the premiere. I understand why you guys are posting here. I don't like having to post in the other section when certain extremists really get going with their spamming and trolling, either.
Sorry, my bad. The JJ Abrams show (Person of Interest) premieres on Thursday night so I guess I have no valid excuse for not tuning in. :b
Every time I hear Erica Messer talking about the show I feel like I just stepped inside a Teen Beat magazine. I have nothing against teenagers, but I also don't share similar interests with them.
I agree about AS, but just 2 clarify what I ment mostly is that they were trying 2 shove her down our throat and not devoting enough time 2 the rest of the cast.
Also I like what EM has said so far about S7. She said it will concentrate more on the main cast than the unsubs so hopefully everyone will get a fair amount of screen time and good storylines as well.
Lastly, I agree it doesn't sound like the CM seasons 1-4 that were amazing. But 2 hopefully lighten yalls mood a bit EM did say that all the writers are familiar and studied up on the characters so hopefully it'll be ok. Also she has been there since day one so that also helps my opinion of S7.
O SF btw I love how your so right about JJ and where she worked and past and all the inconsensities in the writing. I also don't understand how they can afford 2 bring JJ back after the budget cuts forced AS to join another department? I don't mean 2 sound rude or anything but the DoD/ state department are kinda of one in the same depending what branch your talking about since there's many state departments overseas/US embassys in that part of the Lauren episode in my opinion they were on the right track with consistency.
However although JJ is more than capable of being a profiler we already have enough and she was already a big part of the team anyways without being a profiler.
Also I'd for once actually like 2 see a much softer side of Morgan and a tougher but not angry side of Reid.
Hopefully it'll all be ok. I just hope this season does good and doesn't get canceled so we'll have many more seasons of CM 2 enjoy. Ugh I'm kinda stressing about it lol
the DoD/ state department are kinda of one in the same
No, they really aren't. One is the DoD and one is the DoS and they are two separate entities. JJ was forced to go work for the Pentagon, which is the headquarters for the Department of Defense. When she showed up later she conviently worked for the State Department which falls under the Department of State umbrella. The DoS is what they needed in order for her to be able to dig into Prentiss's super secret spy past so they opted for the uber coolness of bringing JJ back to send Prentiss off over story consistency.
I don't recall EM ever saying the new writers were familiar with the characters or that they'd studied up on them. I recall a lot of us wishing they would do that very thing, but I don't recall her ever claiming that they had. I recall her making comments about how hard it is to be a writer coming into a show that's been running for so many years though.
Like I said, I hope they surprise me, but so far nothing I've read or heard from EM or the actors has made me excited for the return.
Btw I do actually know this since my major is international studies focusing on politics & diplomacy lol. My brain is just so filled w/ information between my classes that I have a few moments of confusion from time to time.
BTW: thanks for the correction. Gahh I feel like an idiot lol
I like how you worded the last sentence of your first paragraph. Very true.
Hopefully they'll work it out 2 say something along the lines of " she got transferred from the Pentagon to the state department"
Like I said about 6 pages ago on this thread. Consistency is key this season. Although I still really love the show and cast even with the writers mistakes lol
You're not an idiot and the lack of continuity doesn't really bother me. The show has never had it and it's always been a great source of sarcasm/humor for me.
That was all just something I've been holding in for weeks and needed to get off of my chest. Now worries. If I don't like the new season I won't be polluting the blog with negativity 24/7.
This quote from TG about Hotch made me smile though:
While he’s glad that the old team is back together, Thomas Gibson says the characters will deal with “fallout from what went down. There are trust issues that take a while to come back.” As team leader Aaron Hotchner, “I’ve told certain members of the team to get over it, and we’ll see if they do or not,” said Gibson, who admires Hotch’s integrity. “He’s a pretty stand-up guy. He takes fidelity, bravery, integrity very seriously — maybe too seriously.”
Ha! It'll be worth tuning in just to watch Hotch tell certain members of the team to GET OVER IT! LOL
I love that quote sf, I'm cracking up just imagining hotch telling them 2 get over it since he's usually more diplomatic lol
BTW: your bluntness is perfectly fine w/ me. since I'm that way as well and I have a great amount of respect for people that are honest with their opinions. Nowadays it's a breath of fresh air. I can tell by your posts you like 2 be right and have the last word (So do I) lol (I mean no offense) what I'm getting at is that it's fun for me 2 go back & forth with you at times lol so don't sweat it :)
Also please feel free 2 drop in anytime, eventhough your comment was a bit on the negative side it hit the nail on the head and it's good 2 vent sometimes.
I'm betting Reid & Morgan are the ones he tells 2 get over it lol
I can be very blunt, I won't deny that, but being right or having the last word.....not so much. I'm always happy to agree to disagree with people. See to me, there is no right or wrong in any of this, it's all about opinions and my opinions aren't any more right or wrong than yours are and I respect every person's opinion, whether I agree with it or not. : )
Did the cold front that moved through my state make it down to you yet? It was 100 degrees yesterday and it's going to be in the 60s tomorrow. PRAISE THE LORD!
Oh, and the State Fair starts tomorrow. Indian Tacos, Pancho Dogs, Giant Cinnamon Rolls, Funnel Cakes and Bacon Brownies. Oh, and well of course there will be rides, games and lots of exhibits to look at in-between all that eating. ; )
sf: that food sounds so good.... We have nothing like it up here. Is it as delicious as it sounds? I'm incredibly ecxcited for the CM premier. I am cautiously optimistic though. I don't expect anything of the caliber of S1-4, those days are gone. Just hoping the new days will be just as good in a dif. way. Though still not happy about Garcia presenting cases.
I'm kind of worried too about Morgan going off on a ridiculous macho vengeance quest to BRING DOYLE DOWN. Angry blowhard Morgan is my least favorite Morgan, and I'm hoping they can let Prentiss bring her own nemesis down. Lawfully. I don't much like the idea of the team doing "borderline illegal" things to nail him, because I value the team's integrity. I did get a laugh about Hotch being matter of fact about doing what he had to do. Anything that will short circuit the dramarama.
Am loving all the "OLD" CM's that are showing last week and this one on A&E and ion. Finally! The old is SO much better than season 6 was and I was tired as all getout of watching S-5 epi's over and over-geez. I can quote some of the lines and not even be in front of the TV and that's getting pretty bad.
I am excited and have high hopes for S-7 but have to admit I am not spending too much time thinking about it or I will set myself up for disappointment.
But feeling optimistic enuf and want to delete S-6 from the DVR that SO needs to be replaced that I actually ordered my CM S-6 from Amazon tonite. You must understand, I prob'ly will never even open it, but #1) after living in New England for 7 yrs, I have become a "collector" and 2nd, I have the other 6 and I am slightly OCD, ergo, I must need them all, right? Oh, well.
I would rather spend the $ on a CD with the CM soundtrack selections on it...I wish that had panned out. Had Hoped Erica would direct us some way to make that happen....my brain is on music and I hope they use some good alt and indy and classic stuff this season and not try making up all their own. Don't like that idea. Maybe cheap but I would find it boring.
Always thought you were in San Fran, sf? where are you, GF? I know you are a private person, but certainly you can share your state. Heck, I am an open book, but I know that everyone is not that way. Wouldn't that be boring?!
Watched "Ringer" last nite with SMGellar-liked it alot. Will def keep people on their toes, much like "The Killing", or "Damages."
How do you like that Amber Heard, who played "Lila" in CM "Someone's Watching" sev seasons back and was making out with Reid in the pool is getting a show: The Playboy Club. She is looking good but I will be not be watching because the male lead in that one is Eddie Cibrian who makes a naturally good creep (used his son to bait women a couple seasons back -yucky unsub.) Also, Zooey Deshanel who was in "500 Days of Summer" a couple years back with MGG looks like a good show, "The New Girl" who has just suffered a break-up and moves in with several guys. She is a doll and it looks like a good poss.
Then there's MGG's old GF in real life, Kat Dennings, getting her own show, "2 Broke Girls" about a couple waitresses wanting to start their own cucpcake business.
Mind you, I would not have paid much att'n. to any of these written up in the TV Guide had it not been their connection to MGG/Reid. I have one-track (CM)mind, you might say...
Always thought you were in San Fran, sf? where are you, GF?
Oh man, I wish I was in San Fran. I live in the state the BAU will be visiting in episode 7.02. I'm CMFAN11's Red River Rival. BOOMER!! Is that enough hints for "Y'all"? ; )
Y'all enjoy the premiere and I promise I will go into it with a open positive attitude. It can't possibly get any worse. Right? Did y'all see the picture from the set of TG with his pants undone? I wonder what kind of unsub their up against exactly? ; )
Hola from Vina, Chile!! My first glimpse of the Andes felled me - and then when I was travelling to Vina from the Santiago airport, my heart stopped. I can't believe how beautiful this place is, and the people are sooo nice. I wish, though, I knew a bit of Spanish. My colleague and I are sharing an ocean-view apartment and every day we take a little van up the hill to work. I could seriously just lose my passport and live here for ever! Missing hubs, though :-(
And I missed you guys. Just noooo time while in London - French resto, Scottish jazz bar, shopping, Japanese resto, castles….and lots of walking. I did get a pair of mary janes! Tonight I'm meeting a colleague's parents and they're taking me out for dinner (I hear there will be chorillana)!
How have you all been? It was great reading your posts. Welcome back Syd and Sky and RMF! Velandra - i hope your hubs is doing well. And hello Jill! thanks for keeping this thread open for us....
Love the piccies at the top of the blog...! Don't know what to think about S7. Yep, like tg's matter-of-fact response to the impending drama. Will take a looksie at the other thread now. Wish me luck! God it's good to be back here...and love you all!
Some good scoop folks - keep it coming. I'm looking forward to season 7 - nothing can be worse than season 6 (as a whole - there were some good parts though), and if they deliver what they promise in an effective way (e.g. no hissy fit Reid, no hot headed Morgan and other cliches) it'll hopefully be good.
Love TG's mention of Hotch's way of dealing with the aftermath - can't wait to see Hotch scowl and tell 'em to stop whinging and put up & shut up. He might even equal my recent badassery?!
I'm also enjoying the "debate" - that's why I like this thread, we can discuss stuff in a civilised and pleasant way, agree to disagree or differ opinion slightly and it stays... nice.
Sorry if I'm not making a lot of sense - since getting back I've been rushed off my feet. Work, gym (I'm carrying a couple of extra portions of burger & fries in the non-car trunk!), sorting out the house, trying not to be a social leper despite longing to be a social leper for a couple of weekends and generally not watching enough telly!
I'm also planning road trip summer 2012: NV - CA - OR - WA - Canada (3 nights) - MT - SD - WY - ID - NV. Currently working out hotels/motels/B&Bs & pricing it up, only 24 nights this time! ;-))
@ Gubegirl:
How's things with the pooch? Talk about them emotionally blackmailing you into taking her back!
Going to make the yellow sponge for the gannets in a week or so, except they'll be guinea pigs for a day as I trial it on them. I've actually started a bake off in our department, we're all competing to be the best cake maker which is doing my arse no favours.
@ SF:
I did some googling - Oklahoma? Wherever it is I want a giant cinnamon roll - I had a couple last month (feels like last year) and I'm hooked.
And saying what you mean and meaning what you say is a quality I respect. Too many people hide behind BS and jargon these days, you can be honest without disrespecting or belittling others. Another thing I like about this thread. ;-))
@ Eleven:
Hope your weather is better in Chile! I'd love to go to South America - the Andes are on my "visit list" for one distant day.
And on that note I'm off for a final cuppa and my beauty sleep. Hope all's good with the regulars, the returnees and the new folks (welcome!).
Wow, yes, I think everyone is shocked about the blog going on hiatus.
Thank you CMFAN11 and those of you who made me feel welcome to post here. I really appreciated that.
Jill tweeted that she's going to sit season 7 out, but that she's also OK and getting involved with another project.
I'm very pessimistic about season 7, but I'm going to try to watch the premiere with an open mind anyway.
I'm looking forward to some of the other shows that are premiering next week. I don't know if the DVR up here at "the cabin" is working. I'm actually afraid if I try to see if it works, I might screw up the whole TV system, so I think I'll just leave it alone.
Really bummed about the blog going on hiatus, but happy for Jill about her other projects. I'm so excited for the premier. Not even a week to go!!!!!!! The hubby has his oncologist appt. next week (positive thoughts/energy). I def. need to put some meat on his bones. Gubegirl Amy suggestions?
Jill: TY, SO much - we totally appreciate your indulgence and wish you nothing but the best!
Now, fellow TZ's: we know where we can come and have civil convo, and no matter what, DO NOT let any intruders get the better of us! If anyone in the nutters/whacko rude-nicks category come here, DO NOT respond. We will ignore them as if they are not here because we all know that reason and good sense mean nada to them. Agreed?
OK, enuf from the resident mother hen. LOL.
Blimey: Glad you are surviving being back to work and are back in your sweat shop of a kitchen:) I admire you for the single woman/cook that you are and know we would get along famously should we ever meet. We'd start with the Patron and then advance to swapping recipes while watching CM DVD's.....sound good?
Thanks for the Stella inquiry. She is currently doing well in her "outdoor doggie" environ. As my son says, "hey, our yard is WAY better than the pound and she knows it and is trying to be good." He loves her to pieces and takes her into the granny flat at nite for her to snuggle with him while he watches TV or catches a catnap with his fave pooch. Bella, the cat, is LOVING having the run of the house again and loves to watch Stella jump thru hoops outside with my son as he wears the "wild one" out.
CMF11: you have become one dedicated TZ and good on you for hangin' in here with the ladies..we enjoy your company and hope it's mutual!
Sky: Good to hear from you. I know you don't mean to be a downer but I am the eternal optimist and I want to believe S-7 will be good. 'Nuff said:) But just in case: ERICA: Do you hear that? I have faith in you, GF! Do NOT let us down!
sf: want to tell you guys all about this new study I read re: "spoilers" and how they are a GOOD thing but too tired to do so tonite after my workshop today. Have the material right next to the 'puter but if I don't write about it in a day or two, REMIND me as I am crazy busy these days.
V: I say get a breadmaker and I will share my recipes for my Italian/French bread, famous butterhorns and INFAMOUS cinnamon rolls. You use the breadmaker to mix the dough ONLY and put it thru its first rise; then you form it into shape, let it rise its second time and bake.
The bread is great; my friend with breast CA used to love it when she had no appetite. Fresh, you can butter it, dip it in oil & vinegar or spread jam or peanut butter on it. Day or two old, it makes the best toast and grilled cheese and 3-4 days old, EXCELLENT French toast. Esp when you add OJ to the custard you dip it in prior to hitting the frypan. Oh, YUM. That with maple syrup: so good.
I'll bet you can get a great buy on a bread maker on E-bay and my model is a Panasonic. It takes longer to make the dough but the texture is totally worth it. (Good things are worth waiting for?!)
G'nite y'all. Happy Sunday to you (it's almost 10 PM here in sunny SO-CAL.)
Eleven: Did not mean to leave you out, but you are OOT (out-of-town, right? Out of country would be more like it!) Stay safe and glad you found some MJ's!
Cheers Jill - hope your new stuff goes well, but pretty please come back to us soon! ;-))
Just seen this on the spoiler TV website:
Episode # 707 of Criminal Minds will be called: "There's No Place Like Home"
Look out for the unsub of the week, who is a thrill seeker who kidnaps young teenage boys. I wouldn't want to tell you who he is, but if I say "Stoke" then the smarter UK readers may be able to work it out.
Hmmmm, will ponder this one. Only been to Stoke-on-Trent (which is also dodgy rhyming slang) a couple of times - dragged to a footie match with an ex-boyfriend and Hanley library for family tree stuff - although in my train-riding days I went through it numerous times. Someone suggested Robbie Williams in the comments - I bloody well hope so!!!!! ;-))
Back later for more CM, yellow sponge making report and general chewing the cyber fat. Assuming I haven't frozen to death or dissolved.
Blimey: Are you speaking of the crazy British singer whose song about monkey/drugs in the early to mid 2000's was one of my (crazy) faves? OMG! I know nothing about him but I imagine him making George Michael look like the village pastor! Hah! LMK, K?
R U doing the butter-yellow cake? We don't hear sponge cake much.
Will read your post again later when I have more time because after Robbie Wms, I digested nada else!
Hope a few more friends show up soon. Miss everybody. I'm sure next Thursday we can all talk our heads off and not sharing recipes! Hah!
Thank you Jill for keeping the threads open. Good luck with your new opportunity.
Gubegirl- No, I really don't want to be a downer. If I don't like the show this season, I'll probably only post here a couple times about it, and then that will be it. Personally, I'm already prepared to let go.
Hi TZ's I've been awol for a while. Missing all of you. Now I come back and see that the Blog is on hiatus. Jill thank you for allowing us to continue to chat and good luck with your endeavours. I'm not on here so much these days because I'm self employed and really need to be focusing more of my energy on my business. I'm hoping that Wed will be a good night of CM watching. I plan to make my first EC and will check in afterwards. Happy Mon.
Roll on Thursday (for me) when I can Source my very own installment of CM - I'll be avoiding this thread until I've had my fix. It's been a long time coming, and all these snippets/sneak peeks we keep getting thrown aren't helping the suspense. Saw the Hotch Rap earlier - made me larrrrrrf.
@ Gubegirl:
That's the one - cheeky chappy with the nice green eyes. A friend from school was so in love with him back in the day she started also supporting his footie team (Port Vale) despite being a die-hard Spurs (hahaha!!) fan all her life. He married an American woman and I think he now lives on the right side of the Pond (i.e not this one!), so perhaps acting is next on his list? Hope so!
The yellow sponge - so called because I used a classic Victoria sponge recipe with 25g extra butter and three extra egg yolks - went down a treat at work today. The vultures (gannets is too tame) circled, swooped and polished it off pretty sharpish. There've been demands for another! I put white choc chips on top of the icing - always a winner with that lot.
Hope y'all are well - some dirty article has passed on their festering Limey snuffles so I'm off for an early night. 11.30pm is early for me, bwt!
I can't believe it!!!! Just saw TG on the first ep of the new season of Two and A Half Men. He and Jenna Elfman in what I suppose you'd call a walk on performance. Looking skinny but good.
Tomorrow Night!!!!! I'm so excited ,I can't wait! I just hope my expectations aren't so high that I get let down. Either way it'll be nice to see our team back together after what seems like ages....
Really liked the ep. Thought it incredibly well done. I will go into more detail tom after having time to digest. Quick ques. does anyone els thing PB might be pregnant? She looks amazing of course just .....
Liked some moments of the ep. There were a few team scenes that were good and it was good to have them all back but overall I was very disappointed. Too much macho/bullet proof vest action and I found the whole back and forth between past and present just confusing. And I really did not understand the part Emily played in hiding Declan. Was this set up in the last season, if it was I missed it. Or was just another of those convenient, lacking in continuity stories? I actually stopped watching at one point before the first commercial break and then came back to it because I just was not ready to call it quits. The previews for next week look good. Will wait and see.
I assume I can let people know this now since this blog is on hiatus. There's a transcript of a chat with Kirsten on the CM Round Table blog. Does not have the same feel as this one but they do a good job of posting the latest info. Perhaps everyone already knows about it, I know some do but if not it's out there.
Theresa: Emily is the one that staged his death and put him and the nanny in hiding. They showed it on the season finale. I wasn't a fan of the back and forth and I found the director incredibly empathetic which us just nit like her. Especially when it came to Declan. Maybe something us going on w/ get son? I really liked how they had AS transfer to andi Swans unit. I liked how it was wrapped up w/ one sentence. More in the am.
I loved the episode. They got a lot done and didn't have a lot of the filler stuff with car crashes and the like from last year. There was too much Morgan and Garcia again for my taste but that seems to be the way it is going these days. I do have a question about Reid though. At the beginning JJ says Morgan, Rossi and Garcia and she were the team. We know where Hotch was and we know what happened to Seaver but where was Reid? I watch on the Canadian channel that has a billion commercials so they may have cut this out so if anyone knows maybe you could fill me in. This episode is one I will watch again though and really look forward to the rest of the season.
I'm not checking the latest comments on the newest page, but let's just say this episode is obviously in demand and I'll have to watch it when I get back from work (currently Sourcing it!!). Uurrgghh - I hate this country, there was nothing decent to watch on the box last night and now I have to wait even more hours for CM.
Thought it was sixteen kinds of awful. The Prentiss arc has just been toxic to this show. I didn't tune back into the show to watch our team act like horse's asses. Morgan and Garcia work to track down Doyle and don't tell anyone, including their unit chief. Inexplicably, their unit chief does not tear them a new one for this, despite the danger of leading Doyle straight to Declan. Instead, he tells Morgan to kill Doyle if he can, something the law-abiding Hotch would never do. Hotch himself has meanwhile been in Pakistan on a special assignment whose purpose is never explained. It is so important that he can't find time to shave, although he can abandon it at a moment's notice. He also fails to summon local authorities in Baltimore when they get a lead on Declan's whereabouts, because, um, because...well, we never find out. Reid, not to be left out of the fun, suggests they let Doyle out of custody to trade him for Declan, thereby leading to a standoff at the airport that couldn't be more clearly designed to get people killed. They have the plane surrounded. Why would they need to trade anybody for anybody? So they're idiots, and they're up to their eyebrows in hot water, but Prentiss saves the day by tearfully reciting the FBI oath in front of the committee. Lawd hammercy. The writers need to accept that they can't write 24-style material, and it doesn't belong in this show anyway.
RMF: I quite enjoyed your recap. Though I don't quite agree w/ you. Considering the grave called S6they had to dig themselves out of I think they pulled it off quite well. I thoroughly enjoyed the ep. Though there were the inconsistencies you mentioned i.e. where was Reid? Hotch could just hop on a plane at a whim and return? And the always fun let's trade one hostage for another ( I didn't actually think he was serious or that they'd go for it until....) but barring the it was all a dream sequence I think they did quite a good job of climbing out. Though my one ques. Is if it was that easy to find Declan all along why didnt Doyle find him sooner being TransAtlantic super terrorist and all. Now let's get back to the profiling and CM we know and love.
Thanks. Although I don't quite agree bc for my tastes this episode sounds awesome.
As far as hotch telling him 2 take the shot, that's really not that out of character considering what they've been through. Everyone on the team has changed to an extent. Hotch did afterall lie 2 the team, which at one time he would never do.
@ Velandara:
I agree with your paragraph and I can't wait 2 see it lol.
Where us everybody???? I'm interested in hearing thoughts on lasts nights ep. And trading ideas on where we think things should go, what we would like to see etc. Even my hubby watched it w/ me ( he's feeling a lot better and hopefully we'll get good news from his oncologist). The reason I made the PB pregnant comment is b/c it seems their dressing her in very loose shapeless un Prentiss like outfits? Thoughts? Hope y'all are having a great day, it's raining/drizzling/ pouring intermittently here yuk!!!! Blimey hope you get the ep. from your source..... Enjoy!!!!
It's been fun chatting with y'all, but this place has been put out to pasture and will more than likely just become more and more deserted as time passes. If you're interested in having a place to chat I can crate a private "members only" forum where we could chat and share spoilers, links, pictures, ect. if you're interested. If you think you might want to do that my email sf81387@yahoo.com. Let me know if you want to do it and I'll create the forum and anyone who wants to join just send me an email. If not! See ya around and enjoy the season!
Hello, everyone! Finally taking a moment to ck in after watching my DVR'd S-7 CM a couple hours ago. Was praying my crazy, inconsistent but recently re-set DVR would record it while I was at the Santana concert and lo' & behold: it did! TG! That would be "thank God" not "Thomas Gibson"...who, BTW, looked very sexy with the facial hair but very thin and drawn: anyone else noticing this? Hope that this is no illness and was deliberate tho' I can't imagine why: our fearless leader was far from fat!
Liked the show alot; not perfect but did not expect that. They had to squeeze a TON into that first epi in order to clear up so many issues and get back on track in order to MOVE ON from the debacle that was S-6.
All was not feasible or reasonable but I chose not to analyze it to pieces and have to say I was satisfied. I noticed that things like us suggesting about AS moving to Andi's unit, etc. was incorporated and wondering what will be happening to Declan? Obviously, EP has serious involvement in his life and has always expressed an interest in being a mom: could she, would she? Timing...work???? Time will tell, huh?
Loved Reid's interview with the senator and correcting the "agent" title to "Dr." Love when that kid asserts himself. He has really come into his own. Love you, Matthew!
Thought everyone did a great job, nothing felt strangely phony or out of place to me but watched it only once. Go, ahead, tell me what you think and beat me up abit for my impressions:) if you like, but remember, I AM AN OPTIMISTIC but consider myself to be realistic. But you would not catch me watching a REALITY show: they are SO not real! Hah!
sf: I am game. Who knows if/when this may go away? I admire your techie skills, GF - I am so impaired along those line. Keep me in the kitchen, right?
I liked the way things was presented, flashback doesn’t perturb me, already seen (episode 100) but it was a good idea, the reaction of the characters about to Emily’s return is what I had expected, but it’s not finished yet, many things were left unsolved, I have many questions without answers at the moment.
For example I don’t understood why Strauss had returned (and thus why she had left?), nor why Hotch was in Pakistan and even less, the title of the episode … For me who’s French, this expression in english doesn’t explain anything, I simply don’t understand, anybody can help me?
Last but not least, I liked this little conversation between Hotch and Rossi about Jack and Hotch’s beard and I fell so sorry for Doyle at the end of the episode.
Can’t wait for the next one, and for the 704 to see Jack!
syd: I think when they titled it " It takes a Village", they are referring to the entire team, as a whole, working together, being needed to accomplish what they needed to do, to get the job done. That's what it means to me.
Hilary Clinton used that phrase years ago about educating and raising a child. (Just a side note because it reminded me of that when I first heard the title.)
You make a good point about Strauss. I thought the same thing.
The flash-backs and forwards were OK, but you didn't dare take your eyes off the screen for a second because you might miss a caption (?) printed on the screen and then you would be lost! Because it was DVR'd, I was able to go back right away once and keep up but I made a point to watch carefully.
Again, I liked it. Can't wait to watch it in real-time next week but saw no preview (my DVR did not pick it up) for next epi. Having a bowl of hot, buttered popcorn on my lap and sipping on a glass of wine makes it SO much better!
Everyone: What do you think of sf's offer to start another forum? It's great that Jill told us the threads would be kept open, but sf is right, with no new photos/excerpts/blurps on here, the interest will def dwindle.
I have signed on to contribute to a "Real Behind The Scenes of the Top TV Shows" book. The book will be taking somewhat of a different turn when it comes back.
But it will once again make the blog extremely popular.
....Just to give you a taste:
1. Which actor outed KV a year before she went public to a major tabloid and how much did CBS have to pay to get them to keep quiet about it?
2. Which actor/actress is actually divorced but pretending to still be married?
Sounds like Tabloid gossip to me and not something I'd be interested in, but others might be and I'm sure they'll come take a look if it ever happens, but for now fans need a place to talk about the new season of Criminal Minds and that's what I'm offering.
The offer of a private forum is still out there if y'all are interested. In a proper forum, pictures, videos, would be right there to view. You wouldn't need to follow links. You'd never have to hunt for the wonderful on-set photos that this genorous cast and crew provides daily again because I would provide a forum where those types of things are easy to share with others. Also, because it would be a members only forum I'd be able to screen and keep out the "nutters" and easily remove any "nutter" that may manage to infiltrate.
Let me know. It would only take me a couple of hours to set it up.
Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing very well, and thank you, Jill, for keeping this thread open….i'm still out of action for various reasons - so haven't seen the premier (shocking!). The reviews /comments are mixed, but that was to be expected….it sounds action packed, though, and I want it to go back to its erstwhile pace and intellectual complexities. However, I will reserve judgment till I've seen it - it's only fair!
Thanks, SF, for the great offer - there's no reason where we cannot be in two places when we want to chat! Will email you on Tues/Wed!
Jill - were you referring to a CM actor/actress in point 2? I'm curious about one thing, though - is the actor/actress ready to reveal something like that? I know you've said that they are your friends - so just wondering if they were ok with such revelatory and personal comments about their lives? I'm not being accusatory here - just curious.
As for the revelation itself - only jm, tg and aj are married, correct?

No, I haven't left the planet or given up on CM. I haven't been able to get on here in what seems like forever. That's what happens when you find your BFF unconscious in her apartment and she winds up in the ICU and you're both medical proxy and POA. It's been a busy time.
I haven't had a chance to read up on all your antics for the past few weeks. I hope to get to that.
Blimey:
I see you're back safely on the other side of the pond.
Velandra:
I hope your hubby gets good news and I'm glad he's feeling better.
sf:
Count me in.
Gubegirl:
It was good to hear news of Stella again though I don't know exactly what's been going on, I just read some of the more recent posts. I'll have to go back and catch up.
Now the episode that we seemed to wait forever for:
I felt the reintroduction of Prentiss was a little anticlimactic.
Hated Hotch with a beard. Thank God he got rid of that in a hurry and what the heck was he doing in Pakistan?
I loved Reid standing up to the senator. "This is calm and it's doctor." He also took out that woman like nobody's business.
It seemed a little rushed to me, that they tried to scrunch too much into the time they had, but I realize they had to get this over with to carry on.

A) hurray for a new page finally!
B) you beat me 2 the punch this time since I've been first the past 2 pages. Lol
9 days! I can't believe it!
I'm so freakin happy JJ/ prentiss are finally returning to the ensemble.
CMFAN11
I think you're just on here because you have no competition for AJ and Paget.
I have to share TG with eleven and she's tough competition. Fair but tough LOL.
Haha yea that's partly correct. I also just like hanging here w/ my fellow TZ's in our little hideaway.
I can't wait 2 discuss 7.01. The promo is freaking awesome.
Saw CM promo the other night and got so excited u started jumping up and down whilst clapping.... yes I had a tiny fangirl moment
cmf11: I love Prentiss' hair.
Syd: Nice to see you back
Well on that note I must finish cleaning out the bathroom cabinets.
@ velandara:
Yes I think it's kinda sad when I kno more about a one season regular than JJ who's been there since day 1. Also I'm hoping she doesn't come back. This season should be for the core 7 and only them. Although one episode might be ok there is ABSOLUTELY no reason to remind us fans of S6. Also I'd like it if prentiss kept her hair the same way it's going 2 b in the premiere, but make it look carmel colored brown like it was in the "Lauren". Honestly tho her and JJ are gorgeous no matter what they look like.
I think JJ will make a good profiler, but I think she still
needs to present the cases.
@ sky:
Please feel free 2 join us more often.
@ Sf:
Ah yes! Your right like always lol gahhhh.
Btw I do actually know this since my major is international studies focusing on politics & diplomacy lol. My brain is just so filled w/ information between my classes that I have a few moments of confusion from time to time.
BTW: thanks for the correction. Gahh I feel like an idiot lol
@ SF:
Oh, and well of course there will be rides, games and lots of exhibits to look at in-between all that eating. ; )
@ Sf
Yes actually for a couple days it has. But only in the 70's in the morning then right back up in the 90's the rest of the day lol.
But there is hope nonetheless. We're supposed 2 get some much needed rain this week which will hopefully help out w/ the fires.
I also hope they prove you wrong. However more about the teams personal lives/ badass moments is ok w/ me. I have very high hopes for S7 lol
sf: that food sounds so good....
Where are you Blimey??
Have a good nite, y'all.
I wonder what kind of unsub their up against exactly? ; )
@ Gubegirl:
OMG I'm the exact same way....I have seasons 1-5 so now I gotta get S6, and then S7 next year lol
@ sf:
Yay for another southerner! Lol
I'm still alive!
Laters y'all...
Dang it! The blog is on hiatus.
I was excited about that chat.....
Bummer...
Hope your doing ok Jill :))
We have exactly 4 days TZ's!
This premiere is going 2 freaking rock! There's also a bunch more of premieres this week.
Thank God for DVR! I can watch the premiere over and over again lol
All the threads will stay open so you can all continue to enjoy each other. :)
Jill your the best!!!! Thank you so much and the best of luck w/ everything!
T: wherever you are, hello to you, too!
Yes thanks so much Jill! You rock!
@ Gubegirl:
Now we can discuss Episode 7.01 in peace! Lol and even better on here! Yeauhhh lol
And yes I have become a dedicated TZ. I like keeping y'all informed lol
Laters y'all...
Hah!
Off to walk dogs and do yoga...
Thank you Jill for keeping the threads open. Good luck with your new opportunity.
Gubegirl- No, I really don't want to be a downer. If I don't like the show this season, I'll probably only post here a couple times about it, and then that will be it. Personally, I'm already prepared to let go.
@ Gubegirl:
Here are some songs for you 2 add 2 a playlist/ or lookup lol
This one could possibly fit in on CM
Kyle Hunt- Stop drop & roll
And that one along with these next 2 are something we call Texas country lol
Randy Rogers band- "This time around", "Better off wrong"
Tina turner & Bryan Adams - It's only love
Bryan Adams-summer of 69
Bon Jovi- Living in sin.
I wish that chat could've worked out. There's alot I'd like 2 ask the cast/crew/ producers lol
Just a couple more days TZ's! This wait is seriously killing me lol
CMFan11: Love your musical taste. Love Bryan Adams and Bon Jovi!
WIll look up the others, and give a listen. Wish we could have gotten that soundtrack off the ground - I have a list a MILE long for that purpose!
Hi TZ's
I've been awol for a while.
Laters...
Ok so according to the beautiful AJ cook in an interview w/ TV fanatic
S7 is a season for the fans.
Especially the first 7 episodes which have slot of personal touches scattered through them.
Also 7.01 will bring JJ/Prentiss back in a very believable way. As well as be action packed!
I just hope she's correct. I'm optimistic and have faith in EM. At least we can rest assured it'll be believable. Yeauhhh lol
Either way it'll be nice to see our team back together after what seems like ages....
here are some episode titles
I just forgot the episode number for each one...
"Epilogue"
"In childhoods hour"
"Theres no place like home"
"Proof"
I gotta say I'm very impressed. One more day, who knew 24 hours could feel sooooo long lol
Setting the alarm clock for 5am on Thursday morning so I can hopefully obtain AND watch the episode before heading out to work... ;-))
Told you I live in a Third World country!
It's Wednesday!!! Just 14 more hours!!! I'm w/ cmf11 who knew it could feel sooo long!
Ok so since I want alot of the rest of the season 2 suprise me, I'm done w/ my spoilers lol
I'm slightly burned out w/ spoilers lol
I can't believe the day is finally here.
I hope CM has enough viewers for good ratings this season, they are competing w/ " The x factor", "American Idol", and "Modern Family" ugh.
12 1/2 hours TZ's.
Won't y'all be glad for some new topics 2 discuss tomorrow?
@ Gubegirl:
How'd u like TX country? Lol
Alarm clock set for 5am tomorrow morning in the hope I can get my CM fix before work - otherwise the day will be painfully loooooooong!
The wait is now really pecking my swede (Limey points for the first non-Limey to translate that little beauty).
Enjoy watching the show on a proper TV y'all, you jammy articles that you are! ;-))
@ Gubegirl:
Going to attempt the pumpkin dump cake on Sunday, the gannet-vulture chimerae (ahhh, high school Latin finally has a use!) are already circling.
Laters...
He'll always be adorable but what is w/ the hair??????
Hotch W/ facial hair delish!!!! And yes I'm doing a moment by moment commentary. When Prentiss walked in .....
I live a self assured Reid " I'm calm and it's Dr." ok I'm done now.
Ok so since I'm holding various official positions in a few clubs I had a meeting and missed the episode. Bummer :(
I read a re-cap and it looks freaking awesome. So I'll watch it on my DVR at home this weekend.
Will someone please give me a brief summary or discuss it that way I'll somewhat of an idea of it lol
Later guys....
Hope y'all enjoyed?! ;-))
@ RMF:
SF
Hi Girls and Guy !
I’ve seen the episode last night and i liked it.
Have a good day!
Syd
syd: I think when they titled it " It takes a Village", they are referring to the entire team, as a whole, working together, being needed to accomplish what they needed to do, to get the job done.
NO WORRIES!
I meant blog taking a turn
SF
Gubegirl, thnaks for the explanations...
And for sf offers, i'm in to, why not!

Hi fellow TZs,
No, I haven't left the planet or given up on CM.
