"No Way Out" -- Gideon and Morgan go head to head in a stand off with a prolific serial killer who is strangely calm when they corner him in a diner, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, August 13 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS. John Gallagher directed the episode from a script written by Simon Mirren.
Academy Award and Golden Globe Award winner and Grammy Award nominee Keith Carradine ("Deadwood") guest stars as the suspected serial killer. Golden Globe Award winner and Academy and Emmy Award nominee Amy Madigan ("Carnivale") guest stars as a small desert town's resident outcast. "When the team locates the serial killer in a remote desert diner, the local authorities are eager to take action, but Gideon insists that they wait when it becomes evident that the murderer has a "get out of jail free" card up his sleeve. As Gideon and Morgan use their specialized techniques to ply information out of the suspect, the rest of the team studies the few clues Frank has left behind in order to find out what keeps him coming back to this same isolated town year after year."

When the prolific serial killer Frank returns and murders Gideon's girlfriend, Gideon takes off to find him without telling the team where he is going. The BAU must then profile Gideon as well as Frank to find both of them.
