CRIMINAL MINDS: CHANDLER CANTERBURY PRESS RELEASE

Criminal Minds Guest Star: Chandler Canterbury is a 3rd grader and he studies violin. He enjoys baseball, basketball and a good steak.

Chandler broke out into the entertainment industry with his first feature film last October shot in Austin, Texas called Gary the Tennis Coach along side of his brother, Colby, and starring Seann William Scott and Houston’s own Randy Quaid (set to be released Spring of 2008). From there he has taken Hollywood by storm with supporting roles in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Warner Brothers/Paramount Pictures starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett – release of November 26, 2008) and Powder Blue (starring Forest Whitaker, Jessica Biel, Ray Liotta, Kris Kristofferson and Houston’s own Patrick Swayze – release of 2008).

Chandler had the wonderful opportunity to film this guest starring role in Criminal Minds in August of this year and work some of the best in the industry including Gordon Clapp (Emmy award winner for NYPD Blue), Eddie Cibrian (Vanished, Invasion, Third Watch and Sunset Beach) and the series regulars, Thomas Gibson, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J Cook, and Paget Brewster. The episode is directed by Edward Allen Bernero and written by Chris Mundy.

In October, Chandler will travel to Toronto to film Universal Picture’s Sci-Fi thriller The Repossession Mambo along side of Jude Law and Forest Whitaker.

There are not many 8 year olds that can say they have played Brad Pitt, been kissed by Cate Blanchett, had Jessica Biel cry over them, gone to heaven with Ray Liotta, and have been trained to hold a real gun!!

Chandler is represented by A+ Actors of Texas in Houston and CESD and 1 Management in Los Angeles.

CRIMINAL MINDS & THE EMMY AWARDS

Criminal Minds has never been nominated for an Emmy but this evening the show was at least mentioned. Joe Mantegna was introduced as the new star of Criminal Minds. That is the closest we have gotten to actually being recognized by the Academy. On a happy note, Helen Mirren, Simon Mirren's aunt, won an Emmy. Next year is our year. :)

CRIMINAL MINDS: AUTOGRAPHED "REVELATIONS" SCRIPT.

Criminal Minds: Ed Bernero's office has provided me with a wonderful Criminal Minds autographed script of "Revelations" to use as a contest prize. On September 25th the Criminal Minds Fanatic blog celebrates it's one year anniversary and the Criminal Minds Fanatic Message Board celebrates it's six month anniversary. The very next day our much awaited new season of Criminal Minds starts. Lets tie all of these events into something fun. After the Season Opener airs I will post a spoiler post. The post will accept comments for one week. All eligible comments must be at least 20 words long and contain one detail from the actual episode. There is already a number typed on the script itself. Whoever posts that number's comment wins. It is acceptable to comment more than once but the comments must have actual substance or be in response to someone else's comment and also be at least 20 words long. September 26th, we are going to have a Kirsten Contest! Here are

premiere. Two of them will be correct and the other will be an

"The Brave One"

For Erica Bain (Jodie Foster), the streets of New York are both her home and her livelihood. She shares the sounds and the stories of her beloved city with her radio audience as the host of the show "Street Walk." At night, she goes home to the love of her life, her fiance David Kirmani (Naveen Andrews). But everything Erica knows and loves is ripped from her on one terrible night when she and David are ambushed in a random, vicious attack that leaves David dead and Erica close to it.

Though Erica's broken body heals, deeper wounds remain--the devastation of losing David and, even more overwhelming, a suffocating fear that haunts her every step. The city streets she had once loved to roam, even places that had been warm and familiar, now feel strange and threatening.

When the fear finally becomes too much to bear, Erica makes a fateful decision to arm herself against it. The gun in her hand becomes a tangible way to protect herself from an intangible enemy...or so she thinks.

The first time she shoots someone, it is kill or be killed. The second time is also in self-defense...or did she make a choice not to take herself out of harm's way? The fear that had once paralyzed her has been replaced by something else...something that drives her to reclaim the life that was taken from her that night...something that Erica does not even recognize in herself.

Stories of an anonymous vigilante grip the city, and NYPD detective Sean Mercer (Terrence Howard) becomes increasingly determined to track down the killer. As he pieces together the clues, the evidence begins to point not to a guy with a gun...but a woman with a grudge. With Mercer closing in and her own conscience trying her, Erica must decide whether her quest for some form of justice, and even vengeance, is truly the right path, or if she has become the very thing she is hunting.

This film has been rated "R" by the MPAA for "strong violence, language and some sexuality."
