CRIMINAL MINDS GOES GAME

Criminal Minds going game: Legacy Interactive has signed a licensing agreement with CBS Consumer Products to develop a video game based on the popular crime drama series Criminal Minds, as part of it Hollywood Hits game series.

Criminal Minds revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. Led by Special Agent Aaron “Hotch” Hotchner, each member brings his or her own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators' motivations and identify their emotional triggers in the attempt to stop them.

“Legacy Interactive is thrilled to be collaborating with CBS Consumer Products to expand our Hollywood Hits games,” said Ariella Lehrer, President and CEO of Legacy Interactive. “Criminal Minds is an intelligent and sophisticated television series that will translate wonderfully into an interactive gaming experience.”

In the Criminal Minds game, players delve into the criminal mind with clever puzzles and immersive hidden object gameplay. The game will include characters and themes taken directly from the hit television series. In the game, fans will be able to take on the role of different members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) to solve a series of five shocking crimes. In order to track down the killers and solve each case, players will need to examine crime scenes for clues, interview witnesses and suspects, analyze evidence and build a profile based on real-life criminal profiling techniques.

CRIMINAL MINDS: GREAT INTERVIEW WITH KIRSTEN VANGSNESS

Criminal Minds: Wonderful interview with Kirsten Vangsness, Penelope Garcia on Criminal Minds, in iF Magazine:

CRIMINAL MINDS is one of the darkest of TV’s procedurals, dealing as it does with a team of FBI profilers who track serial killers in every episodes, hoping to capture the homicidal culprits before they kill again. The main regular source of brightness on the CBS hit, now in its fifth year, is colorful computer researcher Penelope Garcia, played with great warmth and panache by Kristen Vangsness. Vangsness, known for her work on the Los Angeles theatre scene, took what began as a small recurring role and invested her with so much spark that she soon became indispensable to the teams both on and off-screen.

iF MAGAZINE: Coming into fifth season, was anybody worried about the renewal, or was everyone pretty confident?

CRIMINAL MINDS: BRAVO ED!

Criminal Minds: There has been way too much already written about Mandy P. guest starring on Three Rivers but I loved Ed Bernero's responses in this article so I am posting it. I think it should answer once and for all the emails I have been receiving the past few days asking me if Mandy is coming back to Criminal Minds!

The highlights:

Mandy: “They were some of the most beautiful, gifted actors I ever had the privilege to work with, and I miss them all very much,” he says. But a show about tracking serial killers “just wasn't the right fit at the time....The way I work, for better or worse, is to bring that material to life. My mind was immersed in Holocaust images 24/7. It isn't that I won't do pieces like that in the future, I'll just be cautious in terms of what I choose. I'll choose in a very Mandy-friendly fashion.”

Ed: The warm feelings aren't exactly mutual on the Minds set. “I can tell you that nobody misses him,” says executive producer Edward Allen Bernero, who says the last time he talked to Patinkin was just before the table read, when the star said, “I'll see you in an hour” and then didn't show. “We sent the police out,” says Bernero. “We thought he got in an accident on the freeway coming to work.”

“He really hurt a lot of people,” continues Bernero, who's currently working on Minds' 100th episode, slated for November. “We were going into our third season—it's one of the most important seasons—and nobody knew whether [his leaving] meant everybody lost their jobs. It was handled very poorly. I'm not hurt about it, although I won't ever work with him again. I'm just proud of this [Minds] family. Looking back on it it's like, wow, that really cemented us all.”
