CRIMINAL MINDS UPDATE!

Criminal Minds Family: Wow! What a difference a day makes. Keep those donations for Kim rolling in. We are making a lot of progress today!!! Criminal Minds rocks and so does its fans. We are sooooooooooo going to be #1 in donations. A special thank you to the donor who wishes to remain anonymous for the $750 donation they sent to my paypal for me to donate. You rock hard! Lets keep it up everyone.

Also, thank you so much to all the people who have and continue to donate to the Red Cross in honor of Rick Dunkle (WA on Criminal Minds). The Criminal Minds moderator incharge of that assistance fund sent me an email yesterday telling me that we are almost at the $1,800 mark which is fantastic. Mother nature left a mess so whatever we can do to help people rebuild their lifes is great.

Remember as well that the multi-fandom blog to aid the Actors Fund is up and running and adding new items every few days. Thank you to ALL the showrunners, writers, actors and crew who have dug in their closets and contributed items for auction. While I am not incharge of gathering item donations I have touched those at Criminal Minds that I felt comfortable emailing and ALL of them have said they will also donate items from the various shows they have worked on. Unknowingly the donations committee reached out to an actor (can't tell you who yet) that not only offered a very special item as a donation but informed them that he is actually filming on Criminal Minds next week. Terrific!

The next Criminal Minds chat is on Sunday. Ashes and Dust airs next Wednesday and I will email Andrew Wilder and see if he is available to spend a few minutes chatting with us after it airs. I know the writers are backed up busy right now but you never know unless you ask. Erica Messer and Deb Fisher start shooting their next episode in a few days. That is exciting news. The "Gruesome Twosome" never fail to delight!

I'm told that the production crew enjoyed the chocolate yesterday and that Kirsten received one of the MANY sets of flowers the moderators sent her. What a nightmare that was!

CRIMINAL MINDS: JASON ALEXANDER IS PAYING US A VISIT.

"Jason Alexander has booked a killer (ha!) guest stint on CBS’ Criminal Minds. “It’s a really crazy role,” says executive producer Ed Bernero. “He's going to come in and turn himself in, but we have no idea who his victims are. So we have to reverse profile.” The episode’s slated to kick off November sweeps." -Michael Ausiello for EW
**I am turning off comments on this post.

CRIMINAL MINDS DOESN'T LOSE TO OTHER SHOWS!

Criminal Minds Family: When I called in my monthly contribution to Kim Harrison's Aids Marathon today, I asked them how Kim's total was stacking up against the other runners. We're doing great raising donations for Kim but she is $1,868 behind the leader (who is running and works on another show). Criminal Minds beat "Lost" and we beat "Private Practice" and we really can beat whoever this person is. When Kim runs her marathon wearing her Criminal Minds headband, she should do so as the leader in donations. I would say she should also be number one across the finish line but that is a VERY long marathon and just finishing it will be a triumph.

We have a winner for the donation auction from last week for the handcuffs and we will announce that person's name on Deb Fisher's birthday since that is the date we used in the contest.

Lets kick it up one more notch and get our Criminal Minds runner into first place! Andrew Wilder's birthday is on August 19th and he has been "Lucky" for us before so lets use his birthday as our next benchmark. By August 19th lets have Kim in first place. I will call the Aids Marathon office on the morning of AW's birthday and the person who made the donation that put Kim into first place (and lets hope that happens tomorrow) will win this Criminal Minds cap that has been autographed by the Criminal Minds writers!

No donation is too small! The winner of the handcuffs was kind enough to donate $5 and she won! Every dollar helps those who need it most. We can do this!

Nobody beats Criminal Minds (except that Idol show and that doesn't really count)!

CRIMINAL MINDS MODERATORS SAY IT WITH CHOCOLATE & LOTS OF DEAD FLOWERS!

Criminal Minds: The moderators of the Criminal Minds Fanatic message board sent a chocolate birthday card to the CM studio to celebrate all the July birthdays (Thomas Gibson, Kirsten Vangsness, A.J. Cook and Deb Fisher). I used a new floral company to send Kirsten Vangsness, Garcia on Criminal Minds, flowers for her birthday. I forgot to ask this company if they use a local florist and they don't. So lightening over Salt Lake City postponed them, then they offered to also send a fresh batch to arrive today to makeup for the dead flowers she was going to receive and then, if things already weren't screwed up enough, there was a weather problem with the second set and they aren't being delivered until tomorrow. So lets do the math. Birthday was Monday, receiving dead flowers on Wed and another set of dead flowers scheduled for delivery on Thursday. I wasn't happy and this time a local florist was called in by the company, that seems to have the worst weather problems in the history of flowers, and I have been informed that today Kirsten received one dead and one live set of flowers. Tomorrow more dead ones arrive. Luckily Kirsten is a classy lady with a great sense of humor. ;)

So Happy Birthday all week Kirsten. Maybe the props department can use a couple dozen dead roses for an episode. Recycle! Happy Birthday and next year we promise to use a local florist. :)

CRIMINAL MINDS: SO HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT A POSSIBLE SPIN-OFF?

Criminal Minds: Every other google alert for Criminal Minds today deals with the possible Criminal Minds spinoff? So, anyone have any thoughts about the possibility of a second CM?

CRIMINAL MINDS: CHAT INFO AND UPDATES

Criminal Minds: The Criminal Minds Yahoo group and the Criminal Minds Fanatic message board will host a CM chat on Sunday, July 6th at 2pm est. Password is still finale.

The news of a second CM related spin-off is all over the internet. I did email Ed Bernero and he said that when/if he has an announcement to make then he will let us know. I have received literally thousands of emails asking me for info. Sorry but they won't be answered. All news will come from Ed.

Thomas Gibson's birthday is today. Please sign his birthday card. A generic chocolate birthday card has been sent to the studio for all the July birthdays. On Monday Kirsten will receive a colorful basket of roses from the Criminal Minds moderators. Beautiful flowers have also been ordered for A.J. (with a teddy bear for the baby) and for Deb Fisher which will be delivered on their birthdays. I realized that we didn't send Paget flowers on her birthday, so I ordered her a very nice arrangement which an apology. Thank you to the moderators.

The planning committee for the CM convention is scheduled to go to LA in Feb. The convention looks like it will be in June of 2009. I am amazed that you all started this wonderful idea and the amount of people that want to particpate. WOW!

Donations for Kim Harrison's Aids Marathon and the Red Cross have slowed so please open your hearts and wallets and donate if you haven't already and donate again if you already have. The script for "Lucky" is still on auction (a few posts down the blog) and winning that auction would be a great way of owning a CM collectible while donating to worthy charities.

The Criminal Minds Multi-Fandom Assistance Fund blog goes live on Monday with donations from some of the top shows on tv today, as well as from writers, musicians, etc. Check it out on Monday. I am told that new items will be added every week. The goal, I believe, is $25,000 to be donated to the Actors Fund and WGA to assist those still recovering from the WGA strike. Multi-fandoms working together.....who knew it was possible. :) Link is on the blog to the site.

CRIMINAL MINDS: HAPPY BIRTHDAY THOMAS GIBSON!

Criminal Minds: Please join us in wishing Thomas Gibson, Aaron Hotchner on Criminal Minds, a very Happy Birthday!! :)

CRIMINAL MINDS: STRONG OVERNIGHT RATINGS

Criminal Minds scored well in the overnight Nielsen ratings. Criminal Minds starring Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Paget Brewster, Shemar Moore, A.J. Cook, Matthew Gray Gubler and Kirsten Vangsness.

CBS' "Criminal Minds" won the 9 p.m. hour in households with a 6.0/10. "So You Think You Can Dance" (5.6/10) however, still had a slight edge in viewers. A new "Baby Borrowers," 4.2/7, kept NBC in third. A "Supernanny" repeat on ABC scored a 2.6/4, good enough to beat a "Girlicious" rerun on The CW.

CRIMINAL MINDS: SHEMAR MOORE IN TV GUIDE

Criminal Minds: Shemar Moore, Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds, is included in this week's TV Guide in their "Hot Bods" story.

SHEMAR MOORE: 'My friends call me `the beast' in the gym. I like being pushed to my limit.'' The 38-year-old Criminal Minds star has to keep up his membership -- due to a tendency to gain weight in all the wrong places. ``My butt will get bigger. My thighs will get thicker. My face will get chubbier.''

CRIMINAL MINDS: JEFF FAHEY VISITS WITH LUKE PERRY

Criminal Minds: Jeff Fahey will also be guest starring with Luke Perry in Criminal Minds episode "Minimal Loss" written by Andrew Wilder and starring Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Paget Brewster, Shemar Moore, A.J. Cook, Matthew Gray Gubler and Kirsten Vangsness. Two great guest stars in one episode. Sounds like a slam dunk winning episode to me!

CRIMINAL MINDS: ARE WE GETTING A SPIN-OFF?

Criminal Minds: Well this sure is news:

"Executive producer Ed Bernero confirms to me exclusively that "substantive" discussions are currently taking place between CBS and producer ABC Studios to expand the Minds franchise with an offshoot. "It's safe to say there will be something soon," he reveals. "We had talked about it from the beginning, but something always got in the way of it happening… like Mandy [Patinkin] leaving and the strike. But it's definitely gaining momentum now."

A consensus on what an alternate Minds would look like has not yet been reached, but Bernero says they're "looking at all of the things the FBI does and how we can work that into the Criminal Minds world." The idea would likely be introduced during a special episode of Minds to air later this coming season.

The big question, of course, is whether one of the show's current cast will be poached to headline the new series. "I don't think so," Bernero says. "We're very happy with the team we have. On the other hand, it's possible characters could be on both shows… All options are open."

Criminal Minds Joining Other Fandoms To Make A Difference

Criminal Minds: Coming Together To Make A Difference

On Monday, July 7th at 2pm est, the Criminal Minds Fanatic's Assistance Fund Blog will go live in an attempt to raise money for the Actors Fund and the Writers Guild of America. Whether SAG strikes or is locked out or a deal is made is of course a concern, but regardless of whether there is additional labor turmoil, there remains a real need to help those that were adversely affected during the recent Writers Strike. Fans, actors, showrunners, writers, musicians, crew, etc. can work together to help make people financially whole again. Every week dozens of new donated items will be put up for auction. Open your hearts and your wallets for those that need it most and bid high. Open your closets and donate those items that some fan would love to own and you really don't need.

We're All In This Together......Still!

We have cool stuff pledged so far from shows such as Lost, Desperate Housewives, The West Wing, Criminal Minds, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Studio 60, The Daily Show & The Colbert Report. We're receiving donation pledges everyday from new donors.
