FOX rolled to another ratings win Wednesday night, with "American Idol" expanding its results show to an hour and flattening everything in its path.

For the night, FOX earned a 10.6 rating/17 share. CBS, 7.3/12, finished a fairly healthy second. ABC, 4.7/8, edged NBC, 4.4/7, for third, and The CW took fifth with a 2.9/5.

FOX also led among adults 18-49, scoring a 7.0 rating in the key demographic for advertisers. ABC and CBS tied for second at 3.0, and The CW (2.2) managed to sneak ahead of NBC (2.1).

CBS' "Jericho" led a lackluster 8 p.m. field with a 5.3/9. The season finale of "'Til Death" on FOX drew a 5.0/8. A pair of "George Lopez" episodes, 4.1/7, tied with NBC's "Friday Night Lights" season finale for third (ABC had a small lead in total viewers). "America's Next Top Model," 3.6/6, was fifth overall for The CW but second in adults 18-49.

At 9 p.m., the expanded "Idol" results delivered a 16.2/25, jumping substantially in the second half-hour. CBS took second with "Criminal Minds," 8.3/13. NBC held steady with "Crossing Jordan," 4.1/6, while ABC dropped to fourth with "According to Jim," 3.2/5, and "In Case of Emergency," 2.4/4. The CW reran "The Search for the Next Doll."

CBS reclaimed the top spot at 10 p.m. thanks to "CSI: NY," 8.5/14. "Lost" earned a 7.1/12 for ABC, and NBC's "Medium" posted a 5.1/8.

"I was DJ'ing for AIDS Project Los Angeles' Oscar After-Party and who should I find dancing in front of the DJ booth........ ..none other than our beloved Miss Vangsness! I sent one of my friends over to let her know I wanted to say "Hi" and she came right over. She looked gorgeous in a beautiful retro-style black & white polka-dot party dress. She seemed genuinely surprised when I told her how much I loved her on the show, and that I thought she was the best thing on it! And let me tell you......... ..this girl LOVES TO DANCE! It was such a treat. She was kind enough to take a picture with me and here it is! Viva la Vangsness!"

CRIMINAL MINDS: THE SHOW DESERVES TO BE IN "VANITY FAIR"

"Vanity Fair" magazine publishes wonderful multi page articles on both movies and tv shows. Criminal Minds has never been featured or even mentioned for that matter. It was suggested to me that the reason was that Criminal Minds is not a "sexy" show and therefore would never be considered. I understand that in our society sex does sell but I would also like to believe that quality does as well. When I returned home from my trip to the set I sent a group email to my college buddies and asked them to email Vanity Fair and to ask their friends and family to also email them. At last count the group has been responsible for over 100 emails being sent in. Here is the address if you would also like to email the magazine. There is need to send a long email. Criminal Minds "Honor Among Thieves" will air on Wednesday April 11, 2007. Elizabeth Prentiss (Kate Jackson), a foreign ambassador and SSA Emily Prentiss' mother, seeks the aid of the BAU when a Russian immigrant is kidnapped and held for ransom. Starring: Mandy Patinkin, Shemar Moore, Thomas Gibson, Matthew Gray Gubler, Paget Brewster, A.J. Cook and Kirsten Vangsness. Written by Aaron Zelman, who was also the Co-Executive Producer of the episode, and directed by Jesus Trevino. I was given this script on my visit to the set and it is brilliant. Aaron Zelman wrote an incredible episode which is no surprise since he has written some of the very best episodes of the series to date: "Poison", "Won't Get Fooled Again", "Machismo" and "Psychodrama". Please trust me when I say that "Honor Among Thieves" is even better.

CRIMINAL MINDS: "NO WAY OUT, PART TWO"

Criminal Minds will air "No Way Out, Part Two" on Wednesday May 16, 2007. This time it's personal when Gideon's (Mandy Patinkin) girlfriend is murdered by his nemesis Frank, an elusive and prolific serial killer. Gideon takes off to hunt Frank without
telling the BAU and the team must profile Gideon as a suspect in order to find them both. Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Keith Carradine reprises his role as the sadistic serial killer, and Golden Globe Award winner Amy Madigan ("Carnivale" ) returns as Jane, the small town outcast who is seduced by the madman.
