Pictured above is Barry Hatchett, one of the great Set Decorators for Criminal Minds. The wall of pictures we see in many scenes on the show are pictures of the writers and crew of the show. Barry was happy to pose in front of his picture. :)
My, he looks so very official in his official portrait. They must have had a great time that day. I hope he gets a copy to take home.
But ... if you zoom in and read about the agent pictured being shot and killed, it gets a little eerie.
I think the set decorators do an awesome job. It's really unbelievable the stuff they don't miss ... and they don't get enough credit, because we don't notice what's there unless it isn't.
These people all seem to be so much fun and I really respect that about them. I love the show and it makes it even better that they are so close to one another.
I think it's interesting that they show us that wall so often. It's an awesome way to show off the crew, of course. And of course it reinforces the sense of risk in the show.
I will watch for the wall as well and it will always remind me of the kindness that they all showed you which was really a kindness to all of us. I like to look at the little things. The first time I watch an episode I just watch the story and when I watch again I see the details. This will be a detail I am going to love to look for.
Thats awesome! Noone notices it much, and then you tell us, and now that wall is like... my hero! Haha, those people are all amazing, and definitly deserve a wall! =]
Way too funny. What a cool way to make the props meaningful to the people who work there.
ReplyDeleteI agree. This is very cool!

(Okay, it made sense to ME at one time ... )
This fascinates me. I don't know why, but it does. How neat to find this out. I always assumed they hired face models.

It is the wall of fallen heroes. :)
ReplyDeletethat must be so much fun for the crew and the writers.
ReplyDeleteI bet their families get so excited trying to spot them.

That would be so cool for their families to constantly see them on the show since we have seen this wall many times in episodes.
ReplyDeleteThey're more of the 'unsung heroes', those essential for a top quality programme but not usually seen.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's so lovely.
ReplyDeleteHave to watch out for the wall the next time - must admit, I didn't realized it until today. :-S

ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea!! They all get to be used as "wall decorations". Isn't that everyon's dream?
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious, it's funny how easily they are passed of as well-known official FBI people. ;-) Very nice posing on behalf of all of them!
ReplyDeleteYou even got him to pose. He was a human prop. Loving this. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou guys covered it well..this is cool. He even looks like a really nice guy.
ReplyDeleteNow he can put Set Decorator and Human Prop on his resume. lol
ReplyDeleteI think it might be a bit creepy to be part of this Wall of the Fallen. I think it's great that they use the crew for these shots.
ReplyDeleteI am going to look for him everytime we see the wall again in an episode. Very fun.
ReplyDeleteI already pay attention to everything in every episode and now I will add this to my list and always smile because of your pics.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine us all posting after a episode that we saw him.
ReplyDeleteThis is just precious and very cute. I love how he has assumed the regal postion. What a great behind the scenes picture.
ReplyDeleteEven this shows how much fun they all are.
