MANDY PATINKIN
Jason Gideon in "Criminal Minds"
Mandy Patinkin has a distinguished background in film, theater and television. He won an Emmy Award for his portrayal of Dr. Jeffrey Geiger in the television series "Chicago Hope," on CBS. His other television credits include the series "Dead Like Me," the television movies "Everything That Rises," "Strange Justice," "The Hunchback," "Broken Glass," and guest appearances on the series "Law & Order," "Boston Public" and "Touched by an Angel," on the Network.
His feature film credits include the recently completed independent film "The Choking Man," "Pinero," "The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland," "Lulu on the Bridge," "Men with Guns," "Squanto: Indian Warrior," "The Music of Chance," "Impromptu," "The Doctor," "True Colors," "Dick Tracy," "The House on Carroll Street," "Alien Nation," "The Princess Bride," "Maxie," "Yentl," "Daniel" and "Ragtime."
Patinkin won a Tony Award for his portrayal of "Che" in the Broadway production of "Evita." He was also nominated for a Tony Award for the role of "George," in "Sunday in the Park with George" as well as the role of "Burrs" in "The Wild Party." Other theater credits include "The Secret Garden," "Falsettos," "The Knife," "Leave it to Beaver is Dead" and "The Shadow Box." He has recorded several albums and tours extensively throughout the world.
Patinkin currently lives in New York City.
