  26. i could write a list a mile long here! is it just me, or has music in S4 being extremely under-utilized? hopefully they use bunches in S5! excellant groups would be coldplay (a rush of blood to the head, amsterdam, x&y, life in technicolor ii, lovers in japan, viva la vida, prospekt's march, death and all his friends, shiver, spies, everything's not lost, fix you, in my place, etc), death cab for cutie (cath, a lack of color, passenger seat, grapevine fires, transatlanticism), U2 (i still havent found what i'm looking for, peace on earth, van deimen's land, one tree hill, beautiful day, your blue room, stuck in a moment, city of blinding lights), snow patrol (set fire to the third bar, make this go on forever, chasing cars, run, the lightning strike) to name a few. good singles are: three little birds by bob marley, your song by elton john, human by the killers, eleanor rigby by the beatles, creep by radiohead, dramamine by modest mouse, and every breath you take by the police. :)

U2 - With or Without You, Zoo Station, Party Girl, Stay (Faraway, So Close!), Staring at the Sun, Sunday Bloody Sunday

The Who - You Better You Bet, Behind Blue Eyes (most people don't think Pete Townshend wrote this song, so they call Fred Durst a genius)

The Ting Tings - Keep Your Head, We Walk, Shut Up and Let Me Go, We Started Nothing

Muse - Time is Running Out, Starlight

Jason Mraz - Make it Mine, Love For a Child, I'm Yours, Lucky

  45. What if Thomas Gibson (Agent Hotchner) were found singing "I wanna rock-n-roll all night and part of every day"? Pls tell me other people saw this on Dharma and Greg!!!!!!!

Serious, I have a great idea for a serial killer - someone using historic fiction as his inspiration - recreating murders found in Victorian fiction - there are a ton of novels that were published between 1830 and 1901 that have really juicy murders, and those would be really cool for a serial killer to recreate.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I'd love to hear some Mark Lanegan, PJ Harvey or the Afghan Whigs.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I would love to hear some more punk or grunge music. Oh, especially riot grrl music. Bikini Kill, the Dead Kennedys, Alice in Chains, that sort of music. It all tends to be rather dark, with a driving beat. I love that kind of music, and I think it makes for awesome background music in fight scenes, chases and such. It tends to be underused in TV, despite the fact that, due to the wall-of-sound nature of the songs, this kind of music can blend quite easily into the background, becoming ambient noise that it's really quite easy to hear the actors and sound effects over.

  58. I have to give credit for this one to Mnemosphere, but someone from the show really needs to listen to "A & B Song" by Tom McRae. It is perfect, and I mean PERFECT for the show - on so many levels.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Keane: A Bad Dream, Atlantic, Hamburg Song, Crystal Ball.

Kings of Leon: Manhattan. And especially Cold Desert. I love that song to death, and I think it would fit the show perfectly. :)

M.I.A.: Paper Planes. It's kind of a more contemporary feel than I think the show aims for, but it could work.

Coldplay: A lot have been said :), but I haven't seen A Whisper and Postcards From Far Away.

U2: Once again, lot's said. :) but The Wanderer would be just perfect. And Johnny Cash's vocals and The Edge and Bono singing backup are so haunting, and powerful all at once.

John Lennon: Give Peace A Chance. It would be a good song to end a case on.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Missed some :p

U2: Miss Sarajevo, Your Blue Room, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, One Tree Hill.
