  2. 'The Fox' was so intense. Gideon catching the baby and the pile of wedding rings falling out of the box onto the table during the ending. Scary episode. Could happen to any family. This one stuck with me.

  3. P911- Loved Katie and the story itself was so different. Selling kids. The race to rescue that poor boy and the looks on the team's faces when the timer showed that the auction had ended. Morgan hurling the pervert. Awesome episode. Garcia and the badges. Loved this episode!

  4. "Riding the Lightning" is not just my favorite episode of Mr. Mirren's. It's my favorite CM episode, period.

Thank you, Simon! So far, I've used that episode to covert upwards of fifteen people to the show, and it hasn't failed yet!

  5. NWO-1:

Mirren must have been looking into a crystal ball...

'This is Derek Morgan and the guy who sometimes forgets his manners is Jason Gideon.'- sorry for the Patinkin reference. Couldn't help myself. The line seems prophetic given the crap Patinkin pulled when he dumped the show and us.

Frank was a very interesting unsub. Carradine was an incredible guest star.

This is still one of my favorite episodes. Definately in the top 5.

    Garcia to JJ...'Ow! Stabby!'

  6. My top 3 episodes of CM are "LDSK", "Riding the Lightning" and "The Big Game".

"Riding the Lightning" made me cry. When they found Sarah Jean's son and were waiting for Gideon to decide what he wanted to do it seemed like a lifetime. Watching Hotch slap Riley's picture up on the glass so Jacob would die knowing that he had lost was a remarkable scene. I balled like a baby.

  7. Riding the Lightening was unique and very affective. The others mentioned were all very good, too.

I wish I could write. It seems like it would be a very satisfying thing to do.

  8. The Fox and Riding the Lightning both stand out to me as amazing episodes. Both were haunting.

  9. "Riding the Lightning" is my favorite. I love this episode but I have a hard time watching it because it's just so gut-wrenching. It's one of the most moving episodes of the series and I cry at the end everytime.

  10. Riding the Lightning, for sure. I actually just watched this episode again last night! Sarah Jean protected her son until the end. I loved the scenes with Hotch, JJ, & Jacob. Incredible writing.

  11. Simon is a great writer, but I'll choose "P911" for this one. I loved it. And can I just say that Simon is FUNNY. The guy is a jokester and he cracks me up!

  12. I agree with Pamela. "The Fox" was intense. The creep factor was at an all time high with the unsub and the rings in the box.

I was glad to have the unsub's identity only revealed after the profiling was done. It justified the need for profilers. Great episode!

  16. OMG!! I must say "Riding The Lighting" "I get so emotional" when I found out Sarah Jean was really innocent better yet thats when I first started watching the show and my mom and I got in to it about a "new cop show on CBS" and she argue me down, "NO!, its a really good show you must watch it Shemar is in it!" and I'm like what NOOOOO! thats even terrible! but then I saw poor SARAH jEAN AND was like OMG! GIDEON SAVE HER!!

  17. Um, can I pick them all? I think Riding the Lightening is my facorite all time episode. Sarah Jean was so empathetic, sad, and wonderful all at the same time and Jacob was just do darned evil.

  18. I liked "The Fox". When Gideon upsets the box, and all the rings fell out was shocking.

I also liked P911. When they opened the crate, and the kid was there it was such a relief. At the end, when his mom gets there to see him, and he says his soldier guy, had the same name as her, I was in tears.

  19. Loved his guest spot on MGG's and AS's Unauthorized Documentaries...

  20. "Riding the Lightning"
    Hotch: "Riley. You loose."
    Jacob: "No!" (through grit teeth)

    "The Fox"
Reid's interrogation of the big scary black guy. He looked like he was going to wet himself.

  22. My favorite points?
Riding the Lightning, It's so easy and so hard to see the two sides of Sarah Jean's choice - what would I do for my child? I mean it's easy to say yes, I'd die to save my child's life, but to really stop and think, would I die to keep my child happy? Heartbreaking choice. And it estabishes that a win isn't always a win, and a loss isn't always a loss. And the team doesn't get a clean win every time.
I also think that one moment has added to the tension of the entire series - they don't always win, will they this time?

  23. One of the things I liked about "Lightning" was how well it illustrated that even with a legal conviction, there is frequently "more to the story". Peoples' "normal" thought & decisions making processes are so complex. Then add criminal minds on top--and you get wild twists in the story! Great job Simon!

  24. Riding the Lightning because the ending was so unexpected and yet so fitting for that episode.

The Fox for the all round general creepiness - and the exchange between Reid and Garcia about hacking into the Government Database.

  25. Love The Fox the best but all of his episodes are totally great.

  26. Nobody wrote a better Gideon than Simon Mirren. I loved 'Riding the Lightning' and also 'The Fox'. Great writing.

  27. No Way Out is one of the best episodes so far because it left you wanting so much more and it held your attention and made you try to figure Frank out the whole time.

  28. NWO-2, Loved seeing Frank again. Killing the survivors. Cold blooded. Great epi!

  29. Totally great episodes. All of them. Simon writes some of the best silent sequences of the series. Words spoken with only their eyes. Kudos!

  30. 'Riding the Lightning" is my very favorite CM episode. I loved every second of it!

  31. I like P911 - good story combined with a great guest star.
But No Way Out I + II blew me away. The story and the actors were awesome and could not be chosen better.
I really don't dare to watch those eps in German because most of them loose so much in the translation.

  32. I loved the Fox. The idea of a health care pro that you trust with your family's secrets using that info to stalk and kill you is totally freaky and scary.
