Criminal Minds: Good News!

National ratings for Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006

Strong performances by "Criminal Minds" and "CSI:NY" repeats gave CBS the easy ratings victory on Wednesday night.

CBS averaged a 6.2 rating/11 share for the night. FOX finished second with a 4.3/7. ABC, 3.9/7, came in third, and NBC was fourth at 2.5/4. The CW only managed a 1.0/2.

Adults 18-49 also flocked to CBS, which averaged a 2.8 in the demo, followed by ABC, 2.2, FOX, 2.1, NBC, 1.2, and the CW, 0.6.

CBS began with a comfortable lead at the 8 o'clock hour with a combo of "The King of Queens" and "Two and a Half Men" repeats averaging a 5.1/9. FOX's first hour of a repeat "Bones" brought a 4.4/8, while a double shot of "George Lopez" earned ABC a 3.1/6. Over on NBC, "Friday Night Lights" took in a 2.6/5, while the CW trailed with its "One Tree Hill" rerun taking a 1.0/2.

The second hour looked much like the first. CBS' "Criminal Minds" earned a 6.5/11 at 9 p.m., while FOX's second hour of "Bones" took in a 4.2/7. On ABC, more "George Lopez" continued with a 3.2/6, while NBC's "Friday Night Lights" followed with a 2.3/4. Once again, the CW posted a 1.0/2 for another repeat of "One Tree Hill."

At 10 p.m., "CSI: NY" drew the night's biggest audience with an 6.9/13. ABC's "Primetime: Basic Instincts" was second with a 5.1/9, while NBC trailed with its final "Friday Night Lights," 2.5/5 for the evening.
