CRIMINAL MINDS: KIRSTEN VANGSNESS TALKS ABOUT THE WRITERS STRIKE.

Criminal Minds: Kirsten Vangsness, Penelope Garcia on Criminal Minds, had this to say in an interview regarding the writers strike: "she gets why some actors may resent the striking writers. "It does seem like, 'Shut the hell up. [Writers] make scads of money....' But at the same time...I know fantastic writers who maybe get one script bought once [in a] blue moon, and besides that, they're just working, and they're incredibly middle-class, probably more like lower-middle-class," said Vangsness, who has been walking the picket lines and attended the SAG-sponsored "Actor Day on the WGA Picket Lines" Nov. 13 at Universal Studios.

Vangsness and the Criminal Minds crew are shooting their last script, Episode 12. "I work tomorrow [Nov. 14] and that's it. I don't know when I go back," she said. The production company, Touchstone Television, a division of Disney, hasn't announced its plans regarding the show.

CRIMINAL MINDS PARTIAL ADVERTISERS LIST FOR "LUCKY"

Criminal Minds: I watch Criminal Minds on CBS. The writers are on strike now. My name is ___. I live in ______ and I thought you might like to know that I am boycotting your products until the writers strike is over since you advertise on network tv. I will also be encouraging everyone that I know or I meet to boycott your products until the strike is over. If you want to keep my business you will need to let CBS and all the major networks know that you are pulling your ads. You can either break your contracts with them and lose that money or lose the money you make from consumers. The choice is yours and I thank you for your time.

CRIMINAL MINDS FANS FIND MORE WAYS TO HELP THE WRITERS.

Criminal Minds: Here are some awesome new examples of action being taken by the fans of Criminal Minds. Louisa in Boston works at a church that has a membership automatic phone message system. She received permission to tape a message about the strike which included the phone numbers for Disney and CBS and then it was automatically sent to all the members of her church. Great action plan Louisa! Janet, a student at Baylor, read what I posted about the efforts at Penn State and yesterday night they duplicated the plan. They made flyers with Apple's phone numbers on it and papered all the cars throughout campus and posted them in every building and in every dorm. No more I-Tune dowloads till the strike is over. Lets keep it up everyone and if you could take pictures for me to post of your efforts that would wonderful. Lets show Disney and CBS that we are united with the writers, we mean business and we are shutting down their money flow!

CRIMINAL MINDS NIELSEN RATINGS FOR THE WEEK ENDING NOVEMBER 11TH aka CBS' CASH COW SHOW WRITERS ON STRIKE!

Criminal Minds: Nelda from Rhode Island emailed me asking why I have not posted last week's ratings for Criminal Minds yet. I'm enormously proud of how well Criminal Minds has done in the ratings this season. The show has always scored well but this season it has really made leaps. It is hard to find joy in that now since CBS is making soooooo much money off of this show and yet they are bleeding our writers. Millions of viewers translates into millions of dollars being made in ad revenue by the networks. Simple fact. Corporate greed at it's worst. But here are the Nielsen Ratings for the week ending November 1, 2007.
1. CSI (CBS)
2. Without A Trace (CBS)
3. Dancing with the Stars - Mon (ABC)
4. Grey's Anatomy (ABC)
5. Desperate Housewives (ABC)
6. House (FOX)
7. NCIS (CBS)
8. Sunday Night Football (NBC)
9. Dancing with the Stars - Tues (ABC)
10. CMA Awards (ABC)
11. Extreme Makeover (ABC)
12. Survivor (CBS)
13. Criminal Minds (CBS)
14. CSI: Miami (CBS)
15. Two and a Half Men (CBS)
16. 60 Minutes (CBS)
17. CSI: NY (CBS)
18. Samantha Who? (ABC)
19. Cold Case (CBS)
20. Brothers & Sisters (ABC)

CRIMINAL MINDS WRITERS STRIKE WHILE WE ENJOY NEW EPISODES!

Criminal Minds: Last night's episode "Lucky" was great. Having Criminal Minds writers Deb Fisher and Andrew Wilder join us in the chat room after the airing was fantastic. Jay Beattie tried to join us too but there was a chat room snafu. I hope we get to speak with him soon in chat. All these things are cause for celebration among Criminal Minds fans but we need to remember that these writers are on strike. We are going to run out of episodes soon. We are going to be thrown into the rerun season from hell. CBS will strike down the set soon and call Season 3 over! Are you ready for that? Call CBS and tell them you want our writers back in the writers room NOW. This is a critical time. Take Action!

CRIMINAL MINDS STAR PAGET BREWSTER WALKS THE LINE!

Criminal Minds star Paget Brewster, pictured here with Simon Mirren, walked the picket line in support of the Criminal Minds writers today. Thanks to Paget for being a team player and for your wonderful portrayal of Emily Prentiss on the show. We hope to have you back to work real soon!

CRIMINAL MINDS OVERNIGHT RATINGS FOR "LUCKY".

Criminal Minds: The overnight ratings for Criminal Minds episode "Lucky" written by Andrew Wilder and starring Kirsten Vangsness, Paget Brewster, A.J.Cook, Matthew Gray Gubler, Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson and Shemar Moore, were great:

"Criminal Minds" was the night's biggest draw, pulling in 15.7 million. ABC's "Private Practice" finished second in the 9 p.m. slot with 11.4 million. Fox's "Kitchen Nightmares" fascinated nearly 7 million. NBC's "Bionic Woman" continued to lose strength; the show attracted 6.3 million. The CW's "Gossip Girl" had 2.9 million talking.

CRIMINAL MINDS WRITERS WANT TO CHAT TOO.

Criminal Minds: Several writers from Criminal Minds will be joining us in the chat room this evening after Criminal Minds "Lucky" airs. The chat will begin at 10pm est. There is a new password for the chat room. Please email Stacy for it: slashgirl@gmail.com. I am not going to tell you which writers are planning on joining us but I will give you a hint: one of the writers will be interested in what you thought of tonight's episode. Please refrain from typing over one another and don't ask them for spoilers. Enjoy!

CRIMINAL MINDS FANS MAKE A DIFFERENCE ONE CALL AT A TIME.

Criminal Minds fans are working the phones and sending emails in an attempt to help end the Writers Strike and get the Criminal Minds writing staff back to work. If you are tempted to do nothing because you believe that one person can't make a difference then I would like to share a portion of the speech that Robert F. Kennedy delivered in South Africa on their day of Affirmation:

"Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."

Everytime you make a phone call or send an email you do send forth a ripple of hope!

CRIMINAL MINDS FANS BECOME CREATIVE!

Criminal Minds writers have some very creative fans. Here are some suggestions emailed to me this morning from some of the fans of Criminal Minds. Elaine called her local CBS affiliate and told them she is not going to watch their local or national programming until the Criminal Minds writers are back at their desk. She also emailed her feeling about the strike to all her local newspapers. Leslie started an email campaign on her college campus targeting Apple Itunes in which she told them that the students at Penn State would not be buying any music or tv shows from them until the writers strike is over. Rose walked through the largest shopping mall in her city and handed out flyers with the network contact info on it and explaining the strike. Keep sharing your ideas. We can make a difference. We have to!

CRIMINAL MINDS WRITER ANDREW WILDER WALKS THE LINE.

Criminal Minds: Andrew Wilder, writer of Criminal Minds episodes: L.D.S.K., The Tribe, North Mammon, Ashes & Dust and tonight's episode Lucky, stands on the picket line instead of working in the Criminal Minds writers room. Call CBS at 212-975-4545 and tell them that we want the writers back where they belong!

CRIMINAL MINDS WITH A TWIST.

Criminal Minds: A typical Wednesday of watching a first run Criminal Minds episode is followed by the posting of the songs and quotes used. Tonight we will be adding a new feature on the Criminal Minds Fanatic blog. We are going to make that post interactive. I'll post the quotes and songs and all of us will comment with the names of the products being advertised during the episode. Then I will take that information and dig up the email addresses and phone numbers for those companies so we can all call them and let them know what we think of this strike. CALL CBS: 212-975-4545

CRIMINAL MINDS WRITERS APPRECIATE THEIR FANS!

Criminal Minds: Writers Andrew Wilder, Oanh Ly, and Deb Fisher holding a message for the fans of Criminal Minds. Our writers are so talented and so sweet. Ed, look at Deb holding an apple. Andrew's episode "Lucky" airs tonight. Please remember to watch the episode and then join us in the chat room to discuss it. Hi Oanh! I love the signs. Head in a Box is definately a Criminal Minds staple. Andrew, you're off the hook for the stunt you pulled today. Everyone please remember to follow the Criminal Minds Strike Plan and lets get our writers back in the writers' room. We love them and they love us! :)

CRIMINAL MINDS QUESTION FOR EDWARD ALLEN BERNERO.

Criminal Minds: Writer and Co-Executive Producer of Criminal Minds Chris Mundy is quoted in an AP article as saying he has started a novel. "It's fun to write prose again," Mundy said. "But I'd rather be back at work with a fair deal than have time to write a novel." Reading the article I couldn't help wonder if all the writers couldn't just write a Criminal Minds novel? Each writer could write a different story. We don't have to call them scripts. We can call them novels. If the strike doesn't end very soon they could make a fortune with these "novels" from all the fans needing a Criminal Minds fix. What do you think Ed? If the answer is no would you consider allowing the writers to come into the chat room and just read us some stories? Fellow fans, I am only half laughing. If we don't reach out and do what we can to stop this strike soon we are going to enter a rerun hell worse than during hiatus and we all remember how much we enjoyed that.

CRIMINAL MINDS STAR THOMAS GIBSON WALKS THE LINE.

Criminal Minds star Thomas Gibson, Aaron Hotchner, walked the picket line today with the writers of Criminal Minds. Way to stand by the writers Thomas! I hope all of Thomas Gibson's fans are busy writing letters, sending emails and faxing so we can get him back infront of the cameras soon and Criminal Minds back on track!

CRIMINAL MINDS WRITERS STICK TOGETHER.

The writers of Criminal Minds wanted me to send all the fans of the show a big thank you for all the support they are receiving. Kris delivered muffins, donut holes and fruit today to our Criminal Minds strikers. I posted the other day that I didn't think writers would want fruit but Ed Bernero shot me an email letting me know that writers did indeed enjoy fruit. According to Kris they were happier with the fruit than the sweets. Ed Bernero is right again...that is hardly a surprise. I spoke with Andrew Wilder, Deb Fisher and Erica Messer and they loved all the food and are so appreciative of all the fans and everything that everyone is doing to get them back to work. Some of our other talented writers were also there and they are all working together on the line like they did in the writers room. Lets keep calling, faxing and emailing and get them back inside that room soon.

On a personal note it was brought to my attention last week by Shawn that Simon Mirren had written an episode with a character named "Jill". I was assured today that "Jill" is not some psycho, wacko, fire loving, child killing unsub. Thank you Simon. Also, Andrew Wilder thought it would be fun to have Kris play a joke on me and tell me that they were not there and he could not find them. I freaked until I heard them all laughing in the background. I had a bit to say to him about it but he was still laughing and that is a good thing. So the score is Andrew Wilder 1 and Jill Davidson 0....for now!

CRIMINAL MINDS WRITER & CO-EXECUTIVE PRODUCER CHRIS MUNDY WALKS THE LINE.

Criminal Minds' writer Chris Mundy (pictured here with Kris Campbell) has written an impressive body of Criminal Minds episodes: Revelations, Sex Birth Death, Aftermath, A Real Rain, In Birth and Death, Doubt and the upcoming Penelope that fans have been waiting for with baited breath. Chris Mundy should be busy writing more scripts and not walking a picket line. Take action. Lets get our show back!

CRIMINAL MINDS: SIMON MIRREN & KRIS CAMPBELL.

Criminal Minds: Simon Mirren, writer of "The Fox", "Riding the Lightning", "Secrets & Lies", "P911", "No Way Out" and "No Way Out, Two" and Co-Executive Producer of Criminal Minds with Kris Campbell, extra in "North Mammon" and "Honor Among Thieves" on the Writers Strike picket line. Every day that goes by without the writers getting a contract moves us one day closer to not being able to salvage the third season of Criminal Minds. Simon Mirren doesn't belong on a picket line. Nobody does. He belongs at his desk writing new wonderful episodes of Criminal Minds. Please take a moment to sign this petition.

http://www.petitiononline.com/WGA/petition.html

CRIMINAL MINDS: ANDI BUSHELL & THE GRUESOME TWOSOME!

Criminal Minds: Andi Bushell, writer of Jones, The Boogeyman and Seven Seconds, and the "Gruesome Twosome" as the crew likes to refer to Deb Fisher & Erica Messer. Hard to believe that these sweet looking women were able to crossover to the dark side and write: The Last Word, The Perfect Storm, Charm & Harm, Unfinished Business, Natural Born Killer and Scared to Death.

Talented writers like these three women belong in the Criminal Minds writers' room and not on a picket line. Call CBS and Disney and tell them to give our writers a fair deal.

CRIMINAL MINDS WRITERS NEED TO BE HOLDING EMMY AWARDS & NOT SIGNS.

Criminal Minds: Writers Chris Mundy, Deb Fisher and Erica Messer deserve Emmy Awards for their writing and not strike signs. Call CBS & Disney and tell them you want the writers of Criminal Minds to be given a fair contract and you want them back at work. Thank you to Kris Campbell for delivering pizza to them today for us and for letting them know that we stand with them in their fight!!

CRIMINAL MINDS WRITERS WALK THE LINE.

Criminal Minds: Instead of being hard at work writing new episodes of Criminal Minds our writers have been forced to walk a picket line. This is not where the writers of Criminal Minds, or any tv show or movie, belong!
