CRIMINAL MINDS: THE OVERNIGHT NUMBERS LOOK GREAT.

Criminal Minds did very well last night according to Mediaweek.CBS moved into the winner’s circle at 9 p.m. care of Criminal Minds, which scored a healthy 9.8/16 in the overnights. As predicted, the absence of Mandy Patinkin has not negatively impacted the series. Second in the hour was ABC’s still promising Private Practice (8.0/12), which built by 19 percent out of Pushing Daisies and is expected to win the hour among adults 18-49. But NBC’s Bionic Woman continues to lose steam, with a series-low 6.0/10. Particularly negative for Bionic Woman was a loss of 10 percent in the second half hour (6.3/10 to 5.7/ 9). The song was also used recently in the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy.

CRIMINAL MINDS EPISODE CONTEST.

Criminal Minds: Thanks to a generous Criminal Minds benefactor I am in possession of a couple of extra sets of Season Two, Region One, Criminal Minds dvds. There is currently an awesome Criminal Minds contest being hosted by Sherlockette in the Criminal Minds website group. I think we need to also throw a blog contest to celebrate how well the show is doing in the ratings this season. We always knew that our show was top ten material!

Here is the contest: Watch Criminal Minds on Wednesday and email me at displacednewyorker@gmail.com with the first and last line spoken in the episode by Hotchner, Morgan, Reid, Garcia, J.J. and Emily. To make it fair for those of you who have to wait a few days to watch the episode, the contest will run until midnight est on Sunday. CRIMINAL MINDS: GETTING READY FOR JOE MANTEGNA.

Criminal Minds: We have a couple more Criminal Minds episodes before we see Rossi join the BAU. I have spent some time reading interviews Mr. Mantegna has given over the years. I have also had some exciting emails from people who are working with him now and adore him. I am really getting exciting to see him on Criminal Minds. From the articles I have read it would seem that he is a very pizza loving, family oriented and laid back man. The interviews in which he discusses his autistic daughter and how his familiy adapted to her special needs were inspiring. Plainly put, he sounds like a really nice man.
