CRIMINAL MINDS WRITERS ARE BEING GIVEN THE FINGER BY THE MOUSE!

Criminal Minds writers Debra J Fisher & Erica Messer are our "gruesome twosome" and they deserve more respect for their exceptional writing for Criminal Minds then Disney is showing them. Please CALL CBS: 212-975-4545 and DISNEY: 818-560-1000 and tell them you want the Criminal Minds writers back in the writers room. Also, please remind Disney that over 200 loyal employees that have worked so hard to give them a top 10 show are out of work thanks to them and you find that disgusting. You might also want to tell them just how cranky you are going to be when we run out of new episodes.

  1. After sitting in on the chat wednesday I am making even more calls. Deb & Erica are so nice. This strike is so stupid. Writers deserve to make more than the actors. They are more important.

  2. I wasn't in the chat room but will be able to attend this weekend. Even if we didn't already know who the writers are this strike makes no sense. Free work? No way Jose.

  3. Disney sucks. I hope their stock bottoms out.

  4. I love her sign. Disney has so much money. How greedy can one company be?

  5. Sharing the profits with the writers seems like a no brainer to me but I am only 20. I guess greed must set in at age 30 or when you grow a tail.

  6. F- the mouse. Disney sucks. No question about that. CBS sucks too. I love calling CBS. I am cordial and respectful but I let them know just how bad I think they suck.

  7. Even though I can't participate in person (being in Texas), I do support you whole-heartedly. You guys do great work and inspire all of us who are working toward WGA status.

  8. As much as I'll miss Criminal Minds when there are no new scripts, I'll still be here, ready to watch again, once you finally get a reasonable contract and new episodes resume.

And while you won't be losing me as a viewer, the same can not be said for the network. Once the scripts run out, I'll be tuning out. I certainly won't be watching any of their unscripted filler shows.

Best of luck to you, and all of the writers, and thanks for bringing us such an incredibly well-written show!

  9. Great sign Erica and Deb.

You know how there are events that you always remember where you were when you heard about them? I mean like the Challenger explosion and 911. Well, for me, one of those events was the day Walt Disney died. He was a true visionary. While I know he was far from a perfect person, I'm glad he's not here to see what his company has become. He'd be turning over in his grave.

Writers, hang in there. Surely this insanity is temporary. Maybe the members of the AMPTP have been kidnapped by aliens and replaced with cloned zombies while the aliens study their brains---and they'll send them back when they can't find any. Or, maybe the AMPTP's supply of Prozac is just on backorder and will be delivered soon. Maybe that's what we should be sending them instead of pencils! :)

Okay, never mind. I've returned to this planet now...(bangs head on desk)

  10. The fans of Criminal Minds really hold all of the writers in great esteem in our hearts. I hope that you know that you are not nameless workers in a corporate cog. We take pride in the work that you do writing such a wonderful show. You have both our deepest thanks and our total loyalty.

  11. The gals can count on me. I am calling and emailing. I have no intention of buying any dvds or going out to the movies until the strike is over. When the new episodes stop airing then my tv is being turned off. Screw the Disney Mouse!

  12. I can't believe the strike has lasted this long. I'm sorry that every writer in the WGA is being under valued like they are. It is really unfortunate.

  13. As somebody else already said, I will still be a CM fan when this is over. No matter how long it takes the show isn't going to lose it's audience.

  14. I'm sorry if we lose the rest of the third season but I would rather not have it at all then see the writers get screwed.

Thank you to all the great writers who write for the movies and for tv.

  15. Maybe someone should collect all the lead tainted Disney character toys and pile them up at the studio.

Not only does the company thumb its nose at the writers, it is also doing it to the public, including the kids.

  16. Awesome reminder Sherlockette! I forgot about their tainted toys. Disney is poisoning children, CBS is exploiting children on K-Nation and both companies are f-in the writers.

Lovely! Makes you lose all respect for Mickey, Minnie and Pluto!

  17. I would turn my tv off in a heartbeat if it would help. You bet. Whatever it takes to get this strike settled and the show back on track is a priority with me.

  18. i am so tired of this strike. i no it,s not the writers fault. i wish everyone would go back to there corner and start talking again.. and don,t stop tell they come up a decent plan they both like this has gone on long enough, i want a full season of criminal minds not a half.

  19. Thank you, writers, for giving us such a wonderful, intelligent TV show. You have my support and I'll help any way I can...even if this means no new shows until the greedy studios realize that people who work should get paid.

  20. I love it--missing the point!

Deb, Erica, Andrew, Ed, and all the other CM writers are the best there is and I wholly support them.

It's a good thing I bought Bear's books to give my hubby for Christmas--looks like we will both be in need of reading material come next month because I wouldn't be caught dead watching a reality show!

I will however, be very anxious to see any new CM episodes whenever they start to air them again.

  21. Deb, Erica and the rest of the writers are such good people. I've become friends with them and I feel so bad that this strike has gotten messy.

It's not just a slap in the face to the writers, but to the fans as well. The big networks think their audiences are stupid. They think that we will just watch anything they put on t.v. because we'll be bored with no new shows. That's why it is EXTREMELY important not to watch the reality shows and to tell everyone you know not to as well.

  22. "Don't watch reality shows"
No problem. I've always hated reality shows.

    To the writers,
Thank you for your wonderful example of standing up for one's self and not giving up in the face of adversity. To many times people take the seemingly easy way out and don't think about the long term effects. Don't give up a thing to these greedy weasels or mice.

  23. Hang in there,Deb, Erica, Andrew, Oahn, and all the other wonderful writers! We're still behind you all the way!!!!!!

  24. I wish I could go picket in front of Disney or something, but living on the other side of the country doesn't help much.

I'm going to be participating in the new pencil campaign, and I won't be watching any reality shows. Never liked them anyway.

I will however, be watching reruns of scripted series.

  25. Missing the point - exactly! I'm usually a "sit on the fence, see both sides of the issue" kind of person, but the more I look into this, the more it seems like a no brainer. Even a dinosaur/cyber newbie like me can see that the internet is the future. Long-term, giving the writers a fair part of it results in win win for everyone. It's like the producers are hell bent on chopping off their own feet - I'm baffled. I like the alien kidnapping and brain transplant theory, only anyone capable of interstellar travel would I hope display more sense. Oh well, brushing up on my hobbies for when the well-written TV shows all run out.

  26. It is horrible the way the writers are being treated. It would make me think twice about becoming one if a new contract isn't working out.

  27. I call everyday but lately all I get is voice mail. I leave messages.

  28. I sent another check for 10. I wish it was more. It is a hard time of the year to find spare money. I will try to do another check in a few weeks.
