Criminal Minds: Meeting Kirsten Vangsness, Garcia on Criminal Minds, is pure thrill. She is caring, giving and doesn't have a diva bone in her whole body. If all the actresses working today were more like her I believe the entire entertainment industry would be a better place. There were some funny things that happened with Kirsten that I haven't mentioned before. Not secrets or the like but rather things that just never made it on to the blog. Fun things about my fun time with a classy lady. Before I spill them I would like to hear what you have to say about Kirsten. :)
I adore her but wish she could find the time to blog more!
ReplyDeleteI have never read on any site anyone say that she isn't one of their favorites on the show. She's very cool.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read her blog entries I feel like any one of my friends could have written it and that it is not being written by someone who holds themselves up as a "star" so I really get what you mean when you say that she is not a diva. She is an awesome person and actress.
ReplyDeleteKV is definately one of a kind special.
ReplyDeleteI love her as Garcia. She really is very special. So comedic and yet able to pull off dramatic scenes with perfection.
ReplyDeleteKV rocks!
ReplyDeleteShe is by far my favorite on the show. I love Garcia and I think only Kirsten could play that part. Love her to pieces.
ReplyDeleteI love that she spills food by accident on herself, like I do. I appreciate her honesty and her smile on the show is priceless.
ReplyDeleteGarcia rules. Kirsten rules. Some of my favorite scenes from the show are Kirsten scenes. NWO2 when she is scared in the car waiting for Gideon and starts rambling her own obit. She is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love Garcia I wish I could be more like her
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Garcia moment is when she is trying to get Prince William's phone number from the CIA computer and gets sooooo close and then poof the screen goes black. It was great. Kirsten is fab!
ReplyDeleteHer blog is great. I love her 3 things.
ReplyDeleteGarcia is by far one of the most interesting and charming characters on TV, and Kirsten is absolutely the perfect person to play her. She is totally fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI saw an interview with Kirsten a while back and she seemed like she was not only incredibly nice, but *totally* down to Earth. She also seems to be very enthusiastic and appreciative of her experience with the show and I love reading her blog.
ReplyDeleteGarcia is definitely my favorite character now, as Kirsten plays her perfectly and is always a true pleasure to watch!
She is my hero. Or heroine. Something like that!
ReplyDeleteI can't begin to even think about CM without KV. She brings so much to the show. What enormous talent this young lady has. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteI remember what a thrill it was the first time we saw Garcia at the round table. I remember thinking to myself that it really showed how hard Kirsten had worked to prove herself and how beloved she was by the fans. She really earned that seat.
ReplyDeleteShe is equally talented in the funny and serious scenes. You never know what to expect from Garcia and that shows the wonderful range Kirsten has as an actress.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to know she has grace and heart. I like her as a person and I love her character. I think the people who work with her are very lucky.
ReplyDeleteI want to see her next play. I hated that I did not get to see her last one.
ReplyDeleteShe is our queen of pens. I'm so glad she is on our show and I hope she has a larger part this season.
ReplyDeleteI think Kirsten would be a hoot and a half to spend time with. What fun that would be.
ReplyDeleteKirsten is great. Her blog is great and I hope we get more of it as she has more time during the season.
ReplyDeleteKirsten strikes me as funny and genuine and just totally made of awesome, and I want to be Garcia when I grow up, except I doubt garcia will *ever* grow up. And that is as it should be.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to go shopping with her. I would love for her to help give me a new fresh look. I love the way she dresses.
ReplyDeleteI think she is a pistol. Funny and genuine. What a wonderful combo and I agree that Garcia should/ will never grow up. How boring that would be for us.
ReplyDeleteYou're talking about my favorite tv gal. Love Garcia.
ReplyDeleteKirsten is the First Lady of CM. A bright light. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteReading her new blog entries is sure to always put a smile on your face. She is so much fun.
ReplyDeleteSpecial lady playing a very special part. I bet that Garcia is a great part for the writers to write for. Garcia is so out there and one of a kind.
ReplyDeleteThe lady has class, style, soul and love in her heart. You can feel it in her interviews and in her portrayal of Garcia but mostly you can really feel it in her blog.
ReplyDeleteShe just seems like a really open and fun person to know and have as a friend. Her sunny personality really shines through in her blogs. Looking forward to her next one.
ReplyDeleteFrom the first time her character was introduced, you knew she should be a fulltime member of CM team.
ReplyDeleteI glad that the producers saw fit to do so.
I think she's great! Although I haven't had the pleasure of actually meeting her, she seems like a very warm and friendly person who appreciates the fans.
ReplyDeleteWhen I went to see her in Fat Pig, I waited around hoping to see her, but I never know what to say in those cases, so I stood there wishing I had something worth interrupting her conversation with people who were obviously friends. I'd decided not to interrupt even though I'd come all the way from Cincinnati to see her.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I was talking to my friend who I'd brought with me, and basically explaining the above when I saw Kirsten by herself, looking around, and then she walked by. I flagged her down, and after a really fun conversation, she admitted that she thought I had wanted to talk to her, so she'd separated herself "from the pack" knowing that might give me some courage to ask her for a chat! Talk about intuition and thoughtfulness!
Plus, we had a really fun, great conversation, and she is as non-diva as they get PLUS she's SO fun. Ten minutes of conversation, and I know she's a great person. I'll always be a fan of Kirsten's. It helps that she's a great actress, but she's an even better person.
i think kirsten is amamzing and garcia..id loveto meet her in person and she's sooo goregous..and her acting is soo amazing...
ReplyDeleteKirsten just beams with positive energy. I really like her as a person in interviews and by all the things fans write about her.
ReplyDeleteIt's usually not okay for a woman to be both naughty/sexy/funny AND smart and competent. We talk a lot about how fun Garcia is, but let's not forget that she's a kick-_ss tech who can do it all. Kirsten embodies that dichotomy so well.
ReplyDeleteI'm so thrilled to hear this about her. I honestly feel that actresses like this, should school other types to make the world a better place. LOL

Okay I just read Wisetara's post and have tears on my face..how incredibly sweet. There is nothing better in the world than a celebrity who understands the importance of fans. And especially ones who are fans themselves.

The more you learn about Kirsten the more there is to admire her for.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much that Kirsten has brought to the character of Garcia. I love her one liners. She infuses humor to such horrible situations.
ReplyDeleteWe are so lucky to have Kirsten on the show. I am so glad that she became a regular because I really enjoy her acting.
ReplyDeleteI think her fresh and honest personal style is why we all like Garcia so much. I think we see so much of Kirsten's true personality in the character of Garcia. Wonderful job she does.
ReplyDeleteKirsten is a gem. We are lucky they found her.
ReplyDeleteMy wife and I got a chance to meet KV after a performance of Fat Pig - she was extremely nice and engaging. We also got a tip for some fabulous icecream sandwiches. :)
ReplyDeletei have the hugest crush on Garcia x
