CRIMINAL MINDS: THINGS ABOUT MY TRIP YOU NEVER HEARD, PART THREE.

Criminal Minds: Before I talk about Matthew Gray Gubler on the set of Criminal Minds and finish dishing about him (very cute stories so no worries) let me ask you what you think spending an hour with Matthew would be like? What is like to watch Matthew work?

  2. Hehehe! I think I have an unfair advantage, so I'm going to keep my mouth shut.

I can say -- for me personally, an hour with MGG would involve a lot of duct tape -- because you'd have to tape me to my chair to keep me from ... hmmm, maybe better leave it there, being a married woman and all.

  3. I would never be able to find out because I would faint and be unconcious on the ground the minute I laid eyes on him.

I am dying to know the parts we didn't hear before about the Gube. I know you loved meeting him from our previous confabs about the trip!

  4. I think he is high energy so I would bet it is amazing to see him in action.

  5. I picture the Gube talking a mile a minute with so much energy that it is probably necessary to take notes to take it all in. lol.

He is such a sweet looking and acting young man. I bet being around him is just a lot of fun.

  6. I imagine any length of time with him would be so much fun that it would leave me wanting more. I am so pumped to see our guy in the new season. Go Gube!

  7. I'm like Lin. I have heard the awesome off line stories about your visit with MGG but there can never be enough of the Gube so let everyone in on it and share the laughs. He is truly 1 of a kind.

  8. I would spend my time with him feeding him because the child obviously does not eat. He is thin as a rail. Lovely job he does as Reid.

  9. Does drooling for an hour or two count? If not I have nothing. lol

  10. High maintenance, high energy and highly fun to watch is my guess.

  11. Hopefully he appreciated the gifts we sent because all but Kirsten sound terribly ungrateful in the last post. I think MGG seems like a well rounded, very interesting and definately unique young man. I bet he has impecible manners and is tons of fun to be around and to watch work.

  12. An hour with MGG.....do you think it would make him uncomfortable if I just stared at him and sputtered when I tried to speak? If so, I better not meet him.

  13. I think he would be very entertaining, full of jokes and fun stories which would be a good thing because I would be so nervous,I'd be reduced to incomprehensible babbling.:)
Watching him act would be amazing because he brings so much life and charm into the character of Reid.

  14. I can imagine it being a magically hour. His docs are so much fun but an entire hour of the Gube would be just amazing.

  15. I think the hour would go something like this:

Miss you need to get off the floor now. The cast needs to shoot a scene and they can't keep stepping over you.

  16. An hour of wacko Gube fun.

  17. I would bet that in reality he is a wonderful conversationalist full of weird and interesting facts. I think he is young and playful and the hour would speed by like it was a minute.

  18. Even the thought of it is amazing. I know I would not be able to form any words so he would have to do all the talking.

  19. I think watching him work would be great. Watching MGG playing Reid would be like finding extra raisins in your Raisin Bran. Yummy!

  20. I wonder if I would be able to even hold a conversation with him. He is my favorite actor on the show and being in the same room with him would be rocking.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Can't imagine it. It would be beyond wonderful.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I would be polite and calm and just enjoy my hour and then leave him and throw up and then faint.

    ReplyDelete
  23. i bet you had a great time. and he kept you laughing the whole time

  24. I'd probably sit there and stare wide at him the whole time, with my mouth hanging open, unable to say anything or even move! IF I was actually able to say something that sounded intelligent, I would show him pictures of kitty Reid, and tell him how I named my cat after his character. (for reasons I still cant understand!) I'd also ask him what his favorite part of playing Reid was, and what he didnt like about playing Reid.

  25. Incredible, fun, amazing (sigh); an hour with MGG!!!! To watch him work would leave me breathless (drooling at thought).

    ReplyDelete
  26. He is so entertaining...I think I would just sit there mesmerized taking it all in. I'm sure I would laugh and smile like crazy because I have a feeling his antics on set are pretty hilarious.

  27. Fun! Based on his YouTube documentaries, and other things I've seen, we seem to have a very similiar sense of humor. We'd probably laugh a lot. Plus, Halloween is my favorite holiday!

To watch him work - I think that would be pretty amazing because he's such a good actor.

  28. An hour with the GUBE!?incomprehensible babbling, hysterical giggling, bad jokes. . . and that's just him! Who knows what I'd be doing . . .

and to watch him work? Well, he's a goofbucket for sure, but I get the impression he's also one incredibly hard-working goofbucket. I'm sure it would be seriously amazing to see.

  29. I think he'd be a whole lot of fun to hang out with! That hour would just fly by!

  30. I would probably act like an idiot, trying to make words come outa my mouth, and making no sense at all. He'd probably sit there and with his beautiful smile looking at me with those perfect eyes and try to make me feel comfortable. I would love to see some magic tricks or hear some funny jokes, then we'd both laugh and I'd try and do my best, without trembling the whole time, ask him some questions.

Then afterwards, I'd run screaming for joy down the road.

    LMAO!!!

  31. let's see an hour with MGG I would not stop staring at him nor would I be able to speak. but I bet he is fun to be around.

  32. I believe he would be very bouncy, funny, and crack everyone up. With the dark subject matter of the show, MGG and most of the others probably rely on humor to get them through.

But he also seems to be genuinely polite and likeable, so I think an hour with Matthew would be a 2-way conversation over lattes, heavy on the laughter.

As for acting, I really have no idea. I don't see him disrupting shooting with too much goofiness, but I think he'd be pretty relaxed and ready to share jokes (and his "documentaries") when appropriate. He's obviously a very good actor, so he spends time preparing and takes direction well.

He meshes so well with the rest of "the team" that I think they spend time together having fun on and off the set, and MGG would be at the center of the activities.

  33. well I imagine you'd never be lacking in entertainment, spending time with Matthew. I'm sure it'd be a laugh a minute with him. he seems like just the kind of person I'd love to hang out with.

  34. Other than tell him I named my baby bunny after his character? I second all the statements from people who said they'd pass out and faint. Except maybe I'd shriek incomprehensibly for a minute or two before doing so. Which would be a shame since it would be so amazing to watch him work, as he is so talented and delightful.

  35. Matthew is very full of energy on the set. Whenever the Director would say cut he would walk away to visit with people he knew or did not know or just roam. I think he is probably the only person at the studio who could positively say who 100% of the visitors that day were because he flits around schmoozing with everyone. The funny part of it though is that you are constantly hearing them call for him. Where's Matthew? Matthew we are ready. Etc. He's always just a step or two away but he is definately a sight to watch on the set. You can be standing there one minute watching the filming and then the next he has plopped down into a chair near you and is telling wild jokes to anyone and everyone who is in his voice range. I noticed at lunch that there is a reason the man is so thin. He is a picker and not an eater. He was interested in a few bites of his lunch but then he shifts gears to whatever is happening around him. He is very fun to watch. High energy! The exception to that is the mornings though. Matthew is almost a different person in the morning while drinking his coffee. He sits watching everything happening around him and he is quiet. I also noticed that he always smiles. Always. Even if he is standing by himself and doesn't realize someone is watching he is smiling. I felt like he was truly a very happy person. We did have some serious conversations and I think he is a very intelligent young man. Seriously intelligent but he is definately not relazed when being serious. I think Matthew is in his comfort zone when he is making other people smile and laugh.

  41. I bet he smiles so much and has so much energy during the day that he is really tired in the morning. Did you check his socks everyday. You have pics of his mismatched socks. Way cool.

  43. Never met someone so wonderfully described as the Gube....he sounds in a class all of his own. Not enough Gube's in this world.....an hour would soooo totally not be enough! Seeing him smile all the time would keep me in a happily, drooling, melted puddle all day long:)

  47. I would drop dead of excitement if I got to meet him.

  48. I would be happy just watching him work for an hour. I think I would be fascinated and amazed. I don't think that I would have the nerve to even talk to him.

  51. Hard decision. I'd definitely want to ask all about him, but on the other hand he must get sick of people asking questions, so I'd have to go with talking about a common interest like magic or writing. I know he wrote his own shorts, so I have to wonder whether he's interested in the process of writing, and different styles. I'd also love to ask him about the process of the undocs; are they scripted,ad-lib I'd guess a combination of both.
I'm actually very shy when first meeting people, so I'd just hope I didn't turn suddenly stupid and make a fool of myself.
