Criminal Minds: Many Criminal Minds fans use repeat season to catch up on other shows or try shows they haven't watched before. What have you been watching this summer?
I spent last summer catching up on Without a Trace and Cold Case, and discovering Monk and the Closer. I decided not to get addicted to any more TV this past year so I only watched Monk and The Closer.
I've been catching up on "Law and Order: SVU". I had taped it but this season I am going to put it back on my small to watch list. It is still wonderful.
A friend turned me on to Las Vegas. She handed me a stack of vhs tapes and told me to give it a try. It is wonderful and I plan on watching it this season. I really recommend it to everyone.
without a trace and monk are very good but boston legal wins hands down for me so light and refresimng to watch and you have such a wonderful cast and the work of david e.kelley say no more.
I have rekindled my passion for "ER" and I intend to switch my tivo recordings to make that my number one show. As old as it is it still has it going on!
Actually, Criminal Minds is what I accidentally started watching this summer since my regular shows are on break. I'm waiting for the new season of Nip/Tuck!
I am watching Brothers and Sisters and you can get totally caught up on all the episodes on the network's website. I totally recommend the show. Watch it on your computer!
I am currently watching "Boston Legal" and "24". I am also trying "Las Vegas" but I am not sure yet if it is something I will watch in the fall. Maybe.
PSYCH!!! Absolutely love James Roday and Dule Hill! Great show that shows the lighter side of a "crime drama" with Shawn's crazy antics. Plus I love that it's new over the summer because then it doesn't overlap with Numb3rs too much during the normal season.
I caught up on House, since it was on the same time as LO:CI last season. I rented movies, we do not go to them when they are in the theater. I think I have given up on Without a Trace, which is sad, but it was never on at the right time because of football and I never got the whole show on my DVD recorder, because the start time was always a mess.
I started watching tapes of House. It really is fantastic. Love it. I also thought Without a Trace was flat this season so I started watching Grey's Anatomy which I tape all the time.
I have become a "Desperate Housewives" junkie this summer. I only had tivo recording it to satisfy a nagging friend but I am hooked on it now. It is mindless but addictive.
I've been trying to get into "Grey's Anatomy" because I liked it but had stopped watching. Their spin-off sounds great to me so I am catching up on the original.
I've been watching So You Think You Can Dance. I love that show. The results show was on the same time as CM, so I haven't really been watching too many of the CM reruns.
I like "24", "Entourage" and "Top Chef" which my neighbor tapes. It works out we trade tapes with the show that the other person doesn't normally watch. I am hoping she will give Criminal Minds a chance this season.
I've been watching a few shows that I had given up on this past year and now I think I am sorry that I did. I don't know why I stopped watching SVU because it is great. I am so glad that I realized it. I also am semi hooked again on ER.
I'm watching the odd episode of SVU and I am reading all the books and articles that I was too busy to read a few months ago. It is nice to have the house quiet when the kids are asleep and just read without the tv on. I'm really enjoying the quiet. I never realized that I was averaging about three hours of tv a night until I turned it off. My husband is still watching whatever the sport of the week is but it is still really quiet.
Wow. So many people have listed 24. I am going to check it out. I've watched a few episodes of some of the Law & Order shows which are always great. I tried Monk but it wasn't for me. I watch an occasional CM repeat. I guess I am not really watching very much tv now. Maybe when the kids go back to school.
off season for CM is on season for a lot of SciFi shows, so I'm spending the summer watching Eureka and Doctor Who. I'm also watching a lot of ABC Family, I'm embarrassed to say. I'm addicted to Kyle XY and Greek.
Finally got a chance to watch all of Heroes which I now really like. Been loyally watching Entourage, Big Love, and lots of random VH1 and MTV shows. Top Chef and all Bravo shows are always favorites.
I am watching a lot of the cooking shows right now. New ones and repeats. I am ever hopeful that I can learn to cook someday plus they are really fun to watch.
Without A Trace is a good one to catch up on in the summer, because I find its on at a weird time during the season. I love, love, LOVE Poppy Montgomery's character, Sam Spade!
At the risk of sounding slightly nerdy... I am addicted to discovery channel's "dirty jobs" and "Mythbusters". Interesting, and ya learn to really respect some peoples' jobs! lol
Other than my soap opera (The Young and the Restless) I don't think I have watched one single television show this entire summer. Instead I have been watching movies on DVD, old Chicago Hope episodes (as I had never seen the show before), and rewatching Dead Like Me and of course Criminal Minds episodes. Unfortunately I am not terribly excited by the new shows starting up this Fall, but I am definitely looking forward to new episodes from my current favorites (Criminal Minds, CSI NY, Numbers, Heroes and The Tudors). I even plan on giving my old favorite CSI Miami another chance. I've watched 24 faithfully for years, but that show lost me last season, as they just went too over-the-top for me.

ReplyDeleteWithout a Trace is great and I am almost caught up on that which is cool since my tivo is almost too full.
ReplyDeleteAnother goodie is Boston Legal which I am sorry that I did not watch live this past season. I like the show.

ReplyDeleteBut most of all "CSI:New York"...
BECAUSE I THINK DET. FLACK IS DROP DEAD HANDSOME & I WANT TO BE ARRESTED BY HIM SOMETIME!!!
(Actually he reminds me of Hotchner. My hubby and I refer to Flack as "Gibson's brother").
I started watching tapes of House. It really is fantastic. Love it. I also thought Without a Trace was flat this season so I started watching Grey's Anatomy which I tape all the time.
ReplyDeleteGreys anatomy is brilliant (Dr Mac Dreamy - yummy!!!)
ReplyDeleteI like Missing without a trace - a good show .
I have become a "Desperate Housewives" junkie this summer. I only had tivo recording it to satisfy a nagging friend but I am hooked on it now. It is mindless but addictive.
ReplyDeleteI will confess that I have turned on and into a real Greys fan this summer. It tops my vcr list for the new season.

ReplyDeleteIs it just me or does it seem like a lot of shows were canceled this season?
ReplyDeleteI am watching dvds instead of tv. I stocked up this year as dvds went on sale and this is my time to kick back after work and watch them.
