Criminal Minds: I was in Orlando this week for business and had the opportunity to spend some time with Lee, the owner of the great Gube site. Our first meeting took place in a wonderful Italian restaurant in my hotel where we enjoyed great food and lots of conversation about Criminal Minds. Criminal Minds, Italian food and good company are always a great mix. It was a very nice evening. The next and last time I met Lee was a few days later when she picked me up at my hotel room to drive me to the airport so we could spend a few more hours together. Lee is a very nice lady and I am very pleased to have had the time to meet with her but I am thoroughly convinced that nobody really drives like that unless they are trying to kill you. We actually later had a conversation about what would happen to the Criminal Minds Blog and Website if I wasn't around......do you think she was trying to kill me off! I jest. Her driving is outrageous but she is a very sweet person. I have however told her that I will be emailing her husband suggesting that their adorable child not be driven by his mommy anymore. lol. Lee is great and if you find yourself in the Orlando area I would highly suggest you hook up with her....just drive yourself. Cabs are cheap!

My driving is NOT that bad. LOL. Jill is such a mom, she says things like "Do you see how the sign says REDUCE SPEED!" and "This is a toll so you have to STOP!" as she is gripping the oh sh!t handle. LOL. We had a really good time. If any of you come to Orlando let me know.

I am demanding time for rebuttal on Lee's comment defending her driving.
1. When the speed limit is clearly marked 35 that does not mean 55-"But Jill this is Florida"
2. When you can see the nose hairs on the driver of the car infront of you....you ARE too close.
3. You really should slow down when everyone else is and the toll booth is in walking distance!!!!
4. When everyone else has their brakes on and all you see is RED lights then it is clearly time to ALSO slow down.
We did have a good time and if you are in Orlando you should definately spend some time with Lee....just take cabs.....if you need some bucks for cabs...email me!
Almost forgot:
Red lights REALLY do mean slow down and stop.
Stop signs mean you slow down before you can actually touch the sign!

I'm laughing so hard right now. But it is true..we have a lot of country highways where the speed is like 55 but everyone goes 85, make sense.

We visit Disney often. I will look her up but thanks for the tip about the driving. We'll use the hotel shuttle. I love Criminal Minds but not enough to die for it!

Lee I will get in your car any time... you wouldn't even have to offer me candy or fake-ask for directions.
I look forward to your coming to the great T-dot for a Buck Howard Extraveganza if it ever comes out... maybe Anadac will let you drive her car so we can be the judge of the driving situation.
I am a nervous passenger so I would have had a heart attack. It is always nice to meet other CM fans. Great conversations took place I am sure.
It's so much fun meeting others with the same interests. *thinking of planning a round-trip through the US next year* :-D

Thanks for the heads up on my crazy wifes driving. She also killed me once, but she said you don't want to hear about that. Maybe it's time I take away the keys. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you, maybe next time!
