We have a gorgeous park that would be awesome for a chase scene. Lots of flat green grass, then a little fence, then a very very steep hill down to the rocks and the lake (Erie.) I would love to see Morgan do his flying tackle, take the unsub over the edge with him, roll all the way down the cliff/hill in a grapple, and get away just as the unsub crashed into the rocks ...
And then Reid, at the top of the hill, casually commenting, "Hey, I think I can see Canada from here."
Plus we have some very beautiful old mansions and their gardens are amazing. Many places to hide a body ... not that I've given it any thought. Heh!
I can make a great case for Cincinatti! 1. There are lots of great depressed neighborhoods to find victims. 2. We have some great parks and historical buildings. 3. I have been a really good person my whole life and I deserve to meet Thomas Gibson and Shemar Moore!
I live on a dead end street that has a drainage gulley behind one of the buildings. It is also edged by trees for privacy. I think it would be a good place to shoot a scene where they find a body. Also, my town was voted one of the top ten "Green towns" in the U.S. so it would be a nice place for them to come and film. Oh, one more thing, I agree with no.3 written by eva.:)
Lin said something earlier about Reid seeing into Canada.
Well Reid can stand right here on the banks of the Detroit River and actually see over into Windsor, Canada.
I would be nice to see and meet the CM cast. Especially Shemar!
Maybe I could be hired as an extra on the show. Hopefully, I could get a small speaking part. I hope I don't have to play one of the dead bodies. (SweetThang remembers pic of girl laying in the bed and covered with blood in another blog entry).
Because Hotch's mom lives here! And they're opening a new FBI office right down the street. The metro Washington DC area is a perfect place to film for many reasons - and the fans from this area would finally get to see them do this area right! (There are NO metros in Quantico and Arlington isn't 4 miles from Quantico, it's more like 40!)
Because I live in Orlando so it could be a "unsub at a theme park" type of story line. I think it'd work. And then MGG would have to come here and meet me, he wouldn't be able to get out of it. I'll drive!!!
Ah I have an idea. One of our agents is kidnapped and the CIA tracks them to Canada. The BAU team travels there to offer assistance. The lane I live on has older victorian style homes which would make great places to film. As he is taking a break Thomas Gibson tries to find a place to sit and ends up on the bench outside my home. I sneak up behind him, grab him and kiss him on the lips and then faint onto the street where they take shots of me as a dead victim.
somehow, I managed to delete my previous post. Doh!
Anyway, what it said was I live not too far from where the Yorkshire Ripper was finally apprehended, so there is precedent for catching bad guys in this city.
Plus, not too far away are the hills that the Princess Bride was filmed on and should the BAU every be summoned to Derbyshire (not sure why that would be, mind you), Mandy could re-enact Inigo Montoya for everybody's delight.
*G* Since my PROVINCE has a smaller population than most cities, I'll go with the Maritimes being extra fun for filming.
And of course the reason why would have to be that there are at least 5 different CM fans (including Stacy!) within a 2-hour radius, so it would be uber-fun.
Oh, and yeah....the scenery is great. Very country-ish and lots of quiet, eery places to film. ;-)
DC! My office is a block away from the J Edgar Hoover FBI Building--maybe Hotch would have to go there to take down Director Strauss aka the blonde bitch! And the rest of the team and I can go to lunch!!!
I think Calgary is a good idea. The team could be searching for an unsub who follows the rodeo circut and that brings them here at Stampede time. We'd get to see the team in jeans and boots (all part of the "looking less offical" thing and belive me, no one wears suits at Stampede) and maybe Morgan could tackle a horse.
Liza {who says, okay the horse thing might be a bit too much}
Redding, CA is surrounded by forests, has a couple of deep lakes, and many old mine shafts for your body dumping pleasure. We also have the requisite palm trees! (It is as far north as you can be in CA and still grow them - a fact for Reid to know.) Shasta County also has the distinction of being one of those places the State relocated criminals to in order to get them away from the big city. It is also a really pretty area.
Boston is really the perfect place for a BAU visit. The colleges and the neighborhoods would be perfect. And should MGG need a place to lay his head at the end of a busy day I could offer up my house. lol
There is an elementry school on my street, so I think that would be a nice case to work on. A kid being kidnapped from the school or somethig of that sort. How fun.:)
I would like to see them spend one whole episode in the office. I would like to see what they do when they aren't running catching unsubs. I would also like to be the one who walks around delivering them coffee and files and such.
New Jersey would be a great place. We have beautiful college campuses and parks and we are close enough to New York to have them running back and forth.
I live in Highfield Park Drive. It has the nickname of Crimefield Park. I do see police cars here at least 3-4 times a month. Sometimes more. Its a street full of apartment buildings. Also here is the place I work (Convergys) and a fire station. Theres three convenience stores (One at top, middle, and one at the end) Theres a bar and a pizza place. Theres a library in a Community Center at the end of the street. And most important of all, there a Tim Hortons at the top of the street. The could all go in there and get coffee and donoughts!
I would love to look out my door and see the cast and crew working. After I closed the door and screamed in glee I would go introduce myself and take them to an old "haunted" house in town that has many legends attached to it. It would be a perfect set.
I think it would be perfect because I would invite all of you to town and we could sit on the porch and watch them film. For the chance to meet them all I would allow them to blow up my house. lol. Kidding.
Well...I live in the middle of nowhere... lots of tv shows filmed up here though....so the cast and crew of cm would feel right at home here....and there are loads of really good locations round here suitable for grizzly storylines!!! ....and like previous posters....would mean MGG would be in the area...and I would be more than willing to show him around!!!
Bismarck North Dakota , we have awsom cotton forest like places along the river that would be perfect for a chace scene or were the unsub keeps is victoms. are town would be perfect because of the oil boom going on now it brings more and more people in every day. p.s. it would be nice to see bismarck in a show for wonce. and i think i would die of joy for our state and town to be in your show.
My town, Castle Rock in Colorado is very old, and has a kind of sad, down feel to it. It's about 15-20 minutes away from Denver and is a small town, that seems perfect for an episode of Criminal Minds! Plus I haven't seen one episode based in Colorado, it's a very beautiful place!!

Calgary is a really beautiful place and there are many wonderful outside locations that would be perfect for a scene shoot.
P.S. I would be able to see MGG!
I love to see it come to london and all the sghts our great city has to offer

I wish I could make a case for Newark but I can't. How sad it that! :(

can they cross the border into other countries?

Lee
Emergency Message for Matthew Gray Gubler!!!!
Do not drive with Lee. We adore you too much to have anything happen to you. Jill scared us!

I think Memphis would be perfect. They can come and profile all the Memphians that think Elvis is still alive. Graceland would make a great set.
Also, I have a guest room if any of our cast or crew want to stay here instead of a hotel. :)
DC, hello, do I really need to give a reason? :D Because the show is supposed to take place here! (Well, Quantico, VA, but DC is prettier.)
Vegas would be a great place to shoot an episode. Mountains, casinos, etc. and then Matthew's family could all be extras.
*G* Since my PROVINCE has a smaller population than most cities, I'll go with the Maritimes being extra fun for filming.

Florida and if they could be dressed in bathing suits I would be very appreciative.

Criminal Minds should shoot in Los Angeles because........oh wait....they already do! LOL
I was in the North Mammon episode and they filmed my scene in Tarzana, CA, which is in the San Fernando Valley a few miles north of Santa Monica!
The team could come to Europe on a group holiday!
New Jersey would be a great place. We have beautiful college campuses and parks and we are close enough to New York to have them running back and forth.
Being greedy for just a moment, I think they should come to Washington. They could use Mt. Ranier as a back drop and the lakes. Plus the Needle.
I think Korea would be a good place!
I love them in sweaters so how about Alaska or somewhere else really cold.

Anywhere the want on the East coast. I can drive to see them. I would be happy just watching them eat their lunch!
Sterling, Ashburn, or Leesburg VA would be a great place to shoot. They are all in Loudoun county. There are alot of good neighbor hoods in the area.
I think it would be perfect because I would invite all of you to town and we could sit on the porch and watch them film. For the chance to meet them all I would allow them to blow up my house. lol. Kidding.
