NOT FOR THE EYES OF KIRSTEN VANGSNESS!

Kirsten (Garcia on Criminal Minds) visited the blog once that we know of and I am not taking any chances on her reading this post so please proceed to the comments section for the post unless you are Kirsten! :)

  1. I have been receiving packages for Kirsten almost everyday since starting the Garcia Pen Collection (which was Lin's wonderful idea). We have already accumulated a great assortment of pens and even pencils and I am sure more are still on their way. I will be closing the boxes on Tuesday morning and they will be on their way to Kirsten. I promise to take a picture before the lid goes on.

I knew when I posted this project exactly what was going to come next and it did. I started receiving little gifts and cards for everyone on the show. Okay, I can go with the flow but there are a few things I would like to bring to everyone's attention.

Today I received hand knitted socks for Matthew. OMG how awesome. I am not naming the sender without her permission but needless to say I want her to knit me a matching pair.

I have received peanut butter for Matthew and have asked repeatedly what the inside joke is about peanut butter but nobody has answered me. I will NOT put the peanut butters in the box until it is explained. Not kidding folks.

The cards and letters that I have received thanking me were not necessary and very much appreciated.

Spongebob golf balls for Thomas. Way too cool and the golf beanie rocks.

Garcia and Matthew have received silly putty, playdo, crayons, slinkies and enough fun things to make me want to laugh just typing this. I hope they both have the sense of humor we think they!

AJ received a lovely book, a magnet and a beanie and Paget received a beanie, magnet and some other small items I am sure they will appreciate.

Mandy: The reason for the season in my eyes has received many, many cards, a dreidel, a toy train, some books and judaica which I hope that he likes.

I think the cards you all sent will mean the most to them. That you all took the time to think of them is precious to me and I am sure it will be to them as well.

If anyone missed the deadline for mailing a card or pen please feel free to email them via me and I will print it off on nice paper and put it in an envelope for you. :)

  2. *** email me your letter. A pen might get stuck in my printer.***

  3. I'm glad we're keeping this "secret" from Kirsten and the rest of the gang. I'm sure they'll all be shocked and amazed. Well amazed for certain.

I FINALLY got my collie cards to print (techno whiz I am not). Now I just need to write a few lines in each and put in envelopes. Fed Ex will get them to you on Monday am if I get them to the drop by noon tomorrow. I'm supposed to go to a concert tonight, but I think I'll stay home and write cards instead.

  4. Oh, by the way:

Are people including their personal contact information with their cards/gifts? Name, address, email?

    Thanks.

  5. *** I forgot to post about Shemar. He has already received a beanie, some magnets, a cute pillow and a bunch of other items. He has also received many many cards.

Linn: I am not putting my address on my cards but you do what you want to do. :)

  6. I loved picking out the cards that I sent. I tried to buy one to suit each personality.

  7. Too cool! Can I take it my package finally arrived?

Jan, for what it's worth, I put little return address stickers on my cards. Didn't think of adding an e-mail address - grrr! Oh, well.

  8. Lin: I did get your package but I really would suggest to everyone else still sending not to do the address thing. I listed the addresses so far should Kirsten want them. :)

  9. I loved doing this. It was so much fun to shop for just the right pen. I hope she likes them. She is so great on the show. PS: Did you realize that the pen I sent blows bubbles when you write with it?

  10. Did you think that I would pass up the op to send MGG crayons??????

    ReplyDelete
  11. Wow. You sent crayons. I sent a slinky. We seem to have a theme going here by the sound of it.

  12. I have to agree about the cards. It was interesting to take what you know about the cast of the show and place them inside your real life day. I kept thinking that the Gube would actually be holding a card that I was buying. Cool.

  13. I don't know where my last post went. Hmmmmm.

Anyhow -- Jill I think your idea for addresses is way better than mine. If you want to/can peel my little labels off, that would be cool.

And I think it's awsome that you volunteered to get this together for us all! You so rock!

  14. I used crayon to sign my cards to Kirsten and Matthew but switched to a pen for the others. Couldn't picture Mandy liking me using a crayon to say hello. This was fun. Thank you for all you do on the blog and for always being so nice to everyone. I am a new person here and everybody has been so sweet. It makes me feel like a part of a big Criminal Minds family.

  15. Monica,
Signing w. a crayon! That is inspired!

My collie is signing fan photos for the cast. He has a very high ego and is quite organized. His mom, on the other hands, is still struggling with the package. I hope this won't be the stressor that triggers him to bite me in the butt!

  16. Peanut butter? Jill, when you find out what's up with peanut butter, can you post it for the rest of us, 'cause now I'm dying of curiousity?

I've given up on trying to sign in, I'm no technogenius either, I think I broke my cookies or something.

  17. I have no idea about the peanut butter but I sent cachews.

  18. I bought Kirsten the smallest lip pillow I could find. I promise that it was the smallest one. I wanted to send the big one but I was afraid you would kill me. LOL.

  19. Can I just say, I love this picture of Kirsten. I love that she can wear this color. If I tried it, I'd look like a week-old corpse. But she looks great in every color she wears.

  20. I hope you have gotten the cards that I sent. I sent them priority but not overnight. Could you email me and let me know.

  21. I will email you some emails for the cast. I sent Kirsten a pen and forgot everyone else. I am such an idiot. My husband suggested it and I blew it off. They are on their way when I finish this post.

  22. PEANUT BUTTER: Well the peanut butter mystery is solved. Yuk! Yuk! It would seem that a couple of members of our little group got to talking one night after we decided to do the project and wondered what would happen if they picked out something off the wall and sent it to me. They were playing a haha on Jill. Well my darrrrrlings....I am a tough Jewish woman raised in NY and I will get you back for your little joke. Meanwhile you spent a pretty penny to send peanut butter from Germany and across the US. I know what I will do. I will make PB & J sandwiches and mail them to you. And not by express mail. I can smell the mold already. I will donate the peanut butter to the Memphis Food Bank. We don't like it and I do not want it to go to waste. I am so glad you gals confessed so I didn't need to get the BAU involved. :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Please do not mail me pbj sandwiches. We were just being silly. Actually could you give MGG the gubers ones. We love you!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yeah! So glad the socks arrived before Monday! Now, when you say you want a matching pair, you mean the same color, or the same as Matthew's mismatched pair? lol! I can't wait to see a pic of all of it all!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I mean that is the coolest thing in the world. You knit him socks and they look so great. I would love to have the same set as he is getting. You are so incredibly talented. With a gun to my head I could not have done that. :)

  26. I can't wait to see the pictures. I bet all the pens together in one box will look great.

  27. *crosses fingers* I really really hope my stuff arrives on time

    *crosses fingers again*

If not, i guess I can send you an email to pass on? Not the same but better than nothing.

*crosses fingers and thumbs as well*

  28. I think she will feel the love we have for Garcia!

  29. OMG you knitted socks!!! FREAKING AWESOME!!! He'll LOVE those. I swear Jill I'm going to email you something for Paget, Shemar and Thomas. I really want to tell him how great that last article was.

  30. Really cool project and socks rock.

  31. How much is this box going to weigh?! LOL.

You should pack yourself inside and then jump out like from a cake! Better keep the peanut butter for sustenence. And cut airholes in the box! Hee!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Can we make room in the box for all of us?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I am sorry but I think the peanut butter thing is funny. I really do but then again I am not one of the people getting sandwiches mailed back to them. Too funny.

  34. The pen I sent is musical. I hope she realizes that there is a small button to press. Could you imagine her filming a scene and using the pen and accidently pressing the button. She would scare herself silly. Knowing "Garcia" she would love it.

  35. Is it too late for me to participate? I am new to the show and just found your blog this evening. Please.

  36. I sent my cards this morning and they're supposed to be at your door by noon on Monday. I hope that works.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I sent mine by express, hope they're there by now! Australia Post can be a little unreliable.

  38. Sadrine: Go ahead and email me your letters and I will print them off with the others that I have received and place them in envelopes for you. :)

  39. Thanks for letting me know that you rec. my pen for KV. I hope she likes it.

  40. I had the same problem as some of the other members. I found things I wanted to send but they were big and I thought you would get mad. I am sorry about the peanut butter. We really did mean it as a joke and I do understand now from your email that it was unsettling for you and we are all very sorry. Thank you for being so nice about it. I hope Kirsten likes the Garcia pen I sent.

  41. Bubbles sound cool. Mine is a bear with wobbly eyes. Thought it was cute.

  42. This is so exciting.

  43. When Kirsten posted her clothing sized the other day I thought about buying her some clothes from a vintage shop here in town but also figured you would kill me.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I have taken pics and closed the box containing the presents for A.J. & Paget. They are sharing a box. Next I will do Shemar and Thomas. I hope they don't mind sharing. :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. By the way does anyone have a saw? Three of the pencils are so long they do not fit in any box I have and I bought boxes! lol

    ReplyDelete
  46. This is going to be such fun--I can't wait to hear what Kirsten's and the rest of the cast's reactions are! They are goingto think we are nuts, but oh well--WE ARE!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Maybe she will post a thank you on her cbs blog when she gets the gifts. That would be real cool. That way we all know she got it thanks for Jill's really hard work to make it happen.

    ReplyDelete
  48. LOL...you guys plot so well around here. of course, a title like that is just going to tempt her.
