CRIMINAL MINDS SCREENCAPS "FEAR & LOATHING" , LAST STRIP

Last night's episode of Criminal Minds "Fear & Loathing" was really good. I hope that everyone enjoyed it. This is the last strip of screencaps from the episode. Wonderful performances by Shemar Moore, Mandy Patinkin, Matthew Gray Gubler, Thomas Gibson, A.J. Cook, Paget Brewster and Kirsten Vangsness. Screencaps for Criminal Minds "Fear and Loathing" are courtesy of slashgirl.

  2. I am so glad that you were able to post a cap of Garcia. Like the epi but she was on screen for about 10 seconds and that sucks. And they soooooooooooo need to lighten Gideon up. He is getting way to dark. I would give the episode an A-

  3. Beautiful caps, as always. Thank you, thank you.

Two things I missed before -- since when does Hotch wear a suit that light-colored? I mean, yeah, it's gray, but still -- pretty racy for Mr. Black and Navy.

And -- is Reid wearing the same sweater vest he was wearing in "Revelations"? I know it's probably a filming issue, but here's hoping they go burn it now.

  4. Lin: My boyfriend and I said the same freakin thing about the sweater but then we thought that since Reid is on the nerdish side that clothes prob don't mean lots to him so actually it makes sense that he would wear the same stuff over and over again. My boyfriend made a good point that Reid's mom is always shown wearing sweaters so maybe it is a comfort thing for him.

  5. Lin: Hotch has worn that grey suit before. The ep I remember it in off hand is The Perfect Storm (ep 2x03) when they went to Florida after the husband/wife killing team. I was actually thinking he needs to get some new suits. *G* He may have worn it in other eps this season as well, but I'm not sure. But really, it doesn't matter what colour he wears, Hotch is sex in a suit. *snicker* (thanks to talcat for that one!)

  6. Notice Reid's watch on the outside of his sweater. We have discussed that before!

  7. Great caps. Good episode. Strong performances by all but Shemar really did shine. Is it me or does he get better looking every minute of everyday we can appreciate his looks and talent at the same time no matter what he says.

  10. I didn't start watching the show until this season and i was wondering if they explained what happened to Morgan's father because he said " my father died a hero too" or something similar in the episode last night. can someone fill me in :)

  11. Thanks for the caps!

    Just some thoughts.

I don’t know if was intended but you can see on the stills that Hotch’s scowl was even deeper than normal. It would not be out of the question that everyone is going through some PTSD. The cast could also be tired.

I also noticed Gideon was staring a lot more. He is usually a little more physically involved- with more animation in his face. I replayed Revelations a few times. At the end he was staring at Reid. Could he be reliving his own “choices” or maybe seeing himself in Reid?

  12. Wonderful observations Sherlock. I think they all must be feeling the strain of returning to normal. After their last ordeal they really need to have some therapy but that would make for a boring episode.

  15. My husband, daughter and I watched the show last night and I was uncomfortable. We have only started watching the show since the Super Bowl and we really liked it but I am not thrilled about a drug storyline. I understood the drugs in the previous episode but a main character doing drugs is not my cup of tea. Any ideas on how long this will last?

  16. Shelby: First of all, welcome to the blog and to the Criminal Minds fandom. I am so glad that your whole family has been enjoying the show. I understand what you are saying about the drugs storyline but I suspect it will be over very soon so please hang in there with us. Criminal Minds is show in a league of its own and I look forward to getting to know you better and sharing the show with you. I received your email this afternoon and truly apologize for not responding to it sooner. Life got in the way. I hope that I was able to answer all your questions but it you have more then feel free to email again or post them on the blog and one of our group will be more than happy to answer them for you. :)

  17. Great caps, as usual. Thanks to slashgirl. (mwah)

Loved seeing Morgan at the forefront again. He's very empathic to everyone and draws people together.

I also noticed Reid's sweater vest. After just reading Kirsten's blog, in which she said this ep was filmed before Revelation, the cast, dressers, etc. didn't know at the time that that particular sweater would be significant. I don't mind; I think his sweaters are sexy! The watch, too. I wore my watch over my clothes all the time when I was young and nerdy. [g]

There's no mention of how long it's been since Revelation, but it seemed awfully early for Reid to be back at work. He's obvious he's suffering from serious PTSD, flashbacking every 5 min. I can't believe he'd be carrying the drug bottles around for very long unless he really was using, and there was no indication of that. I'd say less than 2 weeks. I'm not sure his foot would even have healed by then!

  19. BTW, the screen caps are great. And MGG is doing such a good job. He looked so haunted when he was staring at himself in the mirror.

  20. I just noticed the watch over the sleeve thing on this ep, but once I noticed, I realized he does this often, maybe it's because he's so thin it fits better that way.

I also noticed (good news?) when he pulled out the drug vials, he pulled out both bottles, but he didn't pull out a needle, in fact it was probably an oversight but I didn't see a needle when he pulled the drugs out of Tobias's pocket either (and I looked repeatedly). I'm hoping this is a sign that we'll find that they're just one hell of a weird security blanket and he never actually uses them.
I'm also hoping he either fesses up or gets caught with them soon so he can get some help with the issue. I keep thinking that after the way Elle left Hotch has just got to have enough sense to send Reid to counseling so that doesn't happen again.
Just to make you all lol, are you TOO obsessed when you're talking about your favorite actor and a coworker overhears in the lunchroom and thinks you're personally acquainted because you know too many facts about his life? We all had a good laugh when I had to explain to the new girl that I'm just a crazy "cyberstalker" not a personal friend of MGG's. She was hoping for an intro, gotta cultivate this friendship. My friends keep telling me this much interest isn't healthy, I say "where's the fun in being healthy?"

Still can't remember my password to sign in right, guess I'll have to sign up again.

  23. bad Reid...put down the drugs and walk away. good boy.

I'm still kind of wondering why exactly they went with the drug addiction angle, but I won't knock them because it's a very realistic angle.
