  4. Man, this sounds like a terrific ep! Since Reid can't lie worth a darn, I'm wondering what strange behavior he can really pull off for any length of time. I hope they resolve it quickly. I can't stand seeing our boy in distress!

Of course, more angst means that MGG can show off his excellent acting skills. Maybe we'll get a shower scene! [hopeful]

  8. Here in the UK, we've just come to the end of S1, I only got into it half way through so had to go out today to buy the box set (been watching it since I got back and am up to 'The Popular Kids'.
Love the series, Reid is - what can I say that hasn't already? Can't wait for S2, in the mean time, I'll take every crumb I can.

  15. I am sending a letter to CTV to complain that you are getting to see the show a day ahead of us Stacy. I seriously may need a job transfer to Canada. :)

  16. Looking at that picture makes me want to hold him in my arms and cry. He looks so pathetic. Poor Reid. I am really not sure how much longer I can take this storyline.

  17. Jill: So...you don't want the quotes and screencaps a day early? I'm surprised! *G* Although if you want to move to Canada, it's a beautiful country...although we only get CM a day early after American Idol starts airing....:D

  19. I am looking for a positive resolution to Reid’s crisis. I do not expect it to be overnight, since that would be very unrealistic. The best route for helping Reid is to seek outside counseling from peers not in his immediate work group. Now who would that be? Does a genius have peers?

If things were done by procedure, he would be asked to go into serious counseling, and he would not be carrying a gun for the near future. This would also mean he would not be able to travel. The gun is required part of a law enforcement officers “uniform” and anything short means desk duty.

Rehab from illicit drugs is not an option. Doctors, lawyers and actors go to rehab for drugs. LE officers get fired. The only drug rehab allowed is for prescription drugs, and they must have been obtained legally. I am not saying there are not drug abusers in LE, but management is not going to knowingly be a part. That can be a challenge for Hotch- to decide what to do if he suspects it.

  20. I think they can take Reid's gun off him without problems - in LDSK he loses it after failing his gun test.

I would hope the FBI would be more sympathetic than to fire somebody who has been through a horrendous experience and who got lost as a result.

Maybe we'll see some more Hotch angst - but I hope he comes through in the end.

  21. It is going to be real interesting to see how they handle Reid's problem. Sher is right that there are procedures and things but in reality we do not know how bad a problem he has and he was a victim not like a street user. I am counting the days till Wed.

  22. omg..cant wait until the episode...and what is with the changes....thats killing me...i hope that everybody in the team will help and he wont be off the show like Elle... u know how elle was off after few episodes the 2-part episode...

  23. I doubt that Reid has forgotten about the nightmare incident....I expected Reid to tell Morgan something along the lines" how can I trust you if you have betrayed that trust before" but he didn't....probably Reid didn't have the energy and played along....he didn't opened up completely however and kept the most important secret to himself.

I am really looking forward to"Distress" . I want to see how the team is going to handle Reid's problem. I do hope that Gideon plays a more important role....and acts more like a father than a boss.

  28. Hey Dny
Don't you dare complain to CTV. Half the time they say will be showing a new episode and then they throw on a repeat.

  29. I just went on the CTV website, and I think CM has been bumped completely off the air by AI and the alternate spot on Sunday by Amazing Race. AAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The site says there won't be an episode until March, and it is a rerun.

  30. I am truly sorry for our Canadian friends. I know you are all disappointed. I remember how I felt when President Bush screwed with our CM schedule. If it helps at all it does look like it is going to be well worth waiting for. Looks like a great episode. :)

  31. I hope we get to see more of Garcia in this one. She is so sweet with Reid and he needs his friends now.

  33. I am looking forward to the episode. I am having some friends over for dinner before the show so I can convert them. Scrabble my ass. It was a ruse to get them to my house to make them watch the show.

  34. I am wondering who will be the first person in the unit to notice that Reid is having a problem. I think the obvious person would be Hotchner but I think Gideon really does know Reid better and it will be him. Or maybe JJ.

  43. I absolutely loved this episode. I adored the new, snarky Reid and I kind of wish he'd maintain this new found confidence minus the obvious stress related mental issues.
