CRIMINAL MINDS GOES GAME

Criminal Minds going game: Legacy Interactive has signed a licensing agreement with CBS Consumer Products to develop a video game based on the popular crime drama series Criminal Minds, as part of it Hollywood Hits game series.

Criminal Minds revolves around an elite team of FBI profilers who analyze the country's most twisted criminal minds, anticipating their next moves before they strike again. Led by Special Agent Aaron “Hotch” Hotchner, each member brings his or her own area of expertise to the table as they pinpoint predators' motivations and identify their emotional triggers in the attempt to stop them.

“Legacy Interactive is thrilled to be collaborating with CBS Consumer Products to expand our Hollywood Hits games,” said Ariella Lehrer, President and CEO of Legacy Interactive. “Criminal Minds is an intelligent and sophisticated television series that will translate wonderfully into an interactive gaming experience.”

In the Criminal Minds game, players delve into the criminal mind with clever puzzles and immersive hidden object gameplay. The game will include characters and themes taken directly from the hit television series. In the game, fans will be able to take on the role of different members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) to solve a series of five shocking crimes. In order to track down the killers and solve each case, players will need to examine crime scenes for clues, interview witnesses and suspects, analyze evidence and build a profile based on real-life criminal profiling techniques.

CRIMINAL MINDS: GREAT INTERVIEW WITH KIRSTEN VANGSNESS

Criminal Minds: Wonderful interview with Kirsten Vangsness, Penelope Garcia on Criminal Minds, in iF Magazine:

CRIMINAL MINDS is one of the darkest of TV’s procedurals, dealing as it does with a team of FBI profilers who track serial killers in every episodes, hoping to capture the homicidal culprits before they kill again. The main regular source of brightness on the CBS hit, now in its fifth year, is colorful computer researcher Penelope Garcia, played with great warmth and panache by Kristen Vangsness. Vangsness, known for her work on the Los Angeles theatre scene, took what began as a small recurring role and invested her with so much spark that she soon became indispensable to the teams both on and off-screen.

iF MAGAZINE: Coming into fifth season, was anybody worried about the renewal, or was everyone pretty confident?

CRIMINAL MINDS: BRAVO ED!

Criminal Minds: There has been way too much already written about Mandy P. guest starring on Three Rivers but I loved Ed Bernero's responses in this article so I am posting it. I think it should answer once and for all the emails I have been receiving the past few days asking me if Mandy is coming back to Criminal Minds!

The highlights:

Mandy: “They were some of the most beautiful, gifted actors I ever had the privilege to work with, and I miss them all very much,” he says. But a show about tracking serial killers “just wasn't the right fit at the time....The way I work, for better or worse, is to bring that material to life. My mind was immersed in Holocaust images 24/7. It isn't that I won't do pieces like that in the future, I'll just be cautious in terms of what I choose. I'll choose in a very Mandy-friendly fashion.”

Ed: The warm feelings aren't exactly mutual on the Minds set. “I can tell you that nobody misses him,” says executive producer Edward Allen Bernero, who says the last time he talked to Patinkin was just before the table read, when the star said, “I'll see you in an hour” and then didn't show. “We sent the police out,” says Bernero. “We thought he got in an accident on the freeway coming to work.”

“He really hurt a lot of people,” continues Bernero, who's currently working on Minds' 100th episode, slated for November. “We were going into our third season—it's one of the most important seasons—and nobody knew whether [his leaving] meant everybody lost their jobs. It was handled very poorly. I'm not hurt about it, although I won't ever work with him again. I'm just proud of this [Minds] family. Looking back on it it's like, wow, that really cemented us all.”

CRIMINAL MINDS 100TH EPISODE SPOILERS

Criminal Minds: Martine found an interesting blurb: What happened to Garcia's boyfriend and J.J.'s husband on Criminal Minds? — Denise
ADAM: Good news, Denise! Garcia's beau, Kevin (Nicholas Brendon), pops up in the series' 100th episode, as do J.J.'s hubby and baby boy. That episode, this season's ninth, is shaping up to be a doozy. Executive producer Ed Bernero tells me that in addition to wrapping up the Reaper story line, the episode will "take the team full-circle back to an important issue raised in the pilot episode: whether it's possible to surround yourself with monsters and not become one."

CRIMINAL MINDS: MANDY PATINKIN GUEST STARRING ON CBS SHOW

Credit: Monty Brinton/CBS

Criminal Minds: Mandy Patinkin, ex Jason Gideon on Criminal Minds, guest stars on CBS' `Three Rivers'. LOS ANGELES — Mandy Patinkin is returning to CBS — and he's bringing a personal story line with him.

The network says the former "Criminal Minds" star will make a guest appearance on the medical drama "Three Rivers." He'll play an aspiring organ donor.

Patinkin received corneal implants, donated by the families of a 13-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy, to correct a disease that distorts the shape of the cornea and severely impairs vision.

The 56-year-old actor asked to be released from his role as FBI profiler Jason Gideon on CBS' "Criminal Minds" in 2007, citing creative differences.

"Three Rivers," which airs on Sundays, explores the lives of organ donors, recipients and surgeons.

CRIMINAL MINDS: JOE MANTEGNA WITH PRINCE ALBERT II

Criminal Minds: Joe Mantegna, David Rossi on Criminal Minds, is pictured above with HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco at the Monte Carlo Television Festival cocktail party held at the Beverly Hills Hotel in October.

CRIMINAL MINDS: THE MANTEGNA FAMILY & GAVIN ROSSDALE

Criminal Minds: Joe Mantegna, David Rossi on Criminal Minds, introduced his family to Gavin Rossdale who is guest starring in an upcoming episode of Criminal Minds. Twitter has been on overload discussing his appearance and I am truly looking forward to seeing the episode. ***Used with permission from Mr. Mantegna**

CBS Press Release: Rock star Gavin Rossdale will guest star on an episode of CRIMINAL MINDS this fall on the CBS Television Network.

Rossdale will play a Goth rock star who has become lost in the frightening alter-ego he portrays on stage - an alter-ego whom the BAU team suspects may be a brutal serial killer.

Rossdale was last seen in the independent feature film "How to Rob a Bank." Previously, he appeared in the films "Constantine," "Little Black Book" and "Game of their Lives." Rossdale first attained worldwide fame as the lead singer/songwriter for the UK post-grunge rock band Bush. Their first album, "Sixteen Stone" (1994), was a huge commercial success. Almost overnight, Bush went from playing small pubs in London to headlining arenas in the US, the result of extensive, non-stop touring. The band went on to produce three more albums together. Rossdale was featured on the Sony Pictures XXX soundtrack in 2002 with a song called "Adrenaline." The song was also the official theme song for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)'s "Unforgiven" pay-per-view event in September 2002 and was used in the ending credits of "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines." Additionally, he has just completed his International Tour on his latest solo album, "Wunderlust." Rossdale resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Gwen Stefani, and their two sons.

CRIMINAL MINDS: ANGIE KIBILOSKI

Criminal Minds: Angie Kibiloski, an aspiring actress with enormous talent and stand-in for A.J. Cook, was given a role in this week's Criminal Minds episode "Reckoner." Angie played a detective. She is a wonderful actress and a delightful young lady. Remember her name because I think she's got a really bright future ahead of her!

CRIMINAL MINDS: DONNELL TURNER IN "ALTERNATIVE"

Criminal Minds: Donnell Turner, actor and stand-in for Shemar Moore, Derek Morgan on Criminal Minds, is extremely talented. I predict that this young actor is going to have a very successful career.

Donnell in "Alternative" directed by Andy Swan. This film has won: Best Drama, at the Action on film international film festival, official selection at the Big Bear film festival, official selection at the Boston International film festival, and "best in fest" at the Rochester international film festival. Its an intense 5 minutes that tells a full story (hard to do in such little time). Beautifully acted by Donnell and brilliantly directed by Andy Swan. Enjoy!
