Criminal Minds Blog Notes: Happy Friday everyone! Congrats to Ed Bernero on having his pilot, Washington Field, chosen by CBS. Lets start talking to people about it and of course watch it when it airs. The only thing better than one Ed Bernero show is two.
Thank you to all the people who have either made direct contributions or bid on auctions to fund Kim Harrison's American Heart Association marathon. We've already donated over $600 and it warms my heart to see all the dedications on the scroll board. Take a look when you have time and please consider making a donation.

Have a great weekend everyone! Stay warm and safe. :)

Criminal Minds screencaps for "Bloodline" starring Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Paget Brewster, Shemar Moore, A.J. Cook, Matthew Gray Gubler, Kirsten Vangsness and guest star Meta Golding are courtesy of Keren.
Criminal Minds overnight Nielsen ratings info for "Bloodline". There was never a question in my mind that last night was going to be an interesting fight for ratings. We had some competition and it was going to be tough but if you look at the viewership numbers you will agree with me that we did very well.
Criminal Minds topped the hour with 13.86 million viewers, dipping just 190K versus increased competition. Fox's Lie to Me premiered to 13.2 million, but the truth is it shed more than three million samplers over the hour and fell to third come 9:30.
Lost's two-hour season opener averaged 11.37 mil, down 29 percent from the series' year ago premiere and down 830K from the Season 4 finale.
Criminal Minds: Last night's episode, "Bloodline" written by Mark Bruner was fantastic. What a terrific first effort. Here is a link to an article written about Mark.
Mark Bruner grew up in exotic countries of the world and in Vienna, graduated from Langley High School and the University of Virginia and, after graduation, moved to Los Angeles to work in the television industry. On Jan. 21, Bruner's debut screenplay will air on CBS'"Criminal Minds."
AT LANGLEY High School, Bruner played soccer, wrote "a lot of personal writing," and watched movies often. "I was just your average nerdy kid," Bruner said.
Bruner's father was a career State Department employee and the Bruner family moved around North Africa and Israel when Bruner was growing up. Bruner, now 23, said he "wrote a lot and watched a lot of movies" during those years he spent overseas. When he was "just a kid," he wanted to make short movies with his camcorder.
"Growing up overseas, my family was so important to me. They were always there for me. Family closeness was sort of an inspiration for my story."
"Bloodline" is Bruner's first produced script, the story of a reclusive, serial-killing family. "We had never done a family of serial killers before," Bruner said. "Basically, the plot is that the team is called into an Alabama town where young girls are being abducted."
Through a contact of Bruner's father, the writer got an internship with "Criminal Minds" in the summer of 2005, between his sophomore and junior years at UVA. Upon graduation, a bachelor of arts in media studies in hand, Bruner took on a full-time position with the program and moved to Los Angeles.
"Now that I'm getting paid to write and watch movies, it's kind of cool."

Thanks to Kim for including us in this worthy cause. We're off to a great start. Over $300 in less than one day! Way to go Criminal Minds family! http://www.kimmyrunsthecity.com/
5. Some housekeeping notes from the moderators: Any member who has not posted a comment on the message board within the past 30 days will have their membership deleted during the upcoming maintenance cycle. Please remember that we support fair usage on the board, unless express permission has been granted in writing from the source of an article, and anything else will be deleted.
6. Thank you to CBS for their fast response in confirming the IMDB error last week. Please be assured that I have confirmation from Ed Bernero, and we all know that that is as good as gold, as well that this was simply an error. While I was thrilled to see how many of you were freaked at the prospect of another cast change, please stop emailing me. The matter is totally closed. Mistakes happen. This was one. There are simply no plans at this time to bring back Lola Glaudini to the show. Case closed.
7. Thank you again to Deb Fisher, Erica Messer and John Gallagher for joining us in the chat room this past Wednesday. It was a great episode and a great chat. Thank you to Ed Bernero for making these chats possible.
Enjoy your weekend. Stay warm and safe. Pop in a CM dvd and grab some tea! :)

Criminal Minds: Jackson Rathbone has his priorities right. Criminal Minds before all else!
"Twilight" star Jackson Rathbone, who was set to appear with his rock band side project 100 Monkeys at 8 p.m. Sunday at diPiazza's Restaurant & Lounge, cancelled the show Friday morning to fly out of state to work on an episode of "Criminal Minds."
The 100 Monkeys show in Long Beach was to have been Rathbone's only all-ages concerts in the Long Beach-L.A. area, and diPiazza's was inundated with calls Thursday after the announcement of the concert was publicized on the band's MySpace page and fan sites.
Rathbone, who plays Jasper Hale in "Twilight," is especially popular among the teenage girl set. According to a spokesperson for the actor, Rathbone and his improv band will play an all-ages show at diPiazza's in early or mid-March.

Criminal Minds overnight Nielsen ratings info for "Soul Mates" written by Erica Messer and Deb Fisher.
“American Idol” owned the night but Criminal Minds gave them a run for the money and once again pulled in terrific ratings!
"CBS was runner-up for the night, thanks largely to “Criminal Minds” at 9 (14.1 million) and “CSI: NY” at 10 (12.8 million). CBS’s back-to-back comedies, “The New Adventures of Old Christine” (7.3 million) and “Gary Unmarried” (7.1 million), earned fewer viewers but still outpaced their competitors to win the 8 p.m. hour. NBC ranked third for the night with “Knight Rider” at 8 (5.3 million), “Law & Order” at 10 (8.2 million) and a repeat of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” at 9 (4.5 million). ABC finished fourth with three hours of “Lost” (4.5 million), a rerun of last season’s three-part finale."

Criminal Minds: IMDB has listed Lola Glaudini, the former Elle Greenway on Criminal Minds, as being a guest star on the next two upcoming episodes. This is an error and Ms. Glaudini is not in these episodes, nor presently scheduled for any in the future. I confirmed with CBS that this is a mistake.
Per IMDB: "Criminal Minds" .... Elle Greenaway (30 episodes, 2005-2009)
- Bloodline (2009) TV episode .... Elle Greenaway
- Soul Mates (2009) TV episode .... Elle Greenaway
Again, this is INCORRECT!!

Battleground: Wednesdays at 9 p.m.: ABC's "Lost" vs. Fox's "Lie to Me" vs. CBS' "Criminal Minds"
Analysis: This is a three-way Mexican standoff. Fox's keystone new show against CBS' usual time-period winner -- both crime procedurals -- and then there's ABC's strongly rated "Lost" returning after airing on Thursdays during the writers strike last year. "Lie" has the "Idol" lead-in and boasts a fairly solid pilot, plus the dramas that best maintained an "Idol" lead-in have been the somewhat similar "Bones" and "House." ABC hasn't yet scheduled a lead-in for "Lost," but the show is considered a self-starter.
Likely winner: As a serialized show, "Lost" will drop at least 10%, yet will probably win in the demo. "Lie" could surprise thanks to "Idol." Either way, "Minds" remains a good bet to dominate total viewers. Also, Fox holds a trump card here: The network could swap "Lie" and 8 p.m.'s "American Idol" at any time to protect their new show.
