CRIMINAL MINDS: JOE & GAVIN ON THE SET
Criminal Minds: From all accounts coming to me from the set of Criminal Minds, fun is being had by all with Gavin Rossdale, pictured above with Joe Mantegna, David Rossi on Criminal Minds. It sounds like we are going to have another great episode in the near future! Welcome Gavin. You are now part of the Criminal Minds family.
CRIMINAL MINDS: I TOLD YOU LAST MONTH
Criminal Minds: Once again Nellie Andreeva is trying to claim a Criminal Minds exclusive. Whatever! Yes, they are planning a Criminal Minds spinoff that is being written by Chris Mundy. They will introduce the spin-off show during episode 17 of this season. None of the new show's characters will be from the original since ABC holds contracts with our actors and the spin is being made by CBS. Nellie Andreeva wrote that CBS passsed on a spin-off last season which is not true. "Washington Field" which was created by the Clemente brothers and Ed Bernero was never intended as a spin-off. It was a completely individual pilot meant for a completely individual show. I hope this sets the record straight.

CRIMINAL MINDS: CBS PRESS RELEASE
Criminal Minds: Here is the latest CBS press release. Great job Criminal Minds!
CBS WINS PREMIERE WEEK IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54
ONLY CBS Increases Its Audience in Both Viewers and Adults 18-49 Versus Premiere Week Last Year
CBS won the first week of the 2009-2010 season in viewers and adults 25-54 for the first time since 2006, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Sept. 27, week one of the new television season.
CBS was the only network to grow its premiere week audience from last year in both viewers (+4%) and adults 18-49 (+3%).
The Network's premiere week wins, with a near full slate of regularly scheduled programs, were marked by the strong returns of its crime dramas and comedies (especially THE BIG BANG THEORY with series highs in all key measures) and stellar premieres of NCIS (the No. 1 show of the week with an all time high of 20.6 million viewers), the series debut of NCIS: Los Angeles (No. 2 show of the week with 18.7 million viewers), the series debut of THE GOOD WIFE (largest time period premiere audience since 2002) and 60 MINUTES' best season premiere since 2005.
For the week in viewers: CBS (11.77m), ABC (11.04m), NBC (7.56m) and FOX (7.35m).
For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (4.1/11) and a close second in adults 18-49 (3.2/09, -0.1 behind ABC). Compared to Premiere Week in 2008, CBS was up +3% in both households and adults 18-49, +4% in viewers and even in adults 25-54. CBS is the only network to post gains in viewers year to year and is one of only two networks up in adults 18-49 (with FOX, also up +3%).
For the week in households: CBS (7.3/12), ahead of ABC (7.1/12), NBC (4.8/08) and FOX (4.3/07).
CBS's Premiere Week Highlights:
-- Wednesday, CBS was first in households (7.8/13), viewers (12.64m), adults 25-54 (4.5/12) and adults 18-49 (3.6/10) for the second consecutive night.

CRIMINAL MINDS (P) was first in households (9.6/15), viewers (15.84m), adults 25-54 (5.6/14) and adults 18-49 (4.4/12). This was the best delivery for CRIMINAL MINDS in households since December 17, 2008, in both viewers and adults 25-54 since November 19, 2008 and in adults 18-49 since last year's season premiere on September 24, 2008. CRIMINAL MINDS FANATIC MESSAGE TO CBS
Criminal Minds: Dear CBS, Thank you for posting a YouTube promoting Criminal Minds today. I was always told that it is the thought that counts and in this case that is about the best that I can say about it. I certainly can't commend you on the content. Omnivore aired almost six months ago so I was less than impressed that you plucked a couple of scenes from it and made a 'new' Criminal Minds promo out of it. I don't know if you realize it or not but the season five premiere of Criminal Minds was last week. You have fresh material to use in future promos. If you simply do not have the time or care to make the effort to throw the fans a bone or try to recruit new fans than could you please forward me your permission to start having the fans start making the promos. Sincerely, Me!

CRIMINAL MIND: FILMING "THE EYES HAVE IT"
Criminal Minds: Article about Criminal Minds on location shooting "The Eyes Have It."
One day before law enforcement officers raided homes in Highland Park and other areas of Northeast Los Angeles, actors from a popular television crime series were busy pursuing their own suspects, using a storefront on Figueroa Boulevard as their film stage.
Film crews started setting up shop along Avenue 59 just south of Figueroa last week, as they made ready to film an upcoming episode of the popular CBS crime series “Criminal Minds.”
The long vacant storefront, situated on a some-what ordinary stretch of Figueroa where a post office, bargain store, bar, liquor store and a pet shop are also located, was outfitted with stuffed bears and other wildlife and turned into “Lloyd’s Wild Game Shop.” The taxidermy shop is supposed to be located somewhere in Oklahoma: A long way from the very urban Highland Park shop transformed through the magic of Hollywood.
An adjacent storefront, the parking lot behind the shops and a nearby public parking lot, were taken over by large trailers and film equipment.
Throughout the day and into the night, local residents stopped to watch the filming, sometimes pointing as they recognized actors from the TV series.
But while the story being filmed was about an Oklahoma crime, the behind the scene goings on had a very L.A. feel, complete with a “taco guy” dishing out savory Michoacán style plates of food.
The season five Criminal Minds episode filmed is titled “The Eyes Have It,” and is scheduled to air at the end of October but before Thanksgiving, actor Shemar Moore told.
Filming concluded late Monday. http://egpnews.com/?p=12816 photo: EGP Photo by Gloria Angelina Castillo

CRIMINAL MINDS QUOTE INFO FOR "NAMELESS, FACELESS"
CRIMINAL MINDS: JAY BEATTIE & DAN DWORKIN
Criminal Minds: Ex-Criminal Minds writers Jay Beattie & Dan Dworkin's new tv show, MERCY, premieres tonight. -In its first season without "ER," NBC is mounting two new medical shows. Neither focuses on doctors, however, which some may consider a relief. (I try not to focus on doctors myself.) "Trauma," which begins next week, is about EMTs in San Francisco; “Mercy,” which begins tonight, follows a group of Jersey City nurses whose often messy private lives are interrupted regularly by their often thankless jobs.

Criminal Minds: Some misdirection but all in all not a bad little Criminal Minds interview:
From Watch with Kirsten:
Paget Brewster: What's the scoop? Well, we're going to have some murderings. We're going to kick in some doors. And we're in HD now, so you'll be able to see us even better.
Joe Mantegna: If Diane didn't know already, Gavin Rossdale is going to be on the show.
P.B.: He's the lead singer from Bush! Fancy...hot...rock star.
Kirsten Vangsness: Oh, and we get to find out what happens to Hotch (Thomas Gibson)!
E!: He died, right? You killed him, didn't you?
P.B.: We can't answer that.
K.V.: We can't answer that, but he's not here right now, is he?
E!: How is Shemar Moore doing since his accident?
P.B.: Shemar's doing really well! He's got an interesting storyline coming up that I don't think we can talk about, but it's very interesting.
K.V.: You'll see a lot of him.
More here: http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/watch_with_kristin/b145710_criminal_minds_stars_promise_new_love.html
CRIMINAL MINDS: UM, HE SHOULD BE WORRIED
Criminal Minds has always owned its Wednesday time slot. Criminal Minds has consistently beaten any show that has gone up against it except for reality shows and I don't think that counts in the real world. "Law & Order: SVU" showrunner Neal Baer doesn't seem to think Criminal Minds is going to be a ratings problem for his show. Maybe he needs to talk to Lost's showrunner!
-JH: "Criminal Minds" is your competition. Does that concern you as far as a similar audience being splintered between the two series?
NB: No, I think they are very different shows. They are both considered procedurals but they're very different in the way they approach the subject matter and the characters and the characters' lives. It's apples and oranges, I think. We were on against "Without A Trace" and that was a procedural show, too, but it doesn't seem to hurt us. -http://www.thefutoncritic.com/rant.aspx?id=20090923_svu

Criminal Minds: Joe Mantegna, David Rossi on Criminal Minds, attended the Chicago/LA Link Reunion Event at La Grande Orange on September 21, 2009. Joe sure stays active. CRIMINAL MINDS: "THE MANDY PATINKIN DECISION"
Criminal Minds: I am not trying to take a poke at Mandy Patinkin, ex-Jason Gideon on Criminal Minds, but I was surprised to see Ken Levine mentioning Mandy. We all lived through Mandygate!
-Sometimes you’re in a pickle because you know the actor can be difficult but they’re also brilliant and no one else is as perfect for the part. Then you have to make the “Is this person worth it?” decision… otherwise known as the “Mandy Patinkin” decision . Often times you make a Faustian deal with the devil. Lots of people got rich thanks to Brett Butler and GRACE UNDER FIRE but half of them are spending it all on 24-hour care at the drooling academy.-

CRIMINAL MINDS: I WANT JON BON JOVI
Criminal Minds: I'm sure that Gavin Rossdale is going to be a great guest star on Criminal Minds but I'm super disappointed that we're not getting Jon Bon Jovi!
'Gwen Stefani's rocker husband Gavin Rossdale has stepped in to replace Jon Bon Jovi in a new TV cop drama.
Bon Jovi was the first choice to play a rock star FBI profilers believe is a serial killer in an upcoming episode of U.S. show Criminal Minds, but the Living on A Prayer star backed out of the project'.

CRIMINAL MINDS OVERNIGHT RATINGS:
Criminal Minds: Here is the overnight ratings for last night. Criminal Minds did well considering it was up against a hit reality show.
"America's Got Talent" was up to a 10.5/17 for its conclusion, with 18+ million viewers watching the second half-hour. CBS' "Criminal Minds" was a distant second, beating the 4.2/7 for FOX's "Glee," which was down from last week with 6.64 million viewers, but still had a strong 3.1 demo rating. ABC's "Crash Course" was well back in fourth. The premiere of The CW's "The Beautiful Life: TBL" had a 1.1/2 and drew only 1.46 million viewers to go with a 0.7 demo rating.

CRIMINAL MINDS: SEAN PATRICK FLANERY GUEST STARS
Criminal Minds: Sean Patrick Flanery will be guest starring in the second episode of Criminal Minds season five. He talked about it during a recent interview:
What can we look forward to in the immediate future?
I did a really whacked out, crazy character on “Criminal Minds” that will be coming out at the end of September. I am really looking forward to that because this guy is totally out of his tree! [laughs] I got to work with John Cassar who is a killer director, he is one of the best directors that I have every worked with. He let me go pretty crazy with this role, so I am really looking forward to seeing that. I also have “Citizen Jane” which is a Hallmark movie that I did.

Criminal Minds: Thomas Gibson, Aaron Hotchner on Criminal Minds, took time during a break in shooting to autograph pictures for us to auction for the American Cancer Society. He talked to us about his summer hiatus and all the fun he and his family had on vacation. All laughs and smiles. Then he walked back to where they were shooting and within a fraction of a second turned back into serious Hotchner. We are blessed to have actors of Thomas' caliber on Criminal Minds! Thank you to all of you that have bought some of these pictures and are presently bidding on them!
