CRIMINAL MINDS "GRUESOME TWOSOME" CHAT REMINDER.

Criminal Minds: Reminder that the chat with Deb J. Fisher and Erica Messer, pictured above, is on Sunday. I really like the fact that Criminal Minds has so many female writers. It isn't that way on all shows. We really need to keep up the pressure on CBS and the advertisers. I just realized something. Can Erica's baby still watch Sesame Street? Are those writers on strike too? No child should have to grow up without Big Bird and Elmo! :(

CRIMINAL MINDS: SAG MEMBER LINK

Criminal Minds: Please take a moment to read this wonderful article and lets do everything we can to get our Criminal Minds writers back to work! Bravo to all the Criminal Minds actors who have supported the writers by walking the line or showing up to lend their support.

CRIMINAL MINDS STRIKE IDEAS?

Criminal Minds: What do you think of holding a "Turn Off Your TV Day"? The fans of Criminal Minds are already doing quite a bit to help during the writers strike but I was trying to think of other ways we could help. I thought maybe all tv viewers and not only fans of Criminal Minds could come together and not turn on their television sets on the same day. Showrunners could get the word out to their fans and we could all send the same message to the networks that not only is there solidarity within the WGA but also with all fans of tv. What do you think of this idea? Do you have any suggestions on other ways we can help?

CRIMINAL MINDS: WRITERS STRIKE UPDATE!

Criminal Minds: I felt optimistic today that negotiations would go well and the Criminal Minds writers would be back to work really soon. Please follow this link and read the latest proposal. I want new episodes of Criminal Minds but not by ending the strike this way. Everyone call CBS and Disney and tell them that this proposal sucks worse than Kid Nation!

CRIMINAL MINDS "TRUE NIGHT" OVERNIGHT RATINGS:

Criminal Minds: The overnight ratings for Criminal Minds "True Night" are fantastic!
"CBS came in second in adults 18-49 and narrowly won in viewership, thanks to "Criminal Minds" (16.3 million, 4.5/11) that came in ahead at 9 p.m. over ABC's "Pushing Daisies" (10.2 million, 3.8/9) as well as NBC's "Bionic Woman" (6 million, 2.2/5). It was the highest viewership and demo rating for "Criminal Minds" since Feb. 7."

CRIMINAL MINDS ADVERTISERS LIST FOR "TRUE NIGHT".

Criminal Minds: Here are the advertisers to target this week. These companies had ads during Criminal Minds "True Night". Call them and don't forget your daily Criminal Minds strike calls to Disney and CBS. I have narrowed it down to three companies that advertise repeatedly on the show and who are the most likely to take this issue seriously.

SC Johnson Glade
1.800.494.4855
* Glade sells numerous products but this is their best sales period for household cleaners. Tell them you will use many of their products and would like them to support the writers strike by pulling their ads.
Pfizer Drugs
Phone: 1.212.733.2323
* Pfizer doesn't just sell prescription drugs. They sell many over the counter cold, allergy, flu, etc. drugs. This is their busy season. Same the same thing as for SCJ.
Coca Cola
http://www.thecoca-colacompany.com/contactus/cokefeedback/index.html

* Tell them the same thing as the other companies.

CRIMINAL MINDS: YO JAY! I HAVE A SCAB FOR YOU!

Criminal Minds: Today I received an email from someone wanting to desperately write for Criminal Minds. Evidently this lady is talented and understands the "criminal minds concept" or so the email says. She would like someone to contact her asap. I have a few problems with this email. Real big problems. The obvious problem is why tell me about it but the bigger issue is that the writers are on strike. If this young woman is wanting to write for Criminal Minds "asap" and already has script ideas to share then doesn't that make her a scab? I know a few very talented writers who would love the opportunity to write for Criminal Minds and none of them have ever asked me to pass something to the studio for them and none of them would ever scab for any network. But evidently a total stranger thought I could or would help them. I emailed her back and used my southern manners (she's lucky the New Yorker in me didn't answer her) and told her I was just a lady with a blog and she had come to the wrong place. Jay Beattie is the strike leader for Criminal Minds. Yo Jay! Who do I report scabs to?
** Update: After receiving a second email from this writer, who has a few scripts ready, I reported her on the WGA scab hotline**

CRIMINAL MINDS NEW EPISODES DWINDLING!

Criminal Minds: Here is a link to an AP breakdown of how many new episodes of Criminal Minds and other scripted primetime shows are currently finished and ready to air. Please keep calling and emailing CBS, Disney and the advertisers. The strike really needs to end soon. Erica Messer, pictured above on the picket line, needs to get back into the Criminal Minds writers' room. There are buildings to blow up, body parts in need of boxes, all kinds of people to hack apart, unsubs to invent, and she can't do that on the picket line!

CRIMINAL MINDS: MESSAGE TO FANS IN GERMANY.

Criminal Minds: Melanie, a fan of Criminal Minds who lives in Germany, sent me this email & asked me to post it in hopes that other Criminal Minds fans in Germany would call their local networks and ask that they air the Criminal Minds episodes that are being dropped:
Hi Jill, The german fandom is really upset, 'cause the tv station, that is airing criminal minds, they won't be airing from 2x14 including 2x18. They say, it's because protection of minors, so they aren't able to show that particular episodes on sunday at 9.15 pm. But in the first season and in season two there were things much heavier. And this tv station repeats the episodes on mondays very late, times from 11.15 pm till 11.45 pm. I'm trying to activate the german fans, that they will call this tv station or send them mails that we can see those episodes on monday nights. So, I'm asking for an own topic, 'cause I don't know any huge kind of message board in Germany. Over a good friend of mine we have more than 1.000 students, who are criminal minds fans, who will be mailing and calling this tv station. Regards, Melanie

CRIMINAL MINDS: MATTHEW GRAY GUBLER

CRIMINAL MINDS WRITERS ALMOST BACK TO WORK??

Criminal Minds: Nikki Finke is reporting that there may be a tentative deal in place to end the writers strike. Key word is tentative but it gives me hope that the writers of Criminal Minds will be back to work soon. That being said, it is still very important to keep sending the emails and phone calls to CBS, Disney and the advertisers but at least there may be an end in sight. I really like Nikki Finke's column. She's fresh and honest and heads above the crappy network kissing reporters that work for the Hollywood Reporter and similar rags.

CRIMINAL MINDS WRITERS STRIKE "ONE CALL AT A TIME" PLAN:

Criminal Minds Writers Strike "One Call At A Time" Plan: Lets work together to get our Criminal Minds writing staff back to work. Here is a wonderful script to use when calling CBS (212.975.4545) and Disney (818.560.1000):

Hello. My name is [insert name]. I fall into the [insert demographic information] bracket and I live in [insert state].

I am calling on behalf of the writers of my favorite shows, [insert shows].

I wanted you to know that I intend not to download any episodes from official sites; not to watch streaming “promotional” video online; not to watch any replacement television, unscripted reality or game shows, and nightly news programs until writers receive fair compensation for their work.

When the new episodes stop airing, I will be joining my local book club. I hope this week’s negotiations are successful. I really want production on [insert favorite shows] to begin again.

Thank you for your time,
[your name]

CRIMINAL MINDS QUESTION OF THE DAY.

Criminal Minds Question of the Day: Who would you like to see guest star on Criminal Minds? Unsub or not? We've been blessed with incredible guest stars every season but season three has been outstanding so far. Great job by Scott, April and Erica! :)

CRIMINAL MINDS OVERNIGHT RATINGS FOR "PENELOPE".

Criminal Minds Overnight Ratings for "Penelope":
The night's best rating went to CBS' "Criminal Minds," 9.6/16, for the second week in a row at the 9 o'clock hour. "Private Practice" put ABC in second with a 5.7/9, just barely ahead of NBC's third-place "Deal or No Deal," 5.4/9. FOX stayed in fourth with "Kitchen Nightmares," which easily schooled a repeat of "Gossip Girl," which earned a 1.0/2 for The CW.

CRIMINAL MINDS: A GREAT REASON TO CALL CBS!

Criminal Minds: Instead of our Criminal Minds writers tossing around ideas about scripts in the writers room they are pictured above talking about the strike while on the picket line. After "Penelope" there are only three new episodes of Criminal Minds filmed and ready to air. THREE MORE. Then we have reruns. If the strike ends soon there is time to salvage the rest of the season or at least most of it. If the strike drags on then we are done till S-4. Please use a part of your holiday break to call cbs and leave them messages telling them you want your show back in production. Also, please remember that while you're celebrating with family and friends that the talented staff and crew of Criminal Minds are now unemployed and desperately needing our help. Please make a donation, big or small, to the Criminal Minds Appreciation Fund. :)

CRIMINAL MINDS: WRITERS' "LUCKY" STEW!

Criminal Minds: I sent a can of beef stew to Andrew Wilder on the Criminal Minds strike line yesterday. It was meant to be a "Lucky" joke. Our incredible writers and producers all decided to sign the can and send it back to me so it could be used as a Criminal Minds contest prize or something to that effect. Lets put this can of Criminal Minds Writers Stew to good use and Auction it off to help the support staff and crew of Criminal Minds who just lost their jobs. I feel safe in saying that this is a unique Criminal Minds piece of memorabilia. The can is signed by Ed Bernero, Simon Mirren, Chris Mundy, Deb Fisher, Andrew Wilder, Erica Messer, Jay Beattie and more! Please be assured that no human body parts were used in the making of this stew! Please place your bid in the comments section. If you don't want to use your name then please use initials. The "LUCKY" AUCTION will end Sunday, November 25th at 11pm est!

CRIMINAL MINDS: WE'RE HELPING MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Criminal Minds fans are making a difference. Passing along CBS' phone number to the other tv show fandoms last week is helping to get the Criminal Minds writers back to work! Keep calling & keep giving out the phone number to all the other fandoms!

CRIMINAL MINDS WRITERS & PRODUCERS AKA SIMON MIRRON GETS BUNNY EARS.

Criminal Minds: Under normal circumstances having a picture of Edward Allen Bernero, Executive Producer of Criminal Minds, with many of the writers on his team would be great. These aren't normal circumstances. The writers of Criminal Minds have been on strike for weeks now. Negotiations start again next week. It is more important now than ever that emails and phone calls be made to the advertisers and networks. They need to know that the support of the fans is never going to lose momentum. If they think they can hold out longer than we can they are wrong. Please add a line to whatever speech you have been using during your calls. Tell CBS and Disney that if they think they are getting lots of calls now they are in for the surprise from hell when we get thrown into a premature rerun season. Let them know that you will double your efforts everyday until this strike is over and the writers of Criminal Minds are back in their writers room! Don't just tell them that...DO IT!

CRIMINAL MINDS EPISODE QUESTIONS & GENERAL EMAILS.

Criminal Minds: Several emailers have asked me what they should do if the writers strike continues and we enter Criminal Minds rerun hell and they can't watch reality or prime time news shows. I have been tivoing shows I never had to time to watch before. Shows that friends have recommended but I never got around to looking at. I also love to read and am always up for a good book. Since many of the emailers were college students then I'm going to let the mom in me answer the question to them and say they should study.

I have also received a ton of emails about "Lucky" and "Penelope" which I will try to answer here thus eliminating the need for individual responses. Yes, I loved "Lucky" too & I'm glad that you enjoyed it. "Penelope" does look like a highlight episode for Criminal Minds and no I'm not going to say anything else about it but....watch on Wed. lol. Kirsten Vangsness plays my favorite character and I am glad to hear from so many emailers that they also appreciate her talent. I agree that Garcia is extra special & yes I saw what happened to her. Again, watch on Wednesday! lol.

I have received the most letters from fans of the shows asking me to express their best wishes to Ed and the writers. I don't speak for any of them but I feel safe in telling you that they all appreciate your kind words and your dedication to both them and the show. Okay, I think that covers all the emails except ones asking specific character and previous episode questions. Can I have some volunteers to help me knock those out please. Email me and let me know who is available. Thanks. :)

CRIMINAL MINDS: KRIS CAMPBELL.

Criminal Minds: Kris Campbell, pictured above with Carmen, a representative of the WGA, walked the line many times last week with the writers of Criminal Minds. Kris is an exceptional young man & I am proud to call him my friend. New readers of the blog wouldn't know this but Criminal Minds fans adopted Kris after he was an extra on Criminal Minds "North Mammon". He blogged about the experience & I found his blog & when I went to CA in March I met Kris in person. Scott David, the Casting Director of Criminal Minds, helped Kris get his third Sag voucher as a favor to me & the fans of the show. Long time readers of this blog know I place a high premium on people being positive and just being nice. Kris is a very nice young man. When the writers went on strike & we decided to take food to them on the picket line I asked Kris if he could help us & without the slightest bit of hesitation he said yes. It was his way of paying back the kindness that Scott David had shown him. I wanted to express my sincere thanks to Kris for his friendship and send a shout out to his mom, also named Jill, who frequents the blog and loves the show. Hi Jill!

CRIMINAL MINDS FANS: EXCITING STRIKE NEWS!

Criminal Minds: "Leaders from the WGA and the AMPTP have mutually agreed to resume formal negotiations on November 26. No other details or press statements will be issued." Lets keep the pressure on so our wonderful Criminal Minds writers can go back to work soon!!!!

CRIMINAL MINDS WRITERS STRIKE BACK FOR A FAIR CONTRACT!

Criminal Minds: The writers strike ends week two today and still our Criminal Minds writers are on strike. The weekend is almost here and that would be a perfect time to accelerate our action plan to support our writers and get production of Criminal Minds up and running again. Take some time this weekend to send emails and to leave voice mail messages for the networks. Lets make it our goal to fill up every voice mail system of every network with polite but firm messages.

CRIMINAL MINDS FANATIC QUESTION OF THE DAY.

Criminal Minds Fanatic's question of the day: What are your five favorite Criminal Minds episodes? We did this during season two but we have seen some great new Criminal Minds episodes since then and I am wondering if anyone's favorites have changed since then. :)

CRIMINAL MINDS' ADOPTED STAR KRIS CAMPBELL.

Criminal Minds: Kris Campbell, pictured above with several of the writers of Criminal Minds, is an exceptional young man & I am proud to call him my friend. New readers of the blog wouldn't know this but Criminal Minds fans adopted Kris after he was an extra on North Mammon. He blogged about the experience and I found his blog.
